That braid has been there since the very first trailer!
Also, David Gaider said she was a secret romantic in the character-related interview a while ago.

Cassandra continues to be the companion I'm most looking forward to spending time with when I play the game, and she may even overtake Leliana as my favourite companion of the series. We shall see. Great video. Miranda is awesome.
A bit un-related. Anyone else think Miranda sounds a bit like Billie Piper? (Rose in Dr Who)
Loved this video best so far
, I wish she could voice the female inquisitor too!
Ugh she gets more and more gorgeous.
Why o why couldn't they have modeled Cassandra after her, Miranda Raison. She is much prettier. Cassandra just looks mean and almost masculine.
The way Cassandra looks and comes off in most videos it is more like my Inquisitor and her would measure our D*cks than start a romance.
That said she might have a gentle sweet side to her, I can't rule her out until I played the game. I just don't like how they made her look, so angular and angry and masculine.
Josephine just looks odd with her teeth and nose. Then again all the characters have this oddity about them. Why is that, when most other games can have perfect looking models and the Frostbite engine has no problem making realistic looking characters instead of a plastic sheen of a skin.
Just minor gripes. Her voice sounds very unique though.
I didn't think it was possible but now I like Cassandra even more
Love Miranda Riason.

No, Cassandra is beautiful and perfect the way she is. Also, she's Nevarran so she has to fit the Nevarran look.
Wow, what a great voice. She sounds amazing, I can't wait to meet her in DAI. ![]()
Damnit.
My male mage is now demanding I play him along side my female one D: Nooo I cantz.
But soooon Cass. Soooooooooon.
Oh, great vid. Great insight. Loving Cass. Can't wait to meet her in game. Even with the whole sword at my throat thing...maybe even because of that... ![]()
srsly, tho, i really love this VA vids. Plz keep doing these BW. For the ME series, too!
I really like Cassandra as a character. She definitely has alot of personality and I can't wait to interact with her in the game. That being said, I have to admit I dislike her on a personal level with regards to what I currently know about her, and thus I intend for my inquisitor to as well. I think having a heroic character that I dislike so much is interesting, and seems like a fun exploration of my own biases as a player (I will confess, my dislike of her is no small part because of her lack of ... apparent skepticism regarding interpretations of unusual events).
I hope the game gives me every chance to make choices that express my bias against her.
I hope that for every choice I make against her interest, that the game will not let me get rid of or ignore her and her contributions.
I hope the game is prepared to punish me for expressing this bias, but just so much as to not discourage me from doing so.
Basically, this character appears to have enormous potential of actually forcing me to both actively dislike and respect a character at the same time, and that's not actually an easy audience perspective to write to, so I hope it let's me explore that well.
Man, I really kind of want to put Varric and Cassandra on my team for at least one playthrough now. Party banter in DA:I is definitely one of my favorite things, and with the bigger open worlds, I have a feeling that i'll spend hours just running around listening to party banter and admiring the beautiful environments.
Oh man, i'm just so excited to jump into Thedas again ![]()
Was not planning to roll a male inquisitor at all, but this video has me reconsidering it.
Either way... the more we learn about Cassandra, the more I like her.
And I like her DA: I look too. The sharp facial features really speak to her hardened personality, and the little braid on the top is a nice touch that still suggests some femininity beneath it all. Has it really been there all along? I only noticed it today for the first time.
Very much looking forward to get to know her more. She seems like a very complex and layered character. ![]()

It's been there ever since we have first seen her in-engine in the 2013 E3 trailer.
Great video. Can't wait for my Inquisitor to get to know Cassandra. Maybe they will even be BFFs like my Warden and Morrigan were. ![]()
Anyone notices at 1:04 the chantry men in the background? Back in the last twitter session with Mr. Lee and Mr. Laidlaw the same scene is played out, but the chantry people aren't in there.

She has a great voice, but what I've heard from Cassandra at the moment has always felt a little bit forced to me. I'd rather she'd used more of her natural voice to be honest.
But who knows, haven't played the full game yet, so it might grow on me.
That was a wonderful bit of insight into Cass's character. Definitely makes me glad I'm going to be carrying the starting three companions around with me all game, as well, because her dynamic with both Varric and Solas should be a treat. Varric especially.
And who knows, maybe having her out in the field constantly will help her upend Josie as far as an inaugural romance. Looking forward to seeing how that side of the dynamic might surprise me, as well.
Arrgghhh, I'm so ready for it to be November.
