In Inquisition will your choices, and the choices you made in previous games, matter or will it be like Mass Effect?
Will your choices matter?

The only realistic answer we mere fans can give at this point is "We don't know." That said, I hope the answer is "Yes."

Pretty much what River said. Masseffect 3 having your choices matter was honestly horrible. It gave a number value.. that was just great, and then to add insult, they 'required' you to play multiplayer. Yes yes, was fixed later but still, a slap in the face for those who pre-ordered it.

DA 2, ME2, and ME3 have all taught me not to expect much from Bioware when it comes to this subject. The most we'll probably get is brief mentions of things The Warden/Hawke did and cameos of old characters. I don't expect decisions from previous games to greatly impact the story in DA:I. Less disappointment that way.

That's right, the choices don't matter. Like Commander Shepard saving all those people.

Tell me: is there a game where choices really matter? Games like Dragon Age just create the illusion of a choice. You can't create a game with hundreds of different outcomes.

Yes. It's called "Dungeons and Dragons." Also "Pathfinder", and "Unhallowed Metropolis." And there might be one soon called "Dragon Age: Inquisition". You won't have as many choices as those games allow you, and I therefore recommend you look into those games, but Inquisiton really might let you shape the world you see. (And it's certainly advertised as a game that will.)

The choices from me 1+2 mattered all through the third one.
Until the end.

I just hope Bioware doesn't pull a Rachni Queen with Morrigan and the Old God baby. Didn't do the ritual in Origins? No problem. Morrigan was able to conveniently find a way to complete the ritual without you. The end result is a slightly less friendly Old God baby.

It will most likely matter in a minimal way and then it will then be retconned at their whim. Bioware is well known for this, I thought people ought to be used to it by now.

Go sign up for the Keep Beta and see for yourself. Those are the decisions that the DA team as well as the Keep beta team feel matter to Inquisition. If you have any to add, then sign up for the Keep beta and offer up a suggestion.
Otherwise, wait a bit for the open beta of the Keep to hit, then go check it out for yourself.

They won't. DG, Mike Laidlaw and others have flat out stated that if you didn't do the ritual, there is no Old God Baby. If a male Warden romanced Morrigan and did not do the Dark Ritual, she still has a kid. It won't be a OGB, just an ordinary little boy.* If you didn't romance Morrigan, and if you turned down the DR as well, there is no kid at all.
*The gender of the kid was identified as male in Witch Hunt.

I seem to recall Gaider specifically saying that that wasn't in the cards: either the Warden caused the OGB to exist, or the OGB doesn't exist.

Just in case there is a horrible ME3 ending I've not pre-ordered DAI even though I am really looking forward to it. ME3 has made me wary and I now have trust issues

Depending on the choices you make in Inquisition, the elder one will explode either blue, green, or red after you kill him ![]()

It would be a hell of a troll if Bioware included Day 1 Free DLC that allowed you to chance the glowing hand of the Inquisitor from green to red or blue.
