Hmmmmm...I guess in my fanfic I'm a bit more "traditonal" XD I don't switch sexualities even if I REALLY want to. That's why I don't write Harry Potter fanfic the idea of Ginny and Hermione having a lurid tryst (as adults) is just too compelling so I don't even bother. Thank goodness Dragon Age has a lot of women who are open to either.

Hmmmmm...I guess in my fanfic I'm a bit more "traditonal" XD I don't switch sexualities even if I REALLY want to. I do alot of AU work myself. Not a Romance-y type of writer though.

 

But it does mean alot of BSN pairings are fair game for fics should some maniac actually decide to write some. Including the ones involving myself. *Shudders*

I don't think any topic in itself is taboo. Context, timing, the crowd the joke targeted at and a million other things factor into it.

Any that are physically or emotionally(like ****** with someone who's already fucked up emotionally and you're ****** with them to get them to kill themselves, or something like that)  abusive are going too far imo.

And, I've seen a man blow his brains out before and it didn't phase Me, but if I see something about rape and what have you, it bothers the **** out of Me for like a month. So I also think that too in the sense you should be mindful of how fucked up that is.

I largely believe you should be able to say what ever you like so long as it isn't treating **** or what have you. Just be mindful when making ****** jokes.

Context is king and determines whether a joke is inappropriate or not. But generally speaking, jokes should have no boundaries. If it's something worth taking seriously, it's worth making fun of.

That pretty much covers it. I've heard Clean jokes well done, clean jokes done bad, nasty jokes done well, and nasty jokes done bad. It'd have to be remarkably distasteful to be categorized as unanimously invalid for a laugh. For me, comedy works best with an assassin's methodology - Preparation, Timing, and Technique are absolutely key to making it work. I've had some jokes put on here that I saved far in advance until the right moment. What's deemed appropriate can make it more difficult to create, but typically doesn't render it impossibru.
