I don't know. The few Q that we've seen in game just haven't been all that friendly or initially likable. Plus they are kind of new to the fantasy scene. Elves and Dwarves I've known about forever and have set expectations of them in games. Q are still just too much of a mystery to me so it would be difficult for me to get into a role-play for one.
Anyone else really excited to play as a Qunari?

I am excited. Can't stand the Qun, but love the way look of the Qunari race. I think I will love playing a Qunari with a fevered hatred of the Qun.

But yeah, I'm incredibly pumped to play a Qunari. I'll be doing a human first, however I've already prepared for my female qunari warrior.

I sure am. I'm going to spend an hour or two in the CC trying to make my Qunari's face look like the ones from DA2.

A Qunari Mage as the Herald of Andraste? Sign me up for that drama. Also, as a huge Qunari, I can smother my LI with love.

Yea I have to admit as soon as I get my fill of playing as a Dalish Mage a Qunari mage will be what I play next.

No males at all.

I don't know. So far, the aesthetics of the qunari don't excite me, but I might get into the game and the CC and find out that I've been wrong. And it might be that I decide I want to try something alien at some point, too.

I surely will create a Qunari character and if I like it continue playing with it!

There's a thread begging Bioware to give us more hairstyles for the Qunari in the Feedback section of the forum:

Feel free to add your two cents!

I'm excited since it's something new to play as but sadly Qunari will have to wait until my 4th playthrough.

Yeah as long as I can renounce everything Qun I'll be okay.

No matter how cool their lore i can never get into playing a dwarf in any game, i just don't like their appearance. As for elves in dragon age, i find them to be absolutely pathetic, weak and expendable. The only way i'd play an elf in Inquisition is if we have the option to support a radical elf movement that forcefully takes the Dales back and sets up a military-style dictator ship to always defend elves against human aggression. Otherwise i find them laughably useless and a complete waste of time to play such a spineless species.
This leaves me always playing human master race so i am excited to see how Qunari will play out as inquisitors. It will be my second character.

Most excited! I felt like running around the house and chasing my cat when it was announced Quanri was playable. Whether or not I will choose Qunari first time around is unknown.

Won't be my first playthrough, but it'll happen, and I'm glad it's an option.

I'll be honest: I am with the minority that doesn't even get excited about elves and dwarves, andsurly not qunari. Mostly because I only see it as some kind of cosmetic choice, because is it realyl that much different to play an elf? A dwarf? A grey horned giant?
I would really see DAI prove me wrong, and that the strangeness of a non-human main-char leading such a powerful chantry-based instituation gets adressed all across the game (and not just, as I expect, in a few throwaway-lines at the beginning (like in DAO: "So they take females as wardens, didn't know that!" "Yes they do" "okay")
Now before you get mad at me for being all negative and off-topic: Yes, I also changed my mind a bit about Qunari-Inquisitors. Simply because I played DA2 recently again. And I absolutely despise the Qun, the Arishok, their whole system of belief and society, the way they treat everyone as simple assets, and the despicable way they are treating their mages, like beasts...I really prefer good old feudal exploitation...
So yes, I will love to play a female (!) non-Qun (!) unbound mage (!) that hopefully can even fully change that Iron Bull char away from the Qun, and generally behave in every way possible different from what the Qun would expect from a true "Qunari" ![]()

I was, untill the hair thing.
It's a bit disappointing, but I think skin shaved headed Qunari look even more badass than ones with hair.

I was excited when I imagined that female Qunari would look like this:
Not so excited when I saw how they really look in the CC. I can appreciate that they're trying to do something different with them, rather than just making them taller humans with horns, but it's enough to make me put off playing one in favor of making a dwarf first. Still excited to play one eventually for story reasons.

Yep. Definitely female Qunari in first playthrough. Though, not sure which class it will be, maybe rogue or mage. Will play both anyway ![]()
