Sorry if this topic has already been discussed. I was wondering will the Keep allow us to choose Hawke's personality and since he is back in DAI will he respond based on those choices?

Thanks

I just became a keeper but haven't had the opportunity to use the keep yet but from what I've heard if we can remake Hawke's face (in-game, not in keep) then maybe there's an opportunity to set their personality as well, should be too hard as there are three options. Speculation is that the keep will be open to the public maybe in early November so just wait for about 2-3 weeks I guess.

Given that Hawke's personality was a large part of customization and would be easy enough to implement, I would say it's extraordinarily likely.

Yes, you can set your personality in the keep and it'll likely have them react to what you did in previous games and what you are doing in yours if hawke heard about it. One of the devs said something about it recently.

I know, hence why I said wait 3 weeks. I was so lucky to get it, I'm not gonna blow it now

There's an awesome presentation made by Fernando Melo and others where your question is answered affirmatively. See from 9:25 in this video:

I hate the useless

I feel that without him, the situation would have been much worse... who knows, Kirkwall could have been completely converted to the Qun or thousands slaughtered! In Act 3, the casualties from the start of the Mage-Templar War could have been much worse.... I don't feel as if Hawke was useless, but helped limit the incidents (s)he was thrust into.

But that is your opinion and I respect that, I was just curious    ^_^

I really don't get the hate on Hawke...Why? Because s/he didn't single-handedly eradicated teh deep-roads, killed a hundred dragons with a finger-snap, stopped the Qunari-threat within five minutes and ended the templar-mage-conflict just like that? Oh, and because she couldn't at the same time she was supposed to save everyone in Kirkwall prevent her mother from being killed by some mad serial-killer?

Well..all I can say is: people seem to love stuff like game of thrones, which is full of people failing all the time (Hello Mr. Robert Stark, hello Daenaerys Targaryen)

Why? Because that stuff doesn't have super-over-heroes that always succeed. And Hawke isn't a chosen one (for a pleasant change) or blessed by the gods or whatever. I like it that she is simply a person, thrown into various tough situations that don't go all that well in the end...

But that's just me of course, everyone is allowed to have an opinion. But Hawke really gets a lot of hate it seems, and I just feel like stepping in and defend her from time to time

the qun is fair: Everyone is slave, freedom is evil.

And leting a lot of crybabies that inhabited Kirkwall die is, actually, doing a favor to Thedas.

In Act 3, the casualties from the start of the Mage-Templar War could have been much worse.... I don't feel as if Hawke was useless, but helped limit the incidents (s)he was thrust into.

Actually i feel he or she was completely irrelevant in act 3: Support templars... you need to kill them, support mages... you need to kill them. I felt that Lloyd defeating 1 to 3 skeletons in Redcliffe was more usefull than Hawke support in Kirkwall. Nothing personal, i tried to fit myself into hawke but whoever created this crap even removed that privilege from me...

But that is your opinion and I respect that, I was just curious ^_^

Finally, i thought there was no civilization at BSN, good to see there is people that can be argumentative without the need of bashing anyone in the process or feeling offended by non offensive oriented comments

I'm always amazed by the Hawke hate as well. I thought they did a fantastic job of making her feel like a real person, personality and flaws and all. That game had it's flaws, but the way they handled Hawke, Hawke's relationships, and the companions were not among them.

I'm not sure how to do the multiple quotes from a single quote, but I'll reply in the order.

I wholeheartedly would be Qunari if that was an option in any DA game. It's a true working Socialist society and I love that. The only thing I do not like is their view on Magic, but the rest works.

While I do not value the lives of the Nobles in Kirkwall, multiple innocent were killed in the attack.

Two very bad things could have happened in Act 3... 1) Orsino became a Harvester and could have decimated the town or 2) Meredith (after killing Orsino) would have seized power as the new Viscount and that could have been disastrous for Kirkwall/ Free Marshes.

Though I have had issues on the BSN in the past, I do try to react in a calm and logical way. I do not fear constructive discussion/argument, but once it comes to attacking the persons character and slinging insults because someone doesn't agree with you... well, you've lost your credibility.
