I was inspired decided to rip off  Autumn Crowe's Q&A and decided to create a somewhat similar version that asked about your Inquisitor's opinions on the party.

 

Of course then I realized halfway through that we still know little about the companions and these questions might be hard to answer.

Ooh, these are fun! Though i'm only going to answer regarding the 4 we have seen dialogue interactions with: Cass, Josie, Leliana and Cullen.

 

Bear in mind, these are first impressions.

 

Cullen:

1. Ser Buckethead. My first inquisitor is going to hate him and will do everything in her power to torment/get rid of him. 

2. Dale elves and templars don't play nice together, so yes.

3. Rival

4. No.No.No. Not touching a templar with a ten foot pole (unless there is a blade at the end of it).

 

Cassandra:

1.  Going to butt heads with her from time to time, but she's straightforward generally allright...for a human.

2. She's fine as she is.

3. Friendly rival.

4. Incompatible sexual orientation.

 

Leliana:

1. A bit creeped out. Something about her seems...off.

2. Her belief is irrelevant so long as she serves her duties.

3. Rival....?   Don't know.I just get the feeling that i shouldn't turn my back on her.

 

Josephine:

1.  She's ok for a human i guess.

2. They could. Too bad my inquisitor will be about as diplomatic as a fist to the face.

2. Is her belief in Adrastianism a boon or a detriment to the Inquisition? That's something she needs to wait and see. Milica is not devouted Andrastian but as long as Leliana's faith doesn't interfere with her she can believe in what she wants.

1. What's your general opinion of her? She seems firm and strong, Milica thinks she will mostly butt heads with her.

2. Do you think she needs to lighten up? Sometimes, Milica likes to joke around a lot and Cass might be too serious for her.

3. Is she friend or rival? Maybe more in rival side but Cass can suprise.

1. What's your general opinion of him? Conflicted, as mage she knows that spirits can be dangerous and she doesn't know what Cole really is. She will be wary.

-He's not too fond of fade denizens. He's keeping a close eye on him. On one hand Kaz thinks if he's truly a spirit, then he's alright. However, any knowledgeable mage knows not to trust fade spirits so easily.

-Kaz thinks so. He's not going to banish him on sight like Vivienne wants to do. But the moment Cole gets out of hand, it's back to the fade with him

-Kaz admires him as a powerful mage. Eager to learn more magic he's never been exposed to. However, he's still a slight be wary of him for being so steeped in blood mage culture.

-Kaz will definitely support him. Afterall, if Dorian truly is a good man, then surely not all Tevinter magisters can be cruel like they say in tales.

Kaz will romance Dorian mostly for his mind and also Kaz is a protector. He feels like Dorian needs to be protected from the evils that Dorian is trying to hold back. There's a lot of emotional synergy between the two.

- As an elf, he's untrustworthy of the Qun eventhough he knows plenty of city elves join them.

-He'll trust Iron Bull with certain secrets. But not the most important.

My perception of each NPCs will of course be different depending on which character I roll (I.e: Through the eyes of my Lavellan who struggles with her new role alone in the midst of 'outsiders'. Or as my Trevelyan who would be more comfortable being around this 'Herald' business)

So,, from what little that we know and from my Lady Lavellan's POV.. Here goes:

Dependable Military General.

Very much at first. The 'stories' she heard about Templars not hesitating to destroy a clan just to get their mages.. And it doesn't help that she's clan Lavellan's First.

Starting of as rival, but gradually become friends due to frequent interactions, because of her 'Military First' policy, making him invaluable to her.

4. Will you romance him? If so why?
She would LoL if he'd fallen for her, an amusing idea that the ex-Templar would fall in love with a Dalish Mage of all people. She'd probably enjoy it since it has the potential to mess up his mind a little. Yet when her heart began to sing his name, she knew she's in serious trouble. Don't know how this will end, tbh.

She knows her words well and perhaps one of the first person my Lavellan will warm up to. Any diplomat worth their salt should be able to break the ice nicely and Jojo is one of the best.

1.  People know my opinion, i hate him....  however the role he is in is necessary and it always helps when everybody gets along.  *grumbles*

2.  His templar past has given him some interesting views, one hand mages cant be trusted (origins) and the other that mages shouldnt be pushed too far (da2).... however, he still has the issue with the mages.  I would try to convince him otherwise, at least to a neutral stance, but thats probably not gonna happen.  So yeah, wary of his templar past, hes gonna have to prove to me he can be unbiased in his actions towards the mages.

3.  I dont like to rival characters, its my philosophy that everything is better when we all get along.

4.  No romance, i can barely tolerate him as is.... but hes useful.

1.  I liked what i saw in the last gameplay trailer, she joked a little bit and felt like a really laid back character.  The way she said a few lines in the video had me thinking of her like zevran, real laid back.  I like her.

