Hello everyone! I am wondering if I am the only one in this situation...
 
Here's the thing. I want fancy outfits for my Inquisitor in Dragon Age Inquisition!
 
In Dragon Age Origins, I used to play a female mage and I hated the outfits styles for the dresses and the robes. They were sooo medieval! Bleh! All Brown and tubular... I liked the hats though...
 
In Dragon Age 2, my female mage Hawke got finally her wonderful armor, but still, I would have liked to be able to change her outfits from times to times... There was this party she attented with Tallis where her outfit was horrible! (come on, I thought she was wearing male clothes! bleh again!!!) I always wondered why they did not gave her a wonderful cocktail dress, since hawke was wearing something very nice when she was visiting her estate....
 
Now, in Dragon Age Inquisition,  I want my female mage to have something orlesian to wear! And not an armor! I'm dreaming about a dress very fancy with jewels! I know, I know, there may be not time to wear this when the fate of the world will be in her hands. But, we don't know yet, maybe we'll get the chance to attend an orlesian bal with Morrigan and Celes?
 
Owww, this would be wonderful! Even for male characters. I'm sure there is place to give our heroes some outfits that will give them an 'everyday' look. That's probably the sims player in me that want this so much.

I suggest you check the thread (In Feedback) We want more female Inquisitor . There were Pics posted in there about the balls we gonna attend with some outfit . Go take a look...

Yes.

 

Several of my characters are going to be nobles, or politicians with a lot of interest in the Game, or former thugs who are taking advantage of the perks that come with power. I want them all to go to an Orlesian ball decked out in finery of varying taste levels. I also have a qunari who likes wearing her armor and/or something practical everywhere, so I would like to have the chance to show up in something less than extravagant and have it be remarked upon.

Well here what I know...

 

Apparently we gonna attend 2 Balls . One given by Vivianna and one..unknown or when or by whome . 

 

I also know this : they said we can drink but in cutscene like (Im hoping it isnt true..cose all my toons are pervy and alcoholic  and that just mean I may end up breaking the cutscene ) . 

 

And that pic...many (mostly guessing mind ya) that the one in RED is maybe a human female Inquisitor (and the one with white hair is a SHE btw in case u couldnt tell) .

About the picture, yes it was hard to tell male or female, but I don't have anything against 2 men or 2 women dancing together hehe!

 

In fact, I'm sure that same sex dance would be very fashion in Orlais

Unless it ties in to the one thrown by Vivienne then I think the second ball is one in the winter palace where the Inquisitor has to root out an assassin. If I can remember where on the DA wiki it was mentioned then I could dig up a source.

I did read somewhere there gonna be a fight in one of these 2 . So I'm hoping they arent just one interrupted event . Cose seriously....alot of peoples are looking forward to this .

I so want casual armor choices and the more the merrier. I want the opition to wear something extravagant at the orlaisan balls or in general while in orlais. I also want the chance to customize my Mask. Since in Orlais everyone who is someone walks around with a mask in public, I guess a helmet works too. but I want crazy designs for my mask and opitions to chose. 

 

 

on an unrelated note, as someone who got a minor in medieval studies the armor of Origins isn't really medieval. Of course you can't just say medieval armor and get a definate answer. As armor evolved over time. Armor in 1000 CE and armor in 1400 CE were not the same.  This also goes for clothing as well, what men and women wore around 1000 CE and 1400 CE were different but then 4 centuries is enough time for things to change.

I would rather not wear mask so I can show that I am above their silly games. But having a mask option would be cool!

Perhaps the crafting system will let us make some fancy robes for us to prance around in. I for one musn't look awful while fighting a dragon with Vivienne. Quite beneath her, if you ask me.

@Kyno In fact everyone in this franchise is well dressed, like Morrigan for exemple, she would wear only leaves and she would still be fashion lol! I do want to craft dresses so my inquisitor will be as elegant as Vivienne!

Actually that would be a cool idea . To craft our own Mask !! 

 

I dunno how far the crafting will fit wit this event though..........

I'm looking forward it, but my inquisitor won't be very interested, so I wish she could Johanna Mason some unsuspecting Orlesian noble party goers when the balls winds down to demonstrate exactly how not into she is. Won't happen but I can dream/headcanon.
