I just wanted to know how well would my game run with this...
GPU: GeoForce GT 520
CPU ; Intel® Core i5-3450 CPU @ 3.10GHz
Memory: 12.00 GB
Resolution: 1920 x 1080, 60HZ
Driver version: 344.48
OS: Windows 7
My GPU seems weak so I think I might just buy a better graphics card

Should work on Low - Medium settings as Vram is 1gb and min is 512mb but if you want higher settings you'll need a new GPU

Really bad advice, don't listen to this. The GT 520 is, and there's no nice way to say this, a horrible card that's not suited for gaming at all. The 8800 GT, which is the minimum requirement, is nearly twice as fast.
To top it all off, you're playing in 1080p, so you definitely need a new GPU - there's absolutely no way around it.

I need a new GPU, since my Radeon HD 7450 is not good enough
I bought a Radeon R9 270 which turned to not being compatible with my motherboard (black screen, even after working on some bios settings...)
A guy who's working in a PC shop told me i need a GPU with no extra power
He advised me a GT 640
Do you think it will be able to run DA:I ?
My specs
GPU: ...
CPU ; Intel® Core™ i5-3350P CPU @ 3.10GHz
Motherboard : Foxconn 2ADA 1.00
Thanks for any help

Is this guy an intern or something? I could never recommend that to anyone in good faith and it's even worse than the 7450, so it'd make absolutely no sense. Additionally, it's not a compatibility problem as this card (and superior ones) should work just fine, although the mobo is pretty bad and Foxconn isn't a good manufacturer.
Which power supply do you have?

And the r9 270 doesn't work with it? Does your PC still boot with your old 7450?
You've kinda got me stumped. Both your mobo and your PSU should be able to handle the 270 just fine and if it's still working with your old GPU, it can't be a defect of the motherboard.
It could be that your 270 was simply a defective card to begin with.

Nope, the card works very well on another PC tested this afternoon in the shop
It just doesn"t work on mine
Fans are running, but "no signal input" on screen, vga or hdmi. I read a lot of things over the internet about cases like mine, sometimes disable "boot security" in the Bios works, and sometimes, not.
I have a "retail" PC (HP Pavillion P6-2371ef) and it seems it doesn"t accept GPU with pins connected on it.
And i want to be able to play ![]()

Ok, if your motherboard has issues with using cards that need the external power connector, that limits the field a bit. But the GTX 750ti is a solid card and is available both with and without the need for the extra power. I know the Gigabyte version needs it. The MSI GTX 750 Ti Gaming doesn't (and MSI is an excellent manufacturer). Zotac also has one that doesn't need external power, but the only time I've ever used any of their gear was for my mom's office pc, honestly don't know how good they are, but it's based on the nVidia reference design, so probably fine.

I really don't get it.. the Enermax power PSU is installed? Just to make sure you're not using the 300W PSU anymore.
It should work, your mobo is perfectly compatible with every current GPU, safe for a barley noticeable performance loss because it "only" has a 2.0 PCIe x16 slot.
EDIT: Just read the post above, now it makes sense - I misread your former post.
In that case, I have to agree, go for the 750 Ti. It's definitely your best bet right now.

Yes it's installed ![]()
I swear i tried almost everything i found on the internet to make it work even before bringing my PC this afternoon to the shop, to let them try the R9270 on another PC (my last hope was that it was defective).
Thanks Larg_Kellein for your advices
And sorry for my English, i'm a bit tired and disappointed to find my words !

I took my old computer in to upgrade it, I could only afford to go with an AMD FX-6300, Gigabyte R9 270 2gb, 8gb ram, Window 7 Home Premium am I close to recommended? The monitor I use only goes to 1600x900 so less then 1080. And no, I cannot upgrade it again, as I had unexpected costs when I brought in my old computer which meant I could not get the 280. If the monitor is not 1080p, can I boost settings up and not lose much in the way of graphics?

I don't know if you'll be able to run it on High settings all the time, but a mix of Medium/High won't be a problem at all. Just test it as you go and decide what works best for you.

Depends on your resolution, but unless you're looking at 4K stuff, then yeah you should be golden.

Ultra won't be any problem with this as long you don't plan on playing with 4k resolution. Although I'd advise you against getting 18GB RAM if you don't need it for work-related stuff or a dual-screen setup/multi-tasking - you really don't need more than 8GB for gaming. You can definitely save some bucks here.

Thanks for everyone's help. Much appreciated and feel better about upgrading now. This will be my first computer game in several years and I think I'm going back to my first love, PC gaming instead of getting a new console.

I qualify, I mod the becheeses out of Skyrim, 4k textures, ENB, etc., and am more than happy with lower frame rates in order to get to see the shiny. With that in mind, what am I looking at for DA:I?
