i5-4460 CPU, R7260X GPU and 4 gig ram. I'm leery about the ram, I could've sworn I had 3 gig extra but that might've been part of the motherboard that I got replaced I guess. The GPU too wasn't my first choice but one must make due. So I figure I'll be able to run it (I hope, since DAI played a large part in finally getting my schlocky relic upgraded) but at what settings?

What's your screen resolution?

What's your screen resolution?

I don't usually set it very high in my games. 1024 x 768 or 1280 x 960. I don't think I've ever noticed much of a difference tbh but I'm also kind of oblivious.

I doubt you'll have any issues at medium settings at those resolutions. *Maybe* tone down some of the big hitters (MSAA and other post-processing stuff) if you have to, but should be perfectly playable and still look good.

The only thing i would upgrade is the GPU and maybe the power supply unit (You can open the side of your PC to check, just make sure your PC is turned off and you don't touch it): The psu is optional if you already have a good one.

Video Card: AMD 280x http://www.newegg.co...N82E16814121803 $260

or a Nvidia 970 gtx (its a better card) ($330 - $360 if you can find it in stock somewhere as its pretty much sold out). it beats the 280x by 30-40% which makes it worth every cent. 4gb vram should see it through next 3 years easily. http://www.amazon.co.../dp/B00NT9UUGI/ $360

Power Supply:  Seasonic 650w http://www.newegg.co...N82E16817151118 $99 can pretty much run any GPU and has 5 year warranty.

Thanks for the help! I'm at work right now so I can't check the power supply but I will do so when I get home.

Thanks as well to 'Regular Wise Guy'. I appreciate the response guys :)

@House Lannister: Will you be roleplaying Joffey as the Inquisitor? Because that I would like to see livestreamed :D

No, but I was thinking about playing a Tyrion like character and streaming that. :)

Well, I think I might ask aswell.

My specs are:

- Windows 7 64 bit

- Intel Core i7-2600 @3.4ghz

- 12 Gb RAM

- amd Radeon HD 7770 2 gb

I´ll certainly be able to run DA:I on minimum, but my video card doesn´t fit quite the criteria for recommended.

I´d like to know if I´ll be able to run it on ultra or high on 1920x1080 somehow.

Unfortunatley I can´t afford myself to buy a new video card and even if I could I wouldn´t have enough room for it to fit into my pc case.

Rest easy my friend 0Kasushi0

Comparing the AMD 7770 2gb specs. to the AMD 7870 2gb specs. is not going to show a profound difference.  A few more cores and such, but nothing that will be like the difference between like "hey.. will this VW Beetle go toe to toe with this Chevy Camero Z28?"

You meet all the other specs. that put you well into the recommended settings, with some spare awesomeness to boot. You will be able to rock med. to high settings across the board with little to no issues provided your have your resolution / frame refresh rates in sync. You may very well even be able to play around with some Ultra settings, but be forewarned that if you see any clipping, or lag, it would be best to dial back so as to be able to enjoy yourself without those hassles. The beauty of FrostBite 3 is how well it renders, even on the lower settings.

So, enjoy yourself! You are good to go!

Ok, wondering if my laptop can get ultra/very high with some tweaks:

Alienware m17x r4
I7-3610qm
7970m 2gb
8gb ram
I currently play bf 4 on ultra with 2x msaa and aa off..game debate says I'll hit high smoothly

Opinions? I've listed the laptop on eBay, if I sell it I'll buy a msi gt72 w/a 980m. I kno my laptop gonna struggle with witcher 3..

As far as we know, performance should be about the same as BF4.

I wonder what would happen, if you don't have the minimum requirements and try to start the game. Would you get a screen telling you you can't play the game, or would there be a warning detailing that your computer doesn't have the requirements but lets you play anyway.  With past games you could play even if you didn't have the minimum specs. (I played beyond good & Evil with a too slow processor and I could still play the game though it went really slow)

I'd say no real advantage unless you're running an excessive amount of background tasks while playing. And we're talking gaming + fraps + video editor levels here, not just leaving your antivirus on.

 Cheers.  Appreciate the response.

Looks like you'll be able to have med to high settings. What kind of processor do you have?

Depends on the publisher, but usually "minimum requirements" are the bare minimum for running the game on low settings at 1080p. If you are fine running at 720p 30fps on lowest setings, you can probably get by with weaker hardware.

AMD FX 8320 3.50Ghz

8 GB Ram

AMD R7 260x 2 GB 1920 x1080. Up dated graphics drivers a week or two ago.

Windows 7 Pro. 64 bit

I see maybe mid high or better. At least it should be better than a PS4. I hope.

750 is going to run the game just fine. Best if you upgrade to 8.1 which is free for you in your case.

Does anyone know a good pair of headphones for a reasonable price? (I don't mean a headset, I never use a microphone.)

Have you checked out if it is the 64 bit version and not the 32 bit?

Could someone please shed some light on these specifications?

CPU: AMD A6-3670K Quad-Core @ 2.7GHz
GPU: AMD Radeon 6530D <- This is what I'm concerned about.
GPU Memory: 512MB
RAM: 8GB
OS: Windows 7 64-bit

I would be happy if I could play it on low settings.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

From a quick google search, I would guess you're on a laptop. Your card is directly integrated on the processor? I would try it at a low enough resolution.
