It violates Bioware's  evident policy regarding making awesome dwarven rogues (Sigrun, Varric, Harding) listening to the outcry for romance options, and laughing, before adding in another dark-haired human female ice queen.

Fixed :)

Its already been stated that Cullen was NOT written because of fan service.  You can get that out of your head.  No matter what you think the characters are written how the writers see them.  The writers and game developers do NOT owe us anything.

They did NOT do this to deprive you.  Its not some conspiracy.   The time will come and they will add a dwarf companion romance.

Bullying the game developers will not get what you want.

We should consider ourselves lucky our dwarve inquisitors will be able to have romances.

I romanced Cullen once before.

Got to love mods.  Note to devs, you don't have to give us a dwarf to romance, you just have to give us the modding tools and we can take care of that ourselves.

This is 100 percent true.

Fans: We want Varric romance after DA2!

Bioware: Lol enjoy your Cassandra romance.

Personally think that our PC's, PS4's, Xbox One's wouldn't be able to handle the awesomeness that is Harding and they'd burn up.

No, both! I want a canon, fully voiced acted LI and mod tools. /greedy

For some reason I can never get into mods like that because they aren't canon and even the best ones just don't feel right to me. I'm not saying mods are bad and admire all the hard work the modding community does for people, they just aren't really my thing. I'm glad other people can get enjoyment from them though.

Yeah I don't care as much for story mods. I love mods where you can change other things, but as soon as you require something that the game can't provide to modders(the voice actors, for example) and it has to be cobbled together, I'm less interested. This was different when games weren't so reliant on cinematically and voice acting, but now...eh.

I do like the Cullen mod tho, but because it's so simple it manages to be effective. Don't think you could sustain a long added modded romance because of the constraints.

I had to google who this ''Harding'' character is supposed to be.

Voiced by Ali Hillis? Ugh, great. So the last three games with her awful, monotone voice ''acting'' weren't enough?

Wait what? Who did she voice?

Edit: You think Liara had bad VO?

Liara's voice actress?  Son of a gun, now I really want to romance her... <_<

Maybe in DA4...

Looks like we'll be able to talk with Harding in Skyhold between missions. Fingers crossed for flirt options!

Its because dwarves sprout from rocks. They have no need for romance.

I'm going to Necro this just because Harding deserves it.

So as some of you will know Harding is our head scout and a cute merciless Dwarven woman.  So why not let us peruse a romance with her?  Especially if out Inquisitor is a Dwarf!

She's so pretty, I think. And I saw the fem dwarf in the CC demo and she was beautiful too. I've never been interested in playing a f!dwarf before this game.

I am truly sorry to all those who wish to romance Harding. I can definitely see why.

I think it is stupid the whole idea of Dwarf romances being avoided because they look like young girls and short hairy things the fact is it seems this is the Bioware train of thought process regarding Dwarfs.

Dwarf/Dwarf=Not an option

Dwarf/Human=Acceptable

Dwarf/Elf=Also Acceptable

Dwarf/Qunari=Acceptable "Seriously Bioware this one is just stupid an Ox Man option but no Dwarf nice really nice."

I know I sound bitter but 3 games and nothing the Dwarfs deserve better period and I love Harding to death my Dwarf Inquisitors will all shamelessly flirt with her and Dagna then go to a Brothel with Female Dwarf options "hopefully" and the LIs can sod off.

Seriously, you can go to a brothel and pay to sleep with a dwarf but you can't have an actual romance with one? Sheesh.

This thread is painfully tense.

Can we stop and consider before we pick the most inflammatory phrasing possible out of frustration?

We can't have everything we want, and the devs don't owe us that.

I'd like to romance Briala, but she's in love with someone else, and also busy. I'd like to romance Fellissan, which is also not going to happen.

I wanted to carry Dagna around with me at camp and keep her forever when I met her. I want to romance Varric BADLY. Not going to happen.

We can't have everything, but they give us a lot. Let's try to remember it.

This whole thread has been more or less very tongue in cheek.  Or at least I hope it has come across as such.  And what is a message board for other that talking about stuff we like, want, and hate?

I hope we can atleast flirt with her.

Honestly, I think this is even more valuable than the romance itself. Doesn't matter if it goes nowhere. I want my PC to flirt with everyone just because.

Because Bioware has a human female fetish so that's why we cannot romance Harding.

Maybe I overreacted/read to much into it/spoke far after the fact, but it seemed really combative. I apologize if I was presumptuous.

I just believe the bickering gets intense, and we should try to avoid that.
