Oh, I'm fine with low-to-medium settings, I'm just happy it can run it. Thank you very much for your help :D

The game runs very well.  I'm getting a rock solid 60fps at 1440p Ultra settings with my SLI 970s (and that's with 2x MSAA, which I don't really need).

Although I've fixed the brief error on my side (corrupted drivers), it seems that everyone with dual cores cannot even enter the game and cannot change settings since there is no external config and no settings file will be created if you can't start the game. Unless Bioware specifically sees to this issue or its something else that just happens to also afflict dual core users you may not be able to play.Sorry guys :(

I toyed around with the Hinterlands on a MacBook retina (750m video card).  With low settings -- save textures, which I plugged in at medium -- I got a pretty steady 30fps at 1680x1050.

Ok, I thought myself more tech-savvy than this, but I'm having a hard time determining whether my computer can run it or not. Both SystemsLab and Game-Debate say I won't be able to.... Here are my specs:

Processeur Intel® Core™ 3110M (2.40 GHz, 3 MB L3 Cache)
Intel HM76

Carte Graphique AMD Radeon™ HD 7670M Graphics avec 1 GB gDDR3 (PowerExpress)

Mémoire vive 6 GB DDR3 de 1600 MHz (4 GB x 1 + 2 GB x 1)
2 SODIMM

Ecran 15.6" HD LED (1366 x 768)

I just need to be able to play it on low. Any insight appreciated!

So it does run on a dual-core?

okay! Happiness.

Here I was hoping just to be able to do the CC tonight.

My Toshiba Qosmio x500 S1811 from 2010 ran the game on medium settings, some frame rate drop and stuttering, but totally playable. (I thought my video card and cpu were too outdated). Game loads really really slow with my system. Not the smoothest experience, but unless I wanted to wait until the weekend, I just had to try! Happy that it ran it. (and no overheating!)

Well, this can tide me over until the new system is in my hands on Friday and I have everything loaded.

Will have to try to get used to the new controls.

Yeah i got 30 FPS with almost everything at High. Some Medium. Anti at low. And it's still super pretty the games.

I close everything of course. Nothing running in background. No firefox or whatever to take away my ram.

Yup, my old i3 still chugging away. Even with a crap GPU (GT 630 2 GB) I am running along smoothly on mostly mids.

Only thing I sacrificed was the res.

It's still a pretty game, but I am mostly pleased how smooth it is on my old ass pc.

Only I notice any lag is when I do that shard searching thing when you scan an entire area of the map, but even then it is barely anything.

The I3 has 2 cores yes, but 4 threads since its hyperthreaded. You need 4 threads. So he can scrape by. Its the older dual cores that won't work. Anything less than the specific minimum core 2 quad can't run this game.

Oh and sorry ArvinDulku since everyone who had an issue had a dual core I thought all dual cores didn't work yesterday since having 2 extra cores simulated is not quite the same as actually having four physical cores. As long as you've got 4 threads you're probably fine (depending on other hardware).

But I was under the impression games do not take advantage of hyperthreading?

Or is simply the existence of the additional virtual cores that allow the game to run?

Ah, of course. Thanks. Hard luck for AMD guys, eh?

Oh it does just not that much. Remember the i series came much later than the core 2 quads so they are better at running both single threaded and multi threaded programs. For the most part anyway.Any i3 in the 2000-4000 series (excluding core i3-2100T, -2120T) are superior to any core 2 quad or core 2 extreme. They are in general just more capable. An old core 2 duo or older would probably run at 100% just launching the game

wonder if this would at least work on medium

A10 5800K quadcore 3.8 GHz

the built in 7660D radeon GPU (planning on getting a stand alone card just not the cash to spare right now)

8 GB ram DDR3

pretty sure it will be pushing it if it would even work at all

Your GPU isn't dedicated and so shares memory with the system You'll never be able to render as fast as a dedicated card so it is below min spec.

Even though you have a higher clock speed on the gpu the minimum dedicated amd card beats you in every area. If you can get in you'll chug slowly on low fps

I can run on Ultra pretty smoothly, but I'm getting a CTD during the first cutscene with no error code.

The game has many wonderful bugs. I actually stopped playing for a while. I'll come back next week once they've patched some stuff (can't wait any longer than that XD). DA:I has irritating issues no matter if you can run the game on low or ultra

Trying to run it on a Macbook pro using bootcamp.

Specs are:

Processor: Intel® Core™ i7-2635QM CPU @ 2.00 GHz

Installed memory (RAM): 4.00 GB

Video Card: AMD Radeon HD 7400M Series

Don't mind low settings.

figured. i'll just hold off until i can get a dedicated card then DA:O and DA2 where fine but i know DA:I is way more demanding

It also runs worse than it should on every possible graphical configuration. Even on ultra it feels like they spent a fair amount of time making the game nice for next gen consoles, forgot about min spec comp users (all the way up to utra - I still sometimes get stupid ctd when the game's doing nothing complex) and gimped the game as best they could for ps3 and xbox360 (again without optimisation). There are a lot of games (even terrible ones like Assassins Creed Unity) where low users have been able to play on below min specs. No dice here. I'm not sure if it was possible (since its DICE's engine) but they should have given more settings an off feature. System can't handle drawing all those textures for miles? Reduce draw distance.

Its frustrating for me when I see other people can't play DAI since its only in the past couple of years that I've been able to easily afford monster gaming rigs. My first computers weren't really gaming material and there was even a time when all I had was an integrated card while I saved to buy a new computer but even then I could still play the games I wanted.

I understand that games are more advanced and the engines are more complex, but DA:I seems to be another game where in design and implimentation they thought of the big consoles first and pc second. Ports are bad because computers and consoles don't work the same way with regards to VRAM. The UI and interface that's good for consoles is terrible on pc

Hi. I dont know really if i can buy the game.I don't understand much about computers so i hope you could help me.

AMD A8-4500M APU with Radeon™ Hd Graphics (4 CPus) 1.9 GHZ (the game needs at least 2.5 GHZ)

8 GB AM

AMD Radeon HD 7640G + HD 8600M Dual

If i understand correctly my pc its a quad core, then it should work. I'm not really sure about the CPU speed requirement (GHz).Games with higher requirements work fine for me but i'm not really sure about this one.I don't really care about ultra graphics. Whit this PC, it would have a "decent" performance?

Has anyone else played on this card? I want to play on at minimum medium graphics quality and have no issues with upgrading... I just dont want to upgrade unless I have to :P

No offense Lobino and Orchid but go to this thread http://forum.bioware...-please-see-op/

See the first post. If you;re unsure looking at that should give you a rough idea quiskly.

Orchid - Your card will do well but don't try setting the graphics too high untill NVIDIA gives us some drivers. If your CPU is the AMD 840 then I think its higher than minimum stats