2.  Diplomacy is very important, i would rather spend my troops fighting demons in the realm than fighting humans, the less burden on my troops the better.

3.  No rival, she seemed to laid back to really get too mad.

1.  Love leliana, they have taken her character development even further into the "hardened" path my warden set her on.  Wish my warden would come back to brighten up her day though.

3.  Im gonna go friend, but im very curious to see what sort of character she turns into if rivaled.

1.  I like him, from all descriptions ive seen, i like him.  Hopefully he wont whine about his calling too much to warrant the anders label.

2.  He will protect the masses i think, in his bio it said he joined the wardens for glory.  Which means he wants someone to recognize his deeds, why would he lock himself up like the other wardens and instead be fighting it out and getting recognition for it.

1.  I dont really know how much he hates tevinter, and what about it he hates, but if he just goes and says he hates it all, i will be disappointed.  I like the concept of a magister who doesnt truly agree with everything tevinter does, but as someone who was raised in tevinter, there has to be some things he liked.  Otherwise hes just a hero of justice character which is lame, i want him to defend a few things tevinter does, it will add to his character.

2.  Reform tevinter isnt easy, but yes i think, like the chantry, tevinter must be reformed to survive.

1. What's your general opinion of him?

Kaaras respect him because he's a Grey Warden, and Kaaras admire them. Kaaras going to have mentor-apprentice relationship with Blackwall, and he'll rely his advice on life experience, combat combat techniques.

 

2. Do you think he's overly concerned with protecting the masses?

No, Kaaras may be decisive but he believe in fighting for the greater good even though he may not always see eye to eye with Blackwall. He respect Blackwall's stance to protect the masses.

Cassandra 
1. What's your general opinion of her?

Seeker, Chantry's lapdog and she has a rough introduction with Kaaras. Kaaras is not too fond of Cassandra, but he respect her's skill and will rely on her as second in command. However both will constantly debate on religious subject.

 

2. Do you think she needs to lighten up?

Everyone need that, but given the circumstances my Inquisitor are not going to tease her often since he's a serious person himself, but both will find a chance to relax at Skyhold after complete the mission.

A Worthy Rival.

 

4. Will you romance her? If so why?

Kaaras is not into her.
 
Cole 
1. What's your general opinion of him?

Uneasy since Kaaras is barely understand about Cole, and as a mage he knew that most spirit are dangerous but there's also a good kind of spirit. He doesn't know what to make of Cole yet so he'll be wary when dealing with Cole.

 

2. Do you think that his nature makes him too dangerous?

Very likely.

Dorian 
​1. What's your general opinion of him?

Kaaras admire his determination and his skills, and Dorian also seems like an intelligent and friendly person, but he will be wary with Dorian because of his relationship with his former mentor Alexius. While both are likely to become friends at some point Kaaras didn't trust Dorian fully on the first time they met.

 

2. Will you support his goal to reform Tevinter?

Kaaras admire and respect his goal although he doubt he'll much of a help to reform the entire empire into something else.

Iron Bull 
1. What's your general opinion of him?

Kaaras is aware that Iron Bull is one of those Ben-Hassrath so he doesn't trust Iron Bull, even paranoid of him since Kaaras is Tal-Vashoth. He admire Iron Bull's fighting skills however, but will never let Iron Bull stand behind him.

 

2. Do you think you can trust him with the Inquisition's secrets?

It's depend on the situation and how trustworthy Iron Bull is.

She seems like a fun, laid-back person but Kaaras believe that she's quite short sighted, and not a long term planner.

Only time will tell.

Kaaras is straight, and she is not really into him anyway.

1. What's your general opinion of him?

Kaaras respect him and admire his knowledge about the Fade, and he need Solas's teaching and guidance to control that special power. He's going to have mentor-apprentice relationship with Solas.

 

2. Does he spend to much time in the Fade in your opinion? 

If he doesn't spend that much of time in the Fade he wouldn't be expert about it at all.

Varric 
1. What's your general opinion of him?

He seems like a nice and funny person, generous and loyal and he's down to earth. Kaaras will like to have this trusty dwarf in his company, but he hope that Varric is reasonable enough to not blame him about what happen in Kirkwall.

 

2. Do you find his fondness for Bianca, is sweet or creepy?

Kaaras is not his mother so he's not going to nag Varric about it although he found it sweet and creepy at the same time.

Vivienne 
1. What's your general opinion of her?

Kaaras and Viviene see eye to eye when it comes to method and how to get things done properly, but he's doesn't like her at one bit. Kaaras hate Viviene's for being arrogant, stuck up, full of herself and also self-serving.

 

2. Do you support her Pro-Circle stance?

Depends. Kaaras may be apostate his entire life but he understand the Circle need reform, and the Mages need better education and more freedom, less restriction.
