From a quick google search, I would guess you're on a laptop. Your card is directly integrated on the processor? I would try it at a low enough resolution.

Thanks for your reply - interestingly enough, the specifications I listed on a desktop, and not a laptop.

Confident about running it on mine!

Intel i7 4790 3.6ghz

16GB DDR3 RAM

Nvidia GTX 780 3GB VRAM

All running on windows 8.1 in an nzxt phantom 410 and I've just ordered a new Samsung 840 evo 500GB that's on sale, which I'll probably be using to run some of the bigger games that i frequently play (So inquisition is totally going on there :D), hoping to get the game really pretty on 1080p! It's my first build, did it last month and so far it is amazing! My only real thought that somebody might help with is does anyone think its worth overclocking the graphics card? It's an ASUS DirectCU II so pretty sure its good for some overlocking, but thought for 1080p its not worth the risk of increased heating.

Hmm the GT 620 looks like might be able to  run on almost everything low 720p at 30 FPS. It's not really a GPU meant for these types of games. Great for less complex stuff though!

I would recommend a $130 upgrade to a GTX 750ti for a nice boost up to about PS4 level graphics and performance.

Games like Divinity: Original Sin, Wasteland 2 and the upcoming Pillars of Eternity might also scratch your bir RPG itch and be totally fine on your setup.

There's really no risk in OC'ing a GPU, so long s you aren't playing with the voltages, it's just a matter of having a 3D benchmark handy and using MSI afterburner to OC and keep an eye on temps.

At the same time it's really not necessary. a 780 is something like  over 2 times the power of a PS4's GPU. You are golden for the next gen at better than Ps4 graphics level and performance at 1080p.

In 2-3 years when you'r drooling over a 3K 21:9 ultra wide 34" monitor with G-Sync... then you can worry about OC'ing, or maybe just pick up another 780 on the cheap for some SLI goodness :)

Thanks  :) , I thought that'd be pretty much the case but thought I'd check from people who may be more used to fine tuning a PC. Its a great PC but still paranoid about about some things with it, only just stopped constantly alt-tabbing when playing games to look at how the temps doing .

Indeed, I was a bit surprised to see videos of games like GTA IV running on this intergrated gpu on youtube (albeit with low graphics).

^What s/he said.

Or if you're more AMD: Sapphire Radeon R9 270X Dual-X 2G GDDR5 OC ($170) a bit more pricey or Gigabyte Radeon R7 260X GV-R726XOC-2GD ($130)

Hi all,

I know i exceed the recommended requirements, however im not sure if that means i can max everything out on 1080p maybe someone here can make a better guess then me :)

My specs:

win 8.1

i5 4690 @ 3.5 GHZ

16 GB DDR3/1866 RAM

Powercolor R9 280x 3GB GPU

So yeah is that enough to max it out on 1080p or might i have to tone it done slightly (im sure ill play it solid on high).

Thanks in advance ;)

I believe I can run it, but not sure how high or low of settings I might be able to with this set up.

CPU: intel core i7-4700hq

RAM: 8gb

GPU: Nivida GeForce GTX 860m

OS: Windows 8.1

The 860m can run BF4 on Ultra at almost 30 FPS @ 1080p and over 40 FPS on High. So you're looking at mix of high and medium settings at a good 50-60 FPS @ 1080p. You're very close to PS4 levels of performance.

Here is my spec, I hope it is enough to run it at medium settings or I have to seriously think about upgrading:

OS: Windows 7 home premium 64bit

RAM: 8 GB

GPU: Asus Radeon HD 6970 DirectCUII 2GB

CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1090T ~3,2 GHz

Hard drive: Samsung SSD 840 Pro

Normal resolution is 1680 x 1050.

Thank you very much

I think I will be fine running it maxed out at 2560x1440p

i7 3770k @4.2Ghz

8Gb RAM 1660Mhz

256Gb SSD

2 780GTX in SLI (better have an SLI profile at launch)

Asus IPS/PLS 1440p monitor.

I hope they have resolution scale like BF4 does so you can crank it up even higher in visual quality.

The 6970 runs BF4 on Ultra at 1080 at over 30 FPS. So you're definitely fine running at 1680x1050, if not fully ultra, then mostly ultra with some high settings at around 30 FPS. You might be able to hit a nice 60 with a mix of medium and high settings.

They do have downsampling/separate resolution for UI/3D support built in, just like BF4.

Sounds like you have the same monitor as mine the Asus PB278Q?

I'm pretty confident I'll be able to run the game with decent enough graphics but since my build just scrapes past the recommended settings a second opinion might not be remiss.

i5-4430 @ 3.00GHz

8gb RAM

GTX 760

2gb VRAM

Better than PS4 settings, probably a combo of high an Ultra at well over 30 FPS 1080p. Probably can do ~50-60 FPS with high settings.

I just wanted to clarify...

With a Gtx 550 Ti, do you think I'm looking at low or medium settings for the most part?

Intel Core i5 4200M (2.50GHz)

8GB Memory

NVIDIA GeForce GT 840M 2GB

Any chance I could get at least medium settings, though probably on a lower resolution?

Depends on your screen resolution or at what resolution you are willing to play at.

It runs BF4 on high settings at over 30 FPS but at 900p. 1080p takes a hit and you're looking at medium, maybe, maybe a high setting or two to keep above 30 FPS.

You're looking at a mix of medium and low settings to maintain that 30 FPS bar. You might be able to get away with all medium settings, if you're willing to put up with some drops into the 20's. For me personally, that's unacceptable, but this is not an FPS, and for many that would be fine in an RPG like this.

If you have a lower rez screen or are willing to set the internal resolution of the game lower (to 900 or better 720p) you should have no issue with medium settings.
