In a hypothetical situation where your Inqui doesn't romance anyone (ForeverAlone.jpg), who do you think will hookup out of your advisers and companions. you can base your OTP's on sexual preference, personality or however you want (your personal wishlist?).

 

So bring'em on peeps.

 

Mine: (i went realistic on this one)

 

Josie/Cullen (just cause they'll make the cutest babies together); Josie/Vivienne (the power couple lol, think they'll have a cool dynamic in the game)

 

Cassandra/Blackwall (just think their personalities are very compatible); Cass/Cullen (both are sexually awkward?)

 

Sera/Briala (if we see her in the game); Sera/Leliana (they could bond over archery tips and tricks and discover mutual attraction - my Warden would approve) 

 

Iron Bull/Dorian (OTP OTP OTP) 

 

Varric/Bianca (the person not the crossbow lol, i really think we'll see her in the game - original or dlc)

 

Cole/Solas (BBF for life, Fade Bros represent - i know it's not technically a hookup. a bro-up maybe?)

 

Blackwall/Scout Harding (would be just precious, most precious-sest)

 

Vivienne/Gaspard (vying for the throne much Viv?)

Delicious.

I loved Carver/Merrill, Bethany/Sebastian, and Isabela/Everyone in DA2, so I'm thrilled they're going this route again. It's nice to see the world doesn't revolve around the protagonist. If you don't return a companion or advisor's feelings, they'll find someone who does.

I looove the thought of Josie/Viv and Blackwall/Harding. If Josie/Cullen does turn out to be a thing, that'll be cute.

I loved Carver/Merrill the most, and I'm sad it didn't progress further. Merrill gave hints of knowing more than she let on, but for the most part she seemed oblivious to poor Carver.

 

Carver/Merrill might even been DA2's OTP for me overall. Then again, in my canon playthrough Hawke is a warrior romancing Merrill, so that's out of the question.

I really really hope that there are finally some s/s pairings in this way.  It would be amazing for IB or Josephine to not end up with an opposite sex partner if they are involved in a non-PC relationship.  I could definitely get behind Sera/Josephine or IB/Dorian.

I hate Merrill/Carver with a fury surpassed by little except the actual rivalmance; the surpassing comes from the fact that I don't actually want to nail Carver to a tree for it.

 

 

I really really hope that there are finally some s/s pairings in this way.  It would be amazing for IB or Josephine to not end up with an opposite sex partner if they are involved in a non-PC relationship.  I could definitely get behind Sera/Josephine or IB/Dorian.

Also, this. But not Sera/Josephine, because that means that the only way to see a background lesbian relationship is to not be lesbian yourself.

Carver is obviously won over by Merrill's whole cute elf thing . I found it  adorable, and since I have no interest in Merrill at all I always shipped it. She was the only LI in DA2 I never romanced once.

Why?

Same reason anyone likes anything, I suppose. I can see why others wouldn't like it, but the pairing just sits well with me. Of course, it's something I think works better post-Kirkwall, after they've both had some character development.

Josie/Cullen (both beautiful people, and common notions dictate beautiful people = beautiful babies)

 

Leliana/Sera (only if Leliana was not romanced and Sera is not pursued. I see Leliana as preferring women over men and I think someone like Sera would be natural for her)

 

Vivienne/Cullen (Vivienne is pro-Circle for a reason to keep a Templar like that around)

 

Varric/Scout Harding (the reason you can't romance either one of them)

 

Blackwall/Cassandra (seems like a natural fit. Both are older, seasoned warriors)

Cullen and Cassandra (they are both devout Andrastians and Templars [edit: sort of]... sounds good)

 

Iron Bull and Josephine (they both seem to have a lot of energy, so why not)

She has Templar abilities, and her job is to police the Templars, so it's pretty much the same IMO.  Although you are correct, she was never technically a part of the Order.

No, it's really not. Seekers and Templars, while both a part of the Inquisition, are still fundamentally different. Saying they're the same is like saying that a policeman is basically the same as an officer working internal affairs.

But hey, if you want to see it that way, that's okay. I just really disagree with that assessment - then again... one of my best friends is a police officer and he'd rip me a new one if I didn't. *g

Listen, I'm not at all interested in debating who is and isn't a Templar based on half a sentence in a thread about hypothetical companion and advisor romances... it's just some phrasing I went with, nothing more.  If it matters that much to you, too bad.  I'm not changing it.

Aww, I disagree with that! Leliana got to flirt with Morrigan and Zevran with Alistair in DAO, and Isabela flirted with Merrill and Bethany and arguably Aveline in DA2... I'm sure there will be s/s content outside the PC's relationship.
