I know this sounds crazy calling da:I a jrpg. But think about it, the auto stat allocation, heavy gear focus and really flashy/cool animations and light show combat gives me the impression that it's very inspired by Japanese rpg's, which isn't a bad thing; some of my favorite games are Japanese role playing games (ff13 trilogy comes to mind) do yall think that dragon ago had some of its game play decisions influenced by Japanese game developers kind of like how the demon/dark souls and now bloodborne series are inspired by Western dark fantasy archetypes?
