As indecisive as I am, I would sort gender first. Which VA and body model for your chosen race do you prefer. You'll be spending a few hours on romance and at least 50-60 with your Inquisitor.

Neither, pick Dorian, umm I mean:

 

if you're someone who tends to take their LI everywhere with them pick Cullen. that way you have free choice of your party and can try various combinations in your first playthrough

also you already know Cullen relatively well and this way you get to kow Cassandra better and can make an Inquisitor well suited to her when you romance her

I could go on about how unappealing I find Cullen personality wise if you'd like, so bland and uninteresting to me. Whereas Cass, her hot temper, her pragmatic attitude, her strong aura and underneath all that she has a hidden romantic side makes her uber uber attractive, plus being the right hand of the Divine, a Seeker and a companion kinda sells her more. But that's just me.

I think both Cullen and Cassandra are highly attractive, especially now that we've got a better look at them in the new demo.  I have to say that after meeting them, I'm more attracted to Cassandra.  Cass was pretty saucy, which was awesome.  I'm not sure how well Cullen's going to interact with mages.  In the couple minutes we saw, he didn't seem very pro-mage, whereas Cass seemed more neutral.  Romancing him with a mage might turn out to be a lot like romancing Fenris with one.

Neither. Josephine is where it's at. Hopefully there will be a bajillion romance scenes or just a large amount of scenes to help build the relationship. Being with advisors is going to demand it. 

 

Personally, I'm in love with Dorian and Cassandra and will very much enjoy putting them both in my team with Cole and my most likely Archer Rogue Human( yet to determine male or female because of reasons). Just flip a coin and decide that way since you're most likely going to want to be with both at some point.

I'd think about it this way - if something unexpected happens and prevents you to do second playthough - ever, will you be more sorry for never experiencing Cullen romance or Cassandra romance?

 

I myself will probably roll a male aiming for Cassandra (loved her in DofS, DA 2 and what glimpses I saw for DAI), but once in the game might change my mind and go for somebody else - it'd happened before.)))

Thanks everyone for pointing out important aspects of each LI, appearance, character or just your personal opinion. For now i think i will go with Cass. She is rough around the corner and it will be interesting to see how she will romance with a mage, given the fact that her family was slaughtered by blood mages. In the movies her opinion about mages had changed a lot. Maybe in this way we will see how much.

I'm not into Jos at all. I didnt like her from the start and when i heard her voice it was a bit worse. Sera and Solas arent at all my type, though i will become great buddy with Solas.

I'd regret not romancing Cass then. I certainly hope that i can play the game again many, many times

For me, it would be Cassandra because I don't go for a romance with a male companion (or in this case, advisor) first. That's just who I am. But out of all the companions, I will be going for Iron Bull first because I want to paralyse my Inquisitor.

Iron Bull is a master of stamina and knows how to use it. Also, he doesn't really adhere to the Qun which makes him that little bit more awesome.

That's a hard one. I really like both characters myself. But I'm going to say Cullen. Personally I find him interesting because he's developed so much as a character, with little influence or input from our Heros. He's done it on his own. We've seen him at his worst, and it looks like we may now have the opportunity to see him at his best. Also, if you romance him, you'll be more likely to switch up your party and get to know all our new companions, vs. Cass, who you might feel obligated to have along all the time if she's your LI.
