Well, I'm just gonna leave my specs here, maybe someone can tell me just how good/bad the game will run on my system...

Rig:

Intel Core i7-3630QM @ 2.40GHz

8 GB RAM

2 x nVIDIA GeForce GT 650M

native resolution 1920x1080

As is probably evident, I am using a laptop as I have nothing else (Will get my xbone most likely end of year)

I just want to know what settings I can expect!

Thank you in advance for helping me out!

Oh, laptops have SLI support? You learn more every day...

Anyway, I guess it should run on medium specs, probably with toned down antialiasing. But unfortunately I'm not an expert when it comes to laptop performance.

Single GT 650M seems to be better than minimum 8800 GT, and you have two of them.

Your CPU is also above minimum (but below recommended).

Your RAM is in recommended area, so there should be no problem here.

I guess it should run in your native resolution, but don't expect to run it on High settings.

Oh, one more thing. What OS are you using?

Better than Xbone settings! Your GT 650M's in SLI can run the game at 1080p on around High at around 35-40 FPS vs the Xbones 900p at 30 FPS (And likely not all on High).

Oh, one more thing. What OS are you using?

It is a Lenovo Ideapad with an ultrabay, which in my case came with a second GPU... Don't have a disc drive, but who needs those nowadays :D

I am running Win8.1 pro.
Hopefully medium doesn't look that much worse :D

Really? I would have assumed, that the fact that the Xbox is basically optimized for that one system would make it run on those specs really well...
It is the downside to PC gaming after all that the game will most likely not be perfectly optimized for every setup...

Anyway, thanks for the responses! If the game on medium looks as good as Shadow of Mordor did on my rig on low than I will be more than happy with it!

Kinthalis ThornBlade is suggesting that you may even be able to run it on high, as you can see :). I asked for OS, because DA:I doesn't officially support Vista, so I wanted to make sure.

If I may: I'd advise you to get this particular version: Click

That's the best 750 Ti, imo, and should be able to run DAI just fine on medium (maybe even a mix of medium/high) settings in 1080p.

Hope everything goes well for you.

Just to let you know : it finally worked !!

The guy at the tech shop told me he worked on the bios settings, but it seems it was false

I turned off the "secure boot" and activated the "legacy boot", and it simply worked

Thanks again for all your help here, and now i'm so happy that i'm going to preorder the deluxe edition !

Since it looks like there are people around today and my post got lost at the bottom of the last page, here's my stuff:

i7-3630QM 2.4GHz (3.4GHz turbo)

AMD 7970M 2GB

8GB RAM

Win 7 64-bit

1080p

I qualify, I mod the becheeses out of Skyrim, 4k textures, ENB, etc., and am more than happy with lower frame rates in order to get to see the shiny. With that in mind, what am I looking at for DA:I?

Every thing looks fine catabuca however I am not sure about AMD I only get nivida but If it is a 2gb graphics card you should be fine I have a 2gb card I have more ram but you should be able to get high settings I would think.

If you can run BF4 you can run this that's a pretty good reference

Cheers. Here's hoping. I sacrifice smooth gameplay in almost every game I play so I can get high quality screenshots. I'm one of those people. (Fight dragons at 15fps in Skyrim? Sure, no problem :D )

My card doesn't support mantle, I've had this laptop nearly 2 years now so it was before they properly introduced it. Still, I've been able to run everything I've wanted at high-ultra so far, but I'm yet to try a Frostbite game. Time will tell!

Actually, as of the latest drivers your card does support Mantle as far as I can tell.

It doesn't really mean all that much actually, outside of CPU overhead. I know console gamers will tell you differently, but real world performance in games is about equal given similar GPU's and modern CPU's. Your setup is beefier than an Xbone and so your performance will be a bit better, that's just the way the cookie crumbles.

Now, if your PC was sporting a CPU that was as low end as what's on an Xbone, then yeah, the Xbone will outperform you, simply because CPU overhead on PC (unless using MAntle or until DX12 finally hits) is much higher. But almost no one who has something they could call a "Gaming PC" has such a low end CPU now  days.

OS:
Windows 7 Ultimate - 64-bit

CPU:
Intel Core i5-2500 @ 3.30GHz

System RAM:
8GB

Graphics Card:
GeForce GTX 560 Ti

Display:

1920x1080

(Not too sure how to check for any more info... )

I know my graphics card is in major need of an upgrade, would it best just to go for the recommended GTX 660? Or shoot for something a bit higher?

Also is my CPU ok? I have no idea about these things, my brother is the tech-guru/computer builder but he's away on his holidays at the moment (jealous) and I feel bad bugging him with computer stuff while he's chillin'. :P

Oh it does? I took a look last week and came to the conclusion it didn't, but perhaps I'm wrong. Well, that's even better news. I should get to updating my drivers! (I haven't done it in a while  -_- )

CPU is fine infact I've same CPU but mine is overclocked to 4.4GHz,as to 560Ti that will run DA:I fine not at max settings however, infact I was in same boat as you, I  had 560Ti and did a cheap upgrade off ebay and got an AMD 280X OC  3GB card at a great price, keep me going until next year when the R9 390s and Nvidia new models appear.

So  quick recap you can play DA:I quite well,if you want max settings then upgrade video card.

4gb ddr3l ram

2 gb Nvidia GeForce 740m

and a SSD of 480GB

I just preordered  but my processor is a Dual Core, hopefully it will work

I don't think going up to a 660 would be worth the money. I'd save up and go for a 970 at this point but if you really want something now for under $200 that might be worth the upgrade I'd consider a 670 or an R9 270.

That upgrade isn't really worth it. How much money are you willing to spend?

I don't know, it's not just your CPU that poses a problem but your GPU as well. You may get by on the lowest settings, depending on the resolution you're playing at, but anything beyond that won't run smoothly.

For sake of curiosity, if you believe in benchmarks

1nMT0fq.jpg

An old desktop dual core, note it doesn't have HT tecnology vs an ultra low power laptop 4gen core i5

And I've used this CPU because of this

For those asking dual core - one of the min-specish dual core workstations I have does indeed run the game, and not too terribly. I haven't played all that far though, and I'm not sure if we'd officially support it, so your mileage may vary.

It's a Xeon 5150 2.66GHz, with an 8800GTX (512mb), 4GB RAM.

I expect a Sandy Bridge i3 to run it fine as long as it doesn't have some kind of "core assessment" or w/e and actually ignores your 4 logical cores.

I know I can run it - at least on minimun - The question is: How well?

The GT 8800 is very slightly faster than your 740m, that was my main argument for saying it could be problematic.

What resolution are you playing at? Just take a look at this.

Search for your card and its average FPS on Low, Medium, High and Ultra settings respectively. And low doesn't just refer to the settings, but the resolution as well.

35 fps - medium at 768p

I could overclock my GPU, my laptop has two coolers

I'd say to just adjust the settings as you go along and see what works best for you. You should simply consider that it's possible you won't get sufficient performance with anything beyond the lowest settings.

Regarding OC: overclocking mobile parts is pretty dangerous and I'd advice against doing it. If you still really want to do it, make sure to be extremely careful and do your research.
