Ok, so this question is not "can I run it?" But can I run it on ultra with at least 40 fps?

Processor: no problem, I got this one in the bag, 5820K @4173.4 MHz

RAM: No problem 16GB @2400

Real question is GPUs: 2x MSI TF 660s. I'm in the process of OCing these guys and nodding it to be able to boost the voltage for more OC headroom.

So can I play at Ultra with this set up? What will it take for the 660s to get Ultra settings?

P.S. I plan on getting either 2x 970s or 1x 980s but probably not before the game launches.

Just two 660s in SLI will allow it to run on ultra settings yes. There shouldn't be a need to overclock the two.

My rig is similar but I have 16 gigs of RAM.  You should be able to get medium but extra RAM could improve performance.

I use 5040x1050 eyefunity 120hz screens with a single 290 but I dont even ask if it can run a game.

I havent found rpg games that demanding at all.

since Mantle will be included with DAI I expect it to run flawlessly for my liking.

I run shadow of mordor fine even though I changed some settings as maxing out seldom is needed in such games and I often dislike depth of field etc..and other blur effects. I can max out Diablo 3 for example.

If BF4 and that game is any indication the amd owners should be happy with DAI and Mantle support.

I just hope they added trueaudio with DAI also.

with win 8 and a 4670k 4.5ghz and a 290 and 8gb ram its not like I ever feel limited by the hardware.

I just wish there was a new dieshrink for a single card as I dislike crossfire solutions.

highly sensitive to sync issues so dual cards is a no no for me.

Once I play and need more horsepower its a good reason to upgrade but todays cards isnt a good enough choice yet. next year maybe.

since Mantle support is there anyone buying a new videocard should consider amd 290 etc..

its just that good´for gaming.

CPU: Intel Core i5 3470 Quad Core @ 3.2 GHz

GPU: Gigabyte Radeon HD 7770 1GB

RAM: 8 GB

OS: Windows 7 Professional

I'm pretty sure I can run the game on Medium settings, but I was hoping I might be able to go a bit higher than that but sadly I lack the knowledge to know for sure.  If someone could take a look and let me know I'd really appreciate that, thanks!

If it is close to BF4 benchmarks, then somewhere above 30fps 1080p med settings no AA and below 60fps low settings no AA. You can compare to similar cards in list below (link in my sig)

Not a single game available will play differently with 16GB of RAM than it would with 8GB - that's a common misconception.

16GB+ is really only beneficial on editing machines / a professional workstation rig or when you're using a multi-screen setup.

If you want to think about it from a mathematical perspective:

DAI is 29GB. If all that were in it were zones that is 3GB per zone, so 8 gigs of main memory is enough to prevent page faults. In reality it is more like 2 gigs textures and environment info and 2-3 more for other information (combat, stats, etc), so peak memory usage is probably at most 6GB, so 8GB is enough to handle that plus OS/Background tasks and still not page fault.

More memory only helps when you need more than 8GB in active memory (which typically occurs when video or music editing, application development, or if you are doing some serious multitasking).

Medium for sure. Your processor is great, and your GPU is above minimum. High (with no AA, or other extra stuff) is a potential.

Thanks for the feedback!  Yeah, it would be nice to play on high settings, and I'll have to lurk around the forums to see where the best trade-offs would be in the graphics settings.  Makes me wish I had enough for a more expensive GPU a year ago, but I hadn't expected DA:I's visual beauty =P.

Unless the game doesn't support SLI for some reason, you should have no problem with Ultra 60 FPS in 1080p.

AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE (3.40 Ghz)

12 GB ram

Saphhire Radeon HD 6850 1GB

Windows 7 Professional

Minimum is in the bag, Guessing somewhere in the mid-range graphic wise.

Wondering whether to upgrade my videocard a tad to for example a Radeon R9 270X, feel like my cpu can handle just a bit more before getting bottlenecked, opinions?

Ok friends, forgive me in these specs have been posted by someone else. I just have to know as I know nothing about computers really.

EVGA GeForce GTX 760 2GB

Corsair CX Series CX750 750W ATX12V/EPS12V SLI Crossfire 80

Intel Core i5-4590 Haswell Quad Core 3.3 GHz

8 GB RAM

Windows 7 64 Bit

Thanks for the help!

@ Kaleeftw

Enjoy yourself! Your rig is primed and ready to enjoy med to high settings, provided you confirm your resolution and frame rate sync with little to no issues (I mean, even powerful PC's get hiccups now and then!) You may even try to play around with some ultra settings if you want to see particular enhancements in visuals, but I would not recommend full ultra settings as you may / possibly then experience some lag, or a severe decrease in smooth gameplay when the screen is too "busy" (like example, too many spell and skill animations going on all at once!)

So, breathe easy and enjoy your Dragon Age: Inquisition!

Provided the performance is similar to BF4, you will get in the range of 50fps @ 1080p max settings with no AA.

Hello!

My assumption is that I'll be able to run the game, but I wouldn't know on what settings.

CPU: Intel Core i7-3770k 3.50 ghz (times two)
RAM: 16GB (that much I know will be fine)
GPU: GeForce 680

Quoting myself here. Is there anyone that know on what settings I might be able to play DA:I on?

Not sure how that relates to Main Memory usage. (Also I though it was 64 since it requires  a 64 bit Windows)

Only 64-bit processes can utilize more than 4GB system memory. 64-bit executable for DA:I would be nice but so far very few games have ever provided one.

I thought it was 8GB cut off for 32-bit, but I could very easily be wrong. Since DAI requires a 64 bit OS I assumed they'd include a 64-bit executable as well. They might not I suppose.
