Ah, the Parody Thread. That was my (and Dom's and other's) pride and joy for a time. But it got to the point where I was putting out sub-par stuff by the end of it, which made me realize it was time to let go. I tried to go out with a bang doing the whole Book of Mormon/Inquisition thing, but personal stuff with life and work made it impossible.


I do miss CrustyBot's Let's Play segments. Last I remember, the new forum format made it ridiculous to post long text and multiple pics, so he gave up (I could be wrong, of course).

I'd considered a couple songs, but didn't know if enough people still wanted em'. One would be for DA:I and I'll have to wait until the game's out to screenshot like a madman. Trying to take google images for them didn't quite cut it in quality. Could probably do a V:tmB one, though.

It's hard to tell what exactly set it off. The last one I tried to made wouldn't have existed without people flat-out asking to try again.

PS:D was a neat parody romp, though I wish Resist could've been finished. A High School/Collegiate RPG with less Supernatural elements compared to Persona and less satirical compared to Bully would've been a dream job.

Crusty made a walkthrough for The Last Remnant? I thought that game was forgotten completely. I haven't finished it, but I think it's got a really interesting (in the abstract) combat system.


I still feel that that was a stupid decision to include them. But I never cared too too much.

Absolutely magnificent. His threads were everywhere, he posted so many threads in so many forums that his threads would partially cover the recently updated page like vines on a brick wall. His threads were filled with quotes from South Park's global warming episode, pictures of dogs in giraffe costumes, photoshopped dogs with long necks, and giraffes trying to mate with donkeys. Best of all, the mods couldn't stop him because he just never seemed to run out of alts.

He is the single reason we have moderation queues on new accounts and the 24 hour rule on the old forums.
 
He would get perm banned half a dozen times a day and still manage to spam entire pages worth of threads.

I still remember a thread where Plaintiff and Recon were arguing, and one of the mods (Stan or Allan) was like "if you want to keep arguing, friend each other and continue in PMs". I wonder how he managed to keep a straight face while typing that.
