Because she's a strong independent woman that don't need no man.

Unless that man is named Varric. In which case they will bathe together in your tears.

Because they're either going to kill her(You evil devs, you..... ) or they're saving her romance for Dragon Age: Next(You wonderful, perfect devs, you :kissing: ) where they will kill her(you...HEARTLESS, MONSTROUS devs, you :crying: ).

Oh....the fan tears......Start saving them up now, folks. You know that devs live for them. The more fan tears, the quicker we'll get a Harding romance where she dies to save the next protagonist from Morrigan so we can slay the evil Darkspawned!Alistair.

Because romance is beneath her.

i guess since she now has her "why can't i romance X" thread, someone needs to create a "why can't i kill Harding" thread...

Well, we don't KNOW we can't kill her. Yet.

To be fair however, we also don't know if Harding is the non-party flirt option one of the devs referred to a long time ago. Still, she's not gonna be a full romance, even if flirts can happen.

Hey, there is apparently a character who the inquisitors are supposed to be able to flirt with, or something, even if it's not a proper romance. Maybe that's Harding.

And there's always the possibility that she becomes the 'carryover' character between DAI and DA4, reappearing in the next game as a full party member and possible romance.

Something like a ME2 Kelly relationship would be cool.

I'd like a DLC like mark of the assassin. Harding would make a great temporary companion. That would be nice.

It violates Bioware's  evident policy regarding making awesome dwarven rogues (Sigrun, Varric, Harding) listening to the outcry for romance options, and laughing, before adding in another blonde human.

We have a blonde human option?

Cullen. He's gone from noodle haired to lustrous blonde.

So as some of you will know Harding is our head scout and a cute merciless Dwarven woman.  So why not let us peruse a romance with her?  Especially if out Inquisitor is a Dwarf!

Because she's a dwarf, and romancing dwarves is "icky" according to Gaider.

Because she's a minor NPC. It's like asking to romance Thrask.

Agreed.

Cullen just has a very vocal fanbase, and the devs I guess took notice and gave him a bigger role in DA2. And now an even larger role in DA:I. Guess dwarf fans need to get more vocal, or a dwarf romance will never happen.

He started off as one in Origins and DA2. His role just expanded as each game was released. So why can't a dwarf like Harding or Dagna get the same treatment was all I was saying?

Or somebody thought "hey why not use Cullen if we need a military advisor."And then the writer decided she could pull off a romance given the extra time. Harding may not be in the game enough to justify a romance.

There are already eight romances and only because of a delay. Shall we cut Josephine's romance in favor of Harding's? Sera? Cassandra? You'd get just as much complaining about them not being romances. Likely more.

So then the Hardingmancers should keep on asking and hope that she's "upgraded" in DA4!

So we just need to max out like 5 threads, and spam ROMANCE HARDING FOR DA4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As much as we can?

Lets hope she doesn't die terribly saving your life or anything in DA3, eh?

So, what, the would-be Varricmancers simply weren't vocal ENOUGH?

Calling it now, Harding will have an epilogue slide where she goes crazy and kills mages.

8 romances true enough, the largest in any Bioware game ever. The question is, why were dwarfs the only race to be ignored? And yes Josephine or Cass could have been cut, or even Blackwall. Not like human romances have been underrepresented in the series.

Morrigan

Leliana

Alistair

Anders

Isabela

Sebastian (weak romance but still a option)

Cassandra

Blackwall

Cullen

Josephine

10 human options in 3 games is pretty good, and more than every other race combined. With 5 elves, 1 qunari (even though I don't recall anyone asking for a male qunari romance option, most wanted a female)
and zero dwarf options. Dwarf fans just want to know why we are getting shafted, because it's getting kind of glaring now.

Yeah they could have replaced one of the human options in DA:I to add Harding. I think human players really don't have much to complain about, because they have had a nice list of options in 3 games.

I was honestly surprised he wasn't added as a female dwarf race gated romance, at the very least. Because Varric did have a vocal fanbase, yet he was still left out. Gaider just doesn't care about dwarf people!

Joking people, don't get too mad bout it.

Dwarves (as distinct from those with dwarfism) are not real. Bioware is not obliged to give any representation to them. There are also no Orlesian LIs, nor can we play as one. BW should be called out when they offend RL minorities, but they have no obligation to make or not make a character a LI.
