Alright so here's what I got, I know I can RUN it, but I'm wondering where I fall in line regarding the recommended.

 AMD Phenom II X4 945 Deneb Quad-Core 3.0GHz
8 GB DDR3 RAM
AMD Radeon HD 7770

Win 7 64bit

I think it's time to upgrade the processor but unfortunately I'll need to get a motherboard too

can i run it said my comp meets recommended requirements. does that mean i can play on high graphics or just medium?

It doesn't mean anything. "Can I Run it" is extremely inaccurate, and I recommend you just post your specs here so we can have a look at it.

I think you'll get more out of a graphics card upgrade. Your card is outdated, but if you run the Mantle API, you can still get some life out of that processor.

Thanks, does an AMD R9 280 sound adequate for the job?

Sounds best, there will also be better drivers and patches and possibly a sale on the game by then.
If you are considering getting a new pc get an ssd hard drive. At least 250gb. A lot of new games are 30-50gb and the games just run so much smoother and load so much faster. Game sizes have tripled but mechanical harddrives are juat as slow as always so I think if you want a smooth experience it is just as imprtant these days as a fast cpu or gpu. 16gb vram is also a minimum these daya if you want to get a bunch of years out of it. Ram is cheap though. You willfind 16gb kits for the same price or less than quite a few 8gb kits

Okay, I'm messing around on ibuypower.com, trying to build a computer and I have a couple questions on what you recommended, but anyone can chime in.

-if I get an ssd hard drive, do I still need a regular hard drive. The default option for the computer I picked, has both, but the ssd is the primary hard drive and the other one is for data.
-16 gb of vram is for the system, not the graphics card, right? The graphics card I'm eyeing is 4gb and there is no 16gb option (which would be horribly expensive). If you mean for the system, I'll likely get 8 gbs and upgrade later.
-the processor will be a i7 hexa core (3.3 gbs), which will obviously be enough, but what I want to know, is how long will this be good enough for high/ultra settings?
-for the graphics card, I'm opting for the gtx 970 over the amd r9 290. It seems to perform better and stay cooler, as well as it seems to make less noise.

Are all my assumptions correct, and is there anything else I should be concerned with?

You will probably want a regular hard drive just for extra storage. SSDs are much more expensive per GB. So having an extra 2TB regular drive to keep stuff on is handy.

It's a bit over budget. I was hoping, praying to the maker that I could find something good for around $700. to  $900. The DA games are the only games I play so I'm on the fence about getting something new or not.I'm really hoping to find a super black friday/cyber monday deal so I can justify the expense to my husband. Thanks for the suggestion I need all the help I can get as looking at specs just make me go HUH?? and I realize 'm too old/dumb to make sense of what they mean.

To clarify, the new 970m and 980m mobile cards are a significant leap forward compared to previous generation of mobile graphics cards. They are much faster (close to desktop 770) and also run cooler, so you can find them in a number of the thin portable laptops.

If you can find a good deal around the holiday on laptop with 970m and i7 CPU (look for models ending in HQ or MQ, avoid the i7-xxxxU energy saver CPUs), it will have great performance with Inquisition and can run new games at 1080p for the next several years. Otherwise, look for one with 870m or 860m.

Would this be capable of running on my laptop? I don't have money to fork over for a new desktop atm and I don't have any new consoles. If I can't run it on my laptop I'll have to get it for my PS3.

Intel i3-2370M 2.4GHz

AMD Radeon HD 7870M

8GB DDR3 Ram

Windows 8.1

If anyone could give me a rough guess on this I would very much appreciate it. I'm not expecting to run on high settings, all low settings would be good enough for me (just want to play the game).

Your specs are about the same as mine, we even have the same processor. Only difference is that my GPU is a Radeon HD 6970.

You should be able to play on anywhere to medium to high settings. Does your GPU have 2 GB of ram? If so then it's as strong as the recommended specs and you won't have to worry about a lot.

Hello All,

My main concern is my cpu because it's a dual core and Bioware is saying the needs a quad. I can fork over the cash for a Intel i5 quad but I don't want to if it's not necessary.

CPU: Intel Core i3 4330 3.50 GHZ (dual core)

RAM: 8 GB

GPU: Nvidia Geforece GTX 750 1GB

Im getting it on console, but Id be curious to see if it runs on my laptop :P

2.4Ghz (Can get up to 3.0Ghz via that turbo boost thing)
8 Gig of Ram
Nvidia Geforce 740m

I think thats the most important info. And Im on Windows 8.1, but I dont think that matters.

You're fine. Hyperthreading means your i3 isn't going to choke on 4 threads. The game won't perform as wlel as if you had an i5, but you should be set for a PS4-like performance.

What's the CPU model?  If you look above I reply to another guy with a 740m. That GPU gets about 5 FP in BF4 in low settings. So mediumish settings at 30 FPS is probably what you'd want and be able to achieve (at 768p).

You, my friend, have just saved me $200. Thank you!

Hi ya'll; I want to build a new PC next year; what is a good motherboard for gaming?  I want to spend $100-$150. Thanks

That's dependent on your CPU amongst other things. Also you should always buy hardware once you have the money in hand. A good deal today will likely be a rip off in a month or two.

CPU: AMD Phenon™ II X4 965 Processor 3.41 GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650
RAM: 4 GB
OS: Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Edition Service Pack 2 (build 6002), 64-bit

So I know that I can't get ultra settings with this, but will I at least be able to play it with somewhat decent settings until I can upgrade my PC? Also, if I wanted to play this on the highest settings, would I be able to if I just replaced the GPU and got more RAM?

Yes.

That CPU will still be a bottleneck in most games, but I think you'll be fine for DA:I.

I know barely anything about this, so I apologise on beforehand. I just wonder if I should get this on my PC or PS4 (I know this game should be played with keyboard and mouse). I also understand that time has taken its toll on my old friend, but will it run and if that would be the case what settings according to a scale of low/medium/etc would it land on (approximately)? If it would land on really low would it be better to just settle down for the PS4 version?

I would play on: 1080p 60hz (someone earlier said that could be nice to include).

CPU: Intel Core i5 2500K CPU 3.30GHz
GPU: GeForce GTX 570
RAM: 8.2 GB
OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Edition Service Pack 1 (build 7601), 64-bit

Thanks in advance :)

Hello all

I have to ask as well, as I'm in serious doubt.

I play on a laptop.

Intel Core i7-3630QM 2.4GHz (turbo boost to 3.4 GHz)

NVidia GeForce GT 640M with 2 GB VRAM

8GB DDR3 Memory

The alternative is my PS3. What should I choose? I think the GPU is listed as a not supported graphic card for DA:I but how much does that matter?

Thanks in advance!

I'm fairly tech saavy and believe I can run the game at medium-to-high settings, but I'd like a second opinion on this.

Here are my specs:

CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-3537U CPU @ 2.00Ghz but factory-overclocked to 2.5Ghz

GPU: Nvidia GeForce GT 720M with a dedicated VRAM of 2GB

RAM: 4GB

What do you think?

Alright guys break it to me gently can I play DA: I on my laptop?

CPU: AMD A6-3400M APU with Radeon
RAM: 4GB

GPU: AMD Radeon HD 6520G

I can run DA:O and DA II on high settings with a small fps drop and if on medium its perfectly smooth

Hey all. Will i will be able to run it on high with some tweaked ultra settings on 1080 with decent fps? Im sitting right on the Recommended settings, and i am putting a little more fate on my graphics card since it has pretty nice overclock potencial. :) I also dont mind lowering the resolution to 1600x, so i guess that could give me a few extra performance as well?
