I will also plan my Qunari to be un-qun. In fact, I decided to play as a pro-chantry Templar qunari just to see if that will weird npc's out.
Anyone else really excited to play as a Qunari?

Definitely. Female Qunari Rogue for my first playthrough, although I won't be getting the game at release, so I am tempering my excitement somewhat. My first playthrough has been set in stone since they announced Qunari as a playable race.

Not really. My first play will be an elf mage. Never been very interested in the Qunari (not a fan of Sten), and the CC doesn't look like it's being very 'kind' to making an attractive one. Will have to see if it's even possible to make one that doesn't make me want to gouge out my eyes with a spoon. I don't think I can stand staring 100+ hours at some ugly Tal Vashoth Inquisitor.

Not really.
While i like the option, and will do 1 playthrough as Qunari......i tend to use humans mostly in my RPGs ![]()

Excited is but one of many adjectives that would scratch the surface!
Nothing says awesome like diversity!
Though I will not be doing so on my first foray upon returning to Thedas, I am fully excited as the prospect of what playing this particular cultural type will bring. Not only from the interaction point, but so much more for the story aspects. Given how the Qunari have been established up to this upon within the lush world of Thedas, it can only add to the enjoyment of seeing that perspective yet again from a new cultural stand point.
So, I am looking foreword to just how epic and bad ass that perspective will be! Especially if there are going to be a lot of those little, sweet "crumbly cakes" that are just not available up North; clearly a travesty that must be remedied! ![]()

Depends. If the male hair options aren't up to snuff, I will not be playing as a qunari rogue as I initially planned. So, at this rate, there's an 89.9% I'll be falling back on my Elf mage for my first run through, and then human rogue for the second. And then switch back and forth as necessary.
I honestly doubt the male hairs will be any better. Which is a shame. Because I was SO excited to play as a qunari for the longest ****ing time.

I was, but the fact they can't wear helms (or hats) at all is a little irritating. No, I'm not one of those people that turns helmets off.
If you look at a qunari with horns, how would that be possible?

The hair options is the only thing that "can" discourage me.

I didn't think I'd be interested in playing a Qunari at first, then I saw that hunk of a guy:
So yeah, I might give them a chance after all
he is hunky isn't he, I wonder what he'd look like with blonde hair and no scruff ![]()

Yea the hair options for the Qunari are rather drab aren't they? I was hoping for some shaggy or garret-hawke esque hair, oh well maybe in DA4.

Goddamn right.
Female Qunari Warrior is my first playthrough. Don't care about the hair options.

"Really excited" does not even cover a quarter of it.
I will probably vibrate out of my skin once I select that female Qunari tarot card. She will be my first and canon playthrough and the anticipation is slowly killing me.

As much as a hate such things being put into DLC's, i understand that they had trouble putting in more options, so i say why not....as long as its free or included with larger more relevant content

I think the option is awesome. Really amazed they decided to bring all races back and add Qunari. It's not my first choice for my character on the initial play through, but at some point I know I'll attempt to use it. Very happy for those who have been wanting this.

I'm very interested in seeing how reactive they've managed to make the world to a qunari being the one to save the world. Won't be my first, I always play as a human first to establish a baseline experience, but it'll likely be my second one as I expect it'd be the biggest contrast to human.
Basically this is how I'm approaching it, too. Playing as human first to establish a "normal" world reaction baseline, then I'm going Elf, Dwarf and finally Qunari last, since I figure Qunari will be the most reflexively outcast of the possibilities.

I look forward to being a female Qunari mage and, in doing so, trumping Isabela as the biggest middle finger to the Qun.

I wonder if theres a no horn option, then I'll probably play one, I like making big characters just not a fan of the horns, though I'm sure most people are ![]()

Hopefully Bioware will have had time to add more hair options in line with all of their art. ![]()

There are. Cut off or otherwise.
