So because it's from tumblr, it must be false? Let's just disregard the fact the sources are linked to while we're at it.

'Evidence' from Tumblr...excuse my while I laugh my ass off. It's not surprising given the latest to trend to demonize rather than debate when people disagree.
Multiple sites have used the screen grab of the Facebook page, yet because some info made the rounds on Tumblr, it must all be immediately dismissed as make-believe? Dunno about anyone else, but this seems pretty ironic to me.

Yep. I read the blog, I question it's logic and I don't claim all the developers on the team hold the same world view.

I also read Orson Scott Card. You wanna go down that rabbit hole?

Yep.
Plus I don't have to play...main character of theirs (god the voice acting alone...) while doing it.

"Evidence" from tumblr is of the same quality as "evidence" from a crazy hobo who stands on a box at some street corner and shouts gibberish at passing cars.

Also, seeing as that link is to '**** No Video Games', a blog which called the cover of Far Cry 4 racist for moronic reasons. It is invalidated.

There's evidence that the developers support some pretty radical Islamophobic and homophobic political entities in Poland. This was already posted upthread a few pages back.
Rofl, this tumblrtard page tries to paint the anti-communist Polish guerilla movement in bad a light. The nerve of those Poles to resist Stalinist Soviet domination and for those dastardly evil right wingers to rever them is just awful!
One has to be a real communist whackjob to consider such a group that consisted of men like Witold Pilecki who was the first to inform the western allies of the holocaust as "controversial".

I'm sure tumblr believes that the reason they never achieved a communist utopia was because of white cis-scum transphobe hate-mongers.

Maybe the whole point IS to make you feel uncomfortable while gunning down civilians?
Their PR statement doesn't imply that. But I could certainly be wrong.
Hatred is just better GTA or Postal without the false pretense, hindering story or comedy coating.
While I've never played GTA kind of for that reason, I thought it was well known that the purpose of GTA was satire.
Edit: Ah yes, THAT'S what this trailer is: Your mom hates Hatred!

These developers are idiots. They should have made a protagonist that likes driving cars around city and everytime someone scratches their car they go into a mass murdering spree.
I'm pretty sure some moron critic would give it a 100% for being the most innovative thing of the last century.

I think they're targeting western sensibilities, generally speaking. Most of the Polish games I can think of have fairly brazen content that flies in the face of political correctness, which gaming is neck deep in right now. So the potential to make it more than a murder simulator is there, but most likely it's just a middle finger to the snowflakes and an easy premise to cash in on.
I'm not sure how we can have games like GTA where one of the main characters is a psychopath with a torture scene and "rampage" gameplay where you do just that, and that game be the highest best-selling game in the past five years and be "neck deep in political correctness."
I'm not sure how we can only just be pulling out of the brown on brown corridor shooters that "everyone" hates and that SJWs foam at the mouth to demonize (America+Middle Easterners as terrorists=EVOL), and be "neck deep in political correctness."
Sure, stuff like DQ and that whole controversy is stupid to the extreme. But conflating it to the entirety of gaming is false.
Also, not sure if this "interview" was posted: http://www.polygon.c...lygon-interview
"The answer is simple really. We wanted to create something contrary to prevailing standards of forcing games to be more polite or nice than they really are or even should be."
He sounds like a hipster's hipster. It's something I realized based off of something else completely unrelated: I despise mindless conformism and I despise mindless reactionism. Because mindless reactionism, counter-culture if you will, defines itself by the culture it is defying. It is specifically created in response to the culture it defies. Thus, it is the result of the culture it defies. And, being the result, it is ultimately controlled by the culture it defies.
If you want to make a game that ignores political correctness, by all means do it! And in fact, it would appear Rockstar did it. I don't care for it, I certainly won't play it, but ignoring something is how you beat it, not by reacting to it.

I don't think GTA's popularity is indicative of gaming not being neck deep in political correctness. Forget gaming, this society seems to be in it.

I'll agree wholeheartedly about society. But I haven't seen it in gaming. It's making inroads, certainly, but it isn't neck deep in it by any stretch of the imagination.
Ubisoft, one of the big AAA companies and a French company at that, regularly makes games about stabbing people because they don't agree with you--and in their last two games, you've been allowed to hunt animals (even whales for Black Flag, and that got them some flack), and it looks like they're doing it again. So no, I don't think we're up to our necks in it.
Ubi's actually very interesting in general, because they're bizarrely pro-American in some ways (the whole Tom Clancy side) and aren't afraid to be somewhat controversial, but I digress (their PR is astonishingly bad, but they definitely don't fit into the politically correct bunch).
Edit: I think the next time I go to Gamestop I'll take a look at the shelves, maybe take a picture, and see how many of them look "politically correct" and nonviolent. Such a silly, silly comment.
