Interesting.... I have a core i7 3930, and two water-cooled GTX 580's in SLI. The video cards are... 4? years old now. (And a Corsair 1200 watt PSU, so power isn't a concern.)

 

This is the first game since I've bought this rig, that cannot run smoothly using "Ultra" settings. Have to back down to "High" to get it looking smooth with no stuttering.

 

I'll be tweaking it with custom settings in the next few days of course, since things like FSAA have a much greater impact than other settings, but at least I have a starting point that's acceptable to me.

 

May be time to get the next pair of video cards I've been looking at, hmmm.

it should work, but you can never be sure with those mobile GPUs (shared memory on some and reduced performance compared to a desktop equivalent is a problem...)

 

Unfortunately work has me jumping around all too often to let me settle down into the luxurious desktop life.  Thankfully, despite it's age my laptop has been really good about handling games with heavy requirements.  I definitely feel more confident about it now, though.  Thanks a ton!

easy reference for all just scroll down a little .Sadly it is in german but the table can be read by anyone. You always have to go with your bottleneck(weakest part if something is in yellow you will probably not be able to go above yellow).

what resolution if it is 1080p i would try the following (after reading some benchmarks) load beta drivers , set to ultra --> put textures one level down--> turn AA down.

Btw is it using both GPUs atm? (could be that it is not supportet by sli right now and a single 580 gtx is not enough for max)

I hope it is not costing you 2000$ over here i would have to pay around 1000€ for the same pc. The Pc can be build by any company i would not go for alienware or dell or whatever is "IN" right now (just look how long the guarantee is)

@Xeper. In Israel the prices are way higher even in the supermarket. Many Israelis are angry cuz of that. Here its normal that we have higher prices than eroupe.. Wish we had the Eroupean prices :/

Is DA:I meant to be running 100% CPU? It's the absolute only thing I have running when I look at Task Manager.

Will I be able to launch the game at all if I don't have the minimum requirements for CPU/GPU? People say you can't, but my pc specs didn't meet the minium requirements of Battlefield 4 but I still ran it on low/med smoothly

Yes i  opened it i only had a compare with 740m = 5.9 and 540m =5,6 nothing else. But right now i only get the message "back soon" ^^

I'm upgrading to 2x 970s and i5 4690k. Now I know this is well beyond the recommended requirements, but could someone tell me how well I can expect to run it on maxed out settings on a 1440p monitor? I'm entirely clueless about hardware and most people talk about 1080p or leave the resolution out when discussing performance so some help would be appreciated.

If i understand correctly my pc its a quad core,then it should work. I'm not really sure about the CPU speed requirement (GHz).Games with higher requirements (like Far cry 4) work fine for me but i'm not really sure about this one.I don't really care about ultra graphics. Whit this PC, it would have a "decent" performance? A demo could be nice to test the game. Every computer its different but i dont know if it worths the risk.

Thanks for the link, I'll check it out. I'm hearing varying experiences with SLI with some people saying it runs like a charm and others experiencing way too many issues...  if anyone here has an SLI setup with res higher than 1080p, I'd love to hear your experience.

-Intel quad core Q8300 2.50 ghz

-4 gb RAM

-Ati Radeon HD 4870 (1gb)

I don't know if anyone remembers, but even on high end machines, Dragon Age 2 has this awkward missing body issue with many Nvidia cards (when running on DirectX 11). I wonder if it still happens in DA:I. Back in DA2 I had to downgrade to using DirectX10 cos I coudn't stand missing bodies in conversation

My understanding is that you absolutely do need 4 processor threads to launch. So if you've got a dual-core without hyperthreading, forget it. 64-bit OS is also a hard requirement, unlike BF4.

Hi, I'm new around here.

I must know before buying the game if it will run somewhat OK on my PC before I buy something that will turn out to be a worthless block for me.

I got a Radeon 7750, i3 3220, 4GB ram. I plan to play on around 1300-700 resolution (don't remember the exact numbers) on medium settings, On "can you run it?" website what got me worried is the RAM, I look at the OP here and I worried for my GPU. Can I play it decently?
