In case people need help with the details of their computer for when they postg on this site.
Even though the game requirements for the can you run it site is sometimes off, this scanner I found is not off, it will pull the raw detils of your hardware off and give you a list of what your running roughly. Still may need to make minor adjustments if your overclocking and what not, but suspect if you do that kind of thing you already know your computer detills by heart.

Sorry if someone already posted a link to a computer hardware scanner.

I think/hope I can run it decently.

What settings do you think I'd be able to run it on?
GPU: Nvidia GeForce 680 2GB
CPU: AMD FX-8320 3.5GHz
RAM: 8GB
I'm confident I'll be able to run it, just want to know what settings I'll be aiming for
Most likely high-ultra, depending on the resolution you're playing at, and you might need to tweak some settings. You've got the same cpu as me, and a good gpu. You're within the recommended specs, so it should run, and look, pretty nice.

I just saw someone on youtube doing a preview of Battlefield 4 with the same graphics card as mine. I'm feeling hopeful now.

I'm pretty sure I'll be able to run it, the only question is how well do you think I will be able to?

The 880m will run battlefield 4 at 1080p at high settings at 70+ FPS. At ultra plus some serious AA at 45 FPS.
It will run it better than a PS4. ![]()

The 645 manages about 30 FPS with drops on high settings in BF4 (no AA). So a blend of medium and highsettings can probably put you at a solid over 30 FPS.

Systemrequirements always gets my system wrong, it told me I couldn't run BF4, although it ran on high.
Intel i7-4500U 1.8 GHz
Nvidia Geforce GT 750m
Windows 8.1, 64-bit

Yes, but I'm happy I just upgraded seeing those requirements. My old PC could get to the minimum reqs but not the recommended ones.
Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit
Intel® Core i5-4690K CPU @ 3.50GHz -- (Haven't overclocked yet, probably will before DA:I launch)
8GB RAM
Asus Radeon R9 290 (4GB VRAM)

Windows 8.1
i7 3770K

GT 430(gave my nephew my HD 7850)
I'm in no hurry to buy a new video card. I will wait and find out after the reviews.

Not sure what PC you have, but many of those system specs for modern games are on the high side. You can usually play everything just fine with a slightly older system.
That's what I did for years really.

yeah, if console isn't an option, just go ahead and get the game for PC anyway and try it out. If it looks good enough to you, and you can still enjoy the game, great! if not, then there's no reason that you can't just wait until you have enough for a better PC.
I wish you the best of luck with DA:I, and gaming in general.

I have a 750M on my current laptop, it's really a very capable GPU, able to run most games pretty well as long as I turn the settings down and don't set my expectations too high xD.

I don't have a console. Or money for new rig, for that matter.
This is why I said, I just want to be able to run it. Does "not really sufficient" mean "can't run it at all" or "run it, but you risk breaking the game midway (or something equally bad)"?
Is your computer a laptop or desktop? If it's a desktop, you don't have to part with a giant pile of cash for a very respectable GPU upgrade. I'm on "team Green" (nVidia) and haven't really kept up with AMD's stuff recently, so my recommendation would be the very competitively priced 750ti or whatever AMD has at that range (guessing that'd be the R9 270 or 280).

RAM: 5GB
CPU: (dinosaur) Intel Core 2 Quad 2.66 GHz
GPU: GeForce GTX 660 (just upgraded)
I'm hoping this will get me through launch. Obviously the processor is the next thing on the list to upgrade. If I understand the specs right, I'm hoping it gets me just above the minimum to run.
But it would be helpful to know in case I need to be saving quickly to upgrade that cpu faster than anticipated.

You should be fine for medium-ish at 1080p or below, Frylock. May have to go a bit lowe on the AA settings, but will still look very presentable.

It should be ok to play that least the minimum, but at times Frost Bite 3 can be CPU intensive.

More expensive where I bought it from at the time, mantle support.
+ unlike most people (apparently) my negative experiences have been with Nvidia cards in the past and not AMD cards.

Well, drat.
Here I thought I was going to be able to run it with just a memory upgrade.
According to CanIRunIt....I can't even run it on min specs.
CPU, Video Card and Memory all need upgrades.
