It is the classical Towers of Hanoi puzzle. It was in Bioware's Knights of the Old Republic in one of the Korriban tombs. It is also referenced in ME3, in the Silversun Strip's game arcade, that has a Towers of Hanoi game (which Shepard refuses to play).

I read the wiki and it said "Towers of Hanoi" and I said: "um, what's that?"

I just made the connection to shep not wanting to play that game at Castle Arcade in the Citadel DLC.
