It's not about how they look better or not. It's about how they are not who they are. If Varric out a sudden changed to look like IronBull, yes there will still be people saying he looks better but that's not who he was.

Well she's been updated since that image but I really don't see the problem here. There isn't actually a massive difference between those two faces, it's just that one is in a better engine with a lot better definition when it comes to facial features. The changes to her features are quite minor.
Varric has actually changed about as much as Cassandra has.
Spoiler
These changes are minor and mostly just the result of a newer better engine that is capable of more realistic and more detailed faces.
I think I prefer the new Cassandra look. In DA2 she was a little too... I don't know ''intact'' to be a warrior, so to speak? I'm not sure what term to emply. In Inquisition she has a more focused stare and a pretty big scar that serves to emphasize her tough lady look, while not making her ''mannish'' and she's still pretty enough.
Damn. Do you people complain about consistency in design when it comes to comic books? Every artist puts their own spin on Batman, for example... thousands of variations going on for like 75 years.
Cassandra gets different artists in two games and an anime and you gripe about it.
It's normal to have changes in design. Yet you're treating this like an offense.
Cassandra will be one of those characters that I will initially have no interest in because I already have it in my mind that she isn't going to be one of my favorites and I have no desire to have her in my party. However, I get the feeling that as I progress through the game she will come around. Who knows, by my second or third playthrough she could become one of my favorites so I'm not going to write her off completely just yet.
Trying to figure out if the new footage takes place towards the very beginning or if it's more around the time we move to the Skyhold.
I think most of it happens at the start before Skyhold.
There's some cool music , the first track is the DAI theme (i think) and I don't remember hearing the second track before but it sounds quite good.I hope it's in DAI soundtrack.
Very excited about the new video. I can't wait to find out more about her, especially where she's coming from and how she's changed. I like how Miranda mentioned that she's got a bit of a romantic side. Nailed it, Aimo. This is a stupid little thing, but did anyone else catch that little braid across the top of her head? Sneaky femininity creeping in? Ooooh.
