So, any news on Mantle front? How it shuld work compared to DirectX and openGL? Some screenshot or video comprarison between the 3 versions on a pc? Mantle allow to use a specific set of graphics option, maby? Im pretty curious about this tecnology and its support in this game.

Mantle is just direct acess to GPU.

 

There will be Mantle support, but obviously they haven't released any news about it. The game isn't finalised yet

Yeah, ok. This is all we hear about. I was wandering if someone of the dev team could tell us something more specific. Mantle is an Api, like dx 11. We know the features implemented in the dx 11, tassellation and so on, but nothing about Mantle... Oh well, i guess all we have to do is whait and see.

As far as I'm aware, it's feature equivalent to the DX renderer (there are no exclusive techniques or effects).

It simply allows for greater performance in situations that are CPU limited (since the overhead of DX incurs a CPU cost). If you're not CPU limited, you probably won't see much benefit (though I don't know of an instance where it would ever be slower).
