Besides, I gotta admit that I found the story lil bit too simple in this one. They pretty much tell you from the start that your enemies are Collectors and they work for reapers, after that its just gathering your new allies with few encounters with the enemy but nothing major story wise and then off you go to the final battle.
If you disagree with me, fine, you are allowed to do so, this is just my opinion and not some universal truth.

WHY? Why you remove the my lovely part of game - planet explorations with MAKO?!I love games like Star Control 2 and StarFlight. I think its better part of Mass Effect 1. I cry with crocodile tears. YOU KILL ALL GAMEPLAY! Right now ME2 looks like game for casual idiots who like play in games on i-phones.
AND! Where the RPG elements? 4 levers per Perk? Its a joke? OR you make ME2 for mobile phones? I see the verry, verry bad rpg from BIOWARE!
I see the verry verry bad post from this idiot

If you really want your ~inventory~ and ~millions of weapons~, maybe you should play, I dunno, Diablo II? If that's too old, there's Torchlight. Sacred 2 is good too. Of course they won't have awfully lot invested in the story part, or interesting characters, or any plot decisions between 'accept quest'/'refuse quest' but, they obviously are RPGs because they have inventories.

Pretty much, the character development is only skin-deep. The noobs on this board don't seem to think so .... I fear for ME3.

Yes because everyone knows that inventory tetris is what makes a role playing game a role playing game, not a compelling story, interesting characters, plot-related decisions or even role playing.

Giving a couple of options in dialogues that don't really have much of a difference in the end do not qualify as RPG content on their own. I know at least one bad horror movie that lets you decide how the characters die, does that make it an RPG? It clearly has to be a Game rather than Movie as you are given choices!
Diablo II & expansion pack. Yes, thank you, I spent a grand total of maybe 2 years playing the game. It's an action RPG which means the focus is on action. The game however clearly has character and equipment development so the game definitely has the right to carry a title of 'action RPG' even though it is not a true RPG.
Sacred 2 is a definite maybe if I can find it cheap enough. It's not good enough to pay the full price.
Diablo III might be good but there's a common fear around that it will be aimed for WoW fans instead of fans of earlier Diablo games.
Even though I shovel quite a few games out of the door every year I still have about 150 original copies of games at the moment. The oldest game in my possession is probably Elite for C64 which I have both on disc and cassette. There has been only one game that was a greater disappointment than ME2 for me and that was Master of Orion 3. Then again with MOO3 I toyed around at least around 200-300 hours (which is absolutely nothing compared with MOO2. You can easily add at least one zero). It will be a total wonder if I can squeeze over 100 hours from ME2 in total with the current amount of content available. Naturally it's not just how much but also the quality of the experience... but there's really nothing that really sticks into mind in ME2. Well, other than thermal clips and cover.
Edit: Btw, Diablo II actually has way stronger story than ME2.

You and me both. We just have to continue to press our concerns with Bioware in hopes that they won't abandon their rpg base for ME3.

In saying all that, there were moments (like on Tuchanka) where I wished I could control that vehicle.
In reality ME2 is really and Action RPG and is far better than ME1 in many ways.
