Biggots? Femminists? Woot O.o
Im confused because I didnt consider gender into this equation at all. I've always treated and thought of men and women the samePeople are people, personality defines a person not gender imo. I pretty much took it as obvious / given that IF there is nudity it includes both genders. It is the reasonable and logical choice.
Totally agreed. There does seem to be a trend in this thread where people are praising the Witcher as having "done it right", though. Some of these people are using the "nudity makes it mature" argument and then reverting to a "but no boy parts" stance that is most definitely not mature.

Spartacus did it right. ![]()
Sooo... not wanting nudity makes you a bigot? I suggest you look up the word bigot.
My favorite was "Isabela's Disarmament". I imagined afterward she and my rogue were picking up daggers from all over the room.
Does that mean Varric has butt hair?
Spartacus did it right.
That was the only thing that it did right and it did that quite badly. (seriously every scene had someone having sex in there)
The most disturbing thing here is that someone just exposed pro-GamerGate bile and people agreed with him.
I agree to the point where games should be fun and not nit-picked to death. I agree that devs should do what they want to do if they want to listen to the fanbase then they should if they don't then they do not need to, there's a reason that we have creative expression.
But if people want to nit-pick stuff do death then they are free to do so. People who insult or make death threats because of someone nitpicking are scum. I just yawn and go play a game.
You also kinda just doomed this thread by mentioning the 'movement'.
I apologize for this has been mentioned already, but this is what the DA team told Forbes:
http://www.forbes.co...on-mass-effect/
“Something that didn’t work well is that we tried more, well I won’t say graphic, but in Dragon Age: Origins we had characters crawling around in their underwear and it looked weird because they were wearing these lacy Victoria Secret panties and outfits which looked out of place,” Perry told the publication. “Certainly when you have these characters interacting with each other in such an intimate way it’s incredibly expensive in terms of animation fidelity and getting it to look like they are really there and touching each other. I think Mass Effect’s scenes were done really well and I think we will take Inquisition’s scenes in that direction. You might have a nude character but they are framed in such a way that parts of them are in shadow, or having characters in various states of undress.”
Haven't read all the posts in the thread. Just wanted to add. As long as it doesn't turn into The Witcher then I'm not really bothered either way. Nude is okay but so is underwear. I'll go with what ever the game decides.
Grabbing popcorn and taking a seat to enjoy the show? Or joining the rest of us on the stage?
I would say that this is the reaper form from an asari, known as banshee, and yes in the games these are showing everything, hot or not?
Oh, okay. I thought it looked familiar, but the angle and the highlighting kind of threw me off.
granny panties....lol
Granny panties were terrible but nothing beats Morrigan putting the bra on just for the romance scene lol
Spartacus did it right.
Agreed. Well, to an extent. I especially loved the scenes between Spartacus and his wife, the masked scene with Ilithyia, and some of Gannicus' romance scenes. The plainer humping in the brothels got old quickly and don't add much after a while. Batiatus' scenes also isn't really something to fantasize about.
But the more romantic scenes were great and something Bioware could look at, especially because of the equality in the scenes. Nudity =/= only breasts (looking at you, Game of Thrones and Da Vinci's Demons). That doesn't mean I need to see genitals on my screen, but if you want to show breasts, I expect naked man butts in return. Hairy or not.
Sure, why not!
I just hope they show an equal amount for both males and females unlike TW2 and ME ![]()
EDIT:
TW2 was so akward in the sense that 100% of the sexualized focus was on the female.Sexual content can be valuable to the game, though it was unfair, Geralt was even wearing freaking pants for christs sake!
If this game has full frontal male nudity, I will stand and applaud. Particularly if that's the only full frontal nudity it has.
Because unequal treatment can carry a message. And this would be a good one.
You are called the Mad for a reason I guess.

True, though I imagine the same response would be given if there are both FULL MALE and FULL FEMALE frontal nudities, since all the news sites and articles would talk about the male ones, and dismiss the female ones as "everyday occasion".I think it would be the first AAA game will full frontal male nudity, and that'd be great.Though I imagine DA:I will go with the more "tasteful" route of carefully concealing the sexy parts.
Oh look, more anti-feminists who love the Witcher
There are crazy witcher fans for sure, mostly the testosterone filled teenage ones, though there are also crazy dragon age fans...boy oh boy.So I'd call it even.

I agree, but there is virtually zero chance that this will happen. I don't expect any full frontal nudity, regardless of gender, and on the tiny chance that it does exist, I cannot imagine that it would be a male.
But, yes, it would kind of awesome to see a game that has full frontal male nudity in it without the same nudity from a female character just to see people's reactions to it. And, I don't mean the type like GTA, where it's played for comedy.
That being said, if it does ever become a real thing in video games (full frontal male nudity), I'd hope that it would be equal for females. Fair's fair and all.
We're not really going to do this here are we? Can we at least have a freaking break from it here?
I agree. This thread could quickly go to **** if it becomes a "The Witcher and Feminism" discussion.
It's going to be the bestest fade to black scene ever.
Cassandra probably doesn't shave, I'm thinking.
What we got in ME3 and DA2 were enough for me. DAO the romance scenes just felt akward and I was uncomfortable watching them XD In ME1 I have just romanced Liara, too bad it only involved naked Liara and not naked Shephard (weird).
I'm not against more.. erotic scenes either but I doubt we will see those. Maybe those are for fanfics and fanart hmm?

Yeah, they had some scenes that made sense, and a whole bunch more that were just there for the shock/in your face value.

Clearly she cast an illusion spell.
You never know who's watching. ![]()
