The whole Mass Effect 3 thing was good.

I loved how in the wake of Dragon Age 2 and Mass Effect 3, they locked the main forums to Owner-Only status because of the heat they got from plebian scum who didn't buy or register their games.

BSN will never be as fun, interesting and full of lulz and trolls as it was during the ME3 ending fiasco days. This forum was one of the, if not, the most interesting gaming site for a very, very long time when it was in full swing. The sheer number of rustled jimmies was astonishing.

It was kind of interesting to log in and see half a page full of locked threads. I think most people who were around then got banned at least once.

Yep. I've been banned probably, eh.... 12 times or so. Longest was for a month. Good times. The  "u mad bro" threads were hilarious and the baiting was at an all time high.

Oh no, quite a few were safe. You just had to be straightforward with how you talking to people. No insults. It was mainly insults that got people in trouble COUGHPlaintiffCOUGH.

Edit:

Edit: looks like two of you were in that thread!

Spamming and the like got you banned too. Not permanently. You're right. It generally was insults that get you perm'd.

Heh, yeah. Even then though we got away with a lot. I liked to call us the "BSN Rogues," a few of the guys, most of us MLP fans, but we'd counter-troll the troll threads into oblivion by posting ponies or just spinning it off into random crap and they didn't mind too much. Course, that was mostly before we got the botmods so ona weekend we pretty much had the place to ourselves for hours or even days.

:)

I do remember counter trolling or dogpilling in genuinely awful threads though, that was fun.

The thing about ME 3 ending was that there was a lot of heated threads, so unless you said anything that stood out and went over the line, there was a really small chance you'd get banned. You could spend months skirting the line and having a fun time trolling the threads.

You DO know about the feature on the right side of each profile page right?

The problem is you have to go into the Profile page to see it. Assuming I have to look up everyone I don't recognize to see if they have had any name changes AND aSsuming I commit those correlations to memory are bad assumptions.

I miss silverexile17s vs remydat. Those two were really dedicated.

And wow, I had no idea that Qistina got banned. What the heck did she do?

and abandon the forums for about a year.

I remember One True Shot and his predictions... Daamn, we got so hyped for more.

Edit: Oh, also remembered those threads that had ***** or %%%% or even ##### in it's titles, covering all the BSN Page.

Also, the NewsFeed, the like system Back then, and how it all ended: "End of the Line"

Edit 2: Oh, I also got banned too. 24hr Ban, because I posted many Pics and "What the hell is wrong with BSN today" in those multiple Spam Threads... Oh, Innocent me

Pretty sure she was raging about Bioware being anti-Islam or something.

I remember 'ole Gatt9, always predicting the eminent crash of the gaming industry.

When someone said 'David' I was thinking of Dave of Canada who I haven't seen since Moses died.

But then I knew which David you were on about

Oh

And I miss when DA:O was around and everybody actually loved BioWare

That was nice.

Wait, wait... Remember me who David was? The one that complained about everything :P Oh, Good lord...

Or not? I don't remember any other David out there...

Also, can you folks believe I got here just to purchase a DLC for ME2? Lol, how the hell...

I got here to post here and there.

Never did much.

Then DA2 came and ME3 a long with it.

Argued argued and argued.

Wasted time.

Should've just watched copious amounts of porn like a real 16 year old would.

I though Dave of Canada renamed himself to something else?

Pretty sure there was a poster that everyone, even Alan, said was him in multiple threads about 6 months ago.

It really is interesting how quickly Bioware turned from a gamer darling to the piñata of the RPG genre.

Hopefully DA:I will honestly be a return to some goodwill.
