It doesn't really matter whether you have 10 gigabit capable local equipment. Even if you do, your bandwidth and connection is still highly dependent on your ISP. Unless they're providing 10 gigabit to the door, and I think only Google Fiber is capable of that.

So, OP, tick one:

[  ] problem solved;

[  ] problem persists.

Messed about my ports and it's gotten better now. Thanks for the help.

Anyone ever had this happen? I lost my connection but until I clicked the OK button, I could still see people moving around and hear what was going on in the game.

^Yep, that means you lost connection to the "Mass Effect 3 server" rather than the host.

Proof that EA servers are inferior to average home computers.

This just happened to me.  Joined in progress on Wave 3.  Wave 4, everything starts walking in place, but I can hear everything that is supposed to be going on.  After a minute of this, I have lost connection to EA (but not to the host apparently)

^My story is a little different, too often I joined a game by some very good host (<50 ms latency), the game was silk fluent, the Reapers couldn't stand a chance against me, and I sometimes even thought it was me hosting, then suddenly "You have lost connection to the Mass Effect TM 3 server" showed up on my screen.

No wonder that the Reapers can advance so easily across the Galaxy <_< .

I never have connection issues unless I'm playing gold, wave 9, level IV gear equipped, and all is going quite well.  Then--SNIP!  Happened twice today.  In a row!  Working as intended?   If this keeps up, I'm going to need to find a therapist or something.
