Seems that this game is a lot more heavier on the CPU compared to BF4. I can run BF4 on ultra without any AA with constant 40FPS, depending on the area i can even get to 60 on 1080p.

This is my PC:

CPU: AMD Phenom II x4 965 3.4GHZ

GPU: AMD Radeon HD 6950 2GB

Ram: 12GB

SSD: OCZ Vertex 3

I hope i can run it on medium, but seems that my CPU will struggle with it :(  and i cant upgrade it until march. What do you guys think?

Here's hoping I can run it on my laptop.

CPU: I7 4500 @1.8 GHz 2.4GHz

RAM: 8 GB

GPU: AMD Radeon 8850M 2gb

I don't know why my CPU has 2 numbers on it though... And I'll be satisfied with running DAI on minimum settings.

So.. I have a problem. My desktop pc is broken at the moment and I don't know when it will be fixed (it might take another week or two :(). I have a laptop which I'm currently using but I wouldn't dream to play Inquisition on it because my specs are way below the minimum. But I googled it anyway and found out that many people managed to play recent games with my specs when they weren't supposed to.

I'm not expecting to be able to play the game (even with everything on low), but I'm wondering if it will at least open and let me use the CC to keep me entertained while I'm waiting for my desktop PC. I played The Sims 4 on it and it ran just fine. My question is, will Inquisition even open?

Intel Celeron 1007U 1.50ghz

4 GB RAM

I have 1792MB of graphics memory but only 32MB of dedicated video memory. And when I try to see what my GPU is, it only tells me "Intel HD Graphics Family". There's a youtube video of someone playing Battlefield 4 with this GPU but their CPU is better than what I have, so my problem would probably be the CPU, I don't want my laptop to fry or something.

Anyone know whether I will be able to run the game on medium/high with an nvidia 645m? If I have an i7 processor and 8gb of ram, my only worry is my gpu.

CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-2600S CPU @ 2.80GHz
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 6570 1GB
RAM: 8GB Ram

Windows 7 64 bit

Core i3 2,9 Ghz

6 GB RAM

ATI Radeon HD 5570 (1 GB VRAM)

Battlefield 3 is playable in Singleplayer, but I think the Xbox 360 is the better alternative for me.

I just wanted to thank everyone who gave their input to me.  Yesterday I ran out and got a new video card.  It wasn't the one I really wanted but I know now I can run this game.  I know everyone said I could have ran it on the lowest settings because my video card didn't meet it but I am a worrier and decided that I couldn't take that chance.  In Feb. I'm going to be building my new PC so it can last me until then lol

Your pc is very similar to mine and like you I'm not planning on buying a new computer right now; had hoped to... but my new house is taking long than expected.

Seems all we can do is wait and see once the game is available to the general public.

Hey all.

I've got a late 2011 Macbook Pro. I run quite a few games with decent settings in bootcamp on Windows 8 (64 bit). I recall BF4 working, but can't say I was impressed enough with the game to really care and mess with the graphics, I got it for free from EA for the Sim City screw up.

Anyway, according to the system reqs I'm right in the middle of the Minimum and Recommended setting. I've been there before though, solidly in the "playable" column, but found that games can run sluggish even on low (Witcher 2).

Intel Core i7 2.5 ghz (quad core)

8gb DDR3 RAM

AMD Radeon HD 6770M 1gb VRAM

Thanks in advance if anybody has an idea how this unit will be able to handle the game. I'm trying to make the decision to either get it for my computer or just buy the PS3 version. If my macbook isn't going to run it with at least decently better graphic settings than the PS3 and a stable frame rate, than I feel like I might as well just get the last gen console version and enjoy the game from my couch.

I think the answer isn't CAN I run it . . . but how much I am willing to put up with graphics wise TO run it! lol

Personally I'm fine with turning down the graphic settings but that isn't going to do much good if the cpu is the issue. This is why it'll be good to hear from ppl playing the game with a lower-end (between minimum and recommended) cpu.

Since I have a decent gpu what I'm hoping is that as with most games if I turn down the shadows and lod/draw distance it'll run ok i.e. not dropping below 30fps.

yes -of course - but i would change those specs:

change the 5820k to a 4790k. The 5820k has 2 more cores but it is an older technology and 3.3ghz vs 4ghz. It's going to be slower in all games and trade blows otherwise (like 15% faster best case with stuff like media encoding). You have to overclock the 5820k or it's just a waste of money.

and i would also downgrade the 980 to a 970 and put that money to upgrading the ram to 16gb and the ssd to 250gb. The 980 isn't worth the premium if you are skimping elsewhere.

That's what I'm buying myself when I do :)

i5-2310 2.9ghz Sandy bridge Quad Core (turbos up to 3.3 ghz I believe)

EVGA GTX 970 4GB SC ACX 2.0 - Have overclocked to 1700 mhz while maintaining decent temperatures (below 70 celisus)

8GB DDR3 1333 Mhz

1TB 7200 RPM HDD

Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit

Corsair GS 700 Watt

On a monitor @ 1080P

Like to upgrade video cards but waiting to see what AMD and Nvidia have in the works. Very tempted with a MSI R9-290X 4g Lightning or even a Sapphire R9-290X Vapor-x 8g considering current prices.

What I play on.

Win7 64bit

i7-4770k @4.0ghz

MSI Z87-GD65 Gaming MB

16g G.Skill Sniper memory DDR3-1866

Nvidia GTX 770 2g in SLI

Corsair Neutron 256gb SSD

Seagate Barracuda 1Tb 7200rpm HD

Thermaltake Smart M 850w psu

BenQ  XL2420TE monitor

Normally I'm the one helping people on these kinds of threads, but I want to double check before I preorder. I know I'm good except for the card, which is the big ticket item.

Specs:

OS: Win 7 Professional, SP1, 64 bit

Processor: Intel i7-2670QM @ 2.20 GHz

RAM: 8GB

Card: nVidia GeForce GT 525M, 1GB dedicated

I'm not concerned about how pretty I can play the game right now. I'm building a computer within the next year and I'll enjoy the aesthetics then. I just want to ensure that I can install and run the game. What can I say? I'm an addict :D

@Hathur -- I did see that, but since I plan on upgrading machines, I could just hold onto it for a year. I'd posted in case someone knew more than me. I'm curious if I can use my current pc for the next several months.

It is possible that I missed this, but I'll pose the question regardless. Is there a list of required features of a graphics card? In that case, I could manually compare specifications. (The only one I can think of atm for an example is Pixel Shader 3.0)

You can definitely run it. It might not be really pretty, but you're good to go. Min spec for dedicated graphics memory is 512MB. Everything else looks spiffy. Have fun!
