Yep, I got the Hardcover CE one pre-ordered.
I very rarely buy them for games, but for DA I really enjoy it and it's pretty helpful. Of course there is the internet instead, but I find the actual physical thing much easier to use, the layout is nice and simply put I really like the art/pictures. Plus it should have everything there and it saves having to hunt through information finding the right stuff.
I won't be using it for my first playthrough but it'll be handy for any ones after that.
I bought the Inquisitor's Edition of the Strategy Guide the couple days it was really cheap(compared to what it usually is).
I was so tempted to get that, but in the end I resisted...but it does look gorgeous....and has an awesome pen I really want for some reason lol.

I find all my game help on-line now so buying a game strategy guide is a waste as far as that is concerned. Besides after a couple patches it isn't even accurate anymore. Sometimes the artwork is worth it, but even that can be found on-line. So, no, I just don't buy them anymore.

The CE is pre-ordered for me.
I'm a CE strategy-guide hoarder for games that I believe I will thoroughly enjoy.
Or might need a spectacular guide for, just in case.
Plus, the extra goodies along with it is a major plus.

Yeah, I've pre-ordered the guide for a few reasons:-
1. The enemies don't scale with your level and healing is now limited, and I hate dying (well... watching my character die anyway
).
2. The puzzles... ('nuff said), I saw one of them in one of the demos released recently and...
yeah, definitely getting the guide.

No interest in the guide itself.
Will buy anyways if DLC it comes with is interesting.
Still don't know what this 'Bonus DLC' is.
Would prefer to know sooner rather than later.

I preordered the Collectors Edition Hardback guide and I can't wait to see how pretty it will be. It will be the first collectors edition guide I have ever gotten. I also preordered the Xbox One Deluxe Edition though I would have loved to have been able to get the Inquisitors Edition.
I really hope that they include some awesome DLC bonuses for those of us who got the Collectors Edition, aside from the Flames of the Inquisition pack and the mounts and thrones of course.

The amount of likes I have for this comment...it's enough to blot out the sun!!!I bought it. I'm shallow - I like spoilers o.o/
Getting the hardcover awesome collectors edition. Love everything I've heard bout the game and always been a biodrone (haven't honestly played a bioware game I didn't like, bad things but liked DA2 and ME3 still my all time fav game) not sure why it's an insult when people like a way a company makes games? But that's for another topic I presume lol

Yep, definitely buying the guide for this game, same as I've done for every Bioware game. I enjoy having the point of reference in my hand with pretty pictures and everything. ![]()

I ordered the Paperback since I think it's easier to pick it up and use it if it's just a paperback. I love game guides. I hope I won't have to use it my first run through though assuming my computer doesn't need an upgrade to run it.
It's a great reference source and it looks kool. (does anyone use the word kool anymore?) But sure the wiki is probably a better source.

People still buy strategy guides? Am I still stuck in the 90s?
...Wait, that would be freaking awesome. If only I had a time machine.

Sure they do! Cigarette and powdered drink mix companies still use it pretty regularly. ![]()

Hardcover CE guide pre-ordered months ago. Won't use it at all for my first play through but It needs to join the hardcover CE guides for DAO and DA2 I have on my shelf just for the beautiful artwork and extra lore. Will be getting the art book too (also to remain unopened until first play through is done). The only other game I've ever bothered buying the guide for is Skyrim, but the DA guides are so much prettier.

Last time I bought a guide for any Bioware game, which was Mass Effect 2, I regretted it pretty heavily. The only thing I can remember being right in that game's guide was the maps. That and I need to spend my money fairly wisely at the moment and can only get the game.
