I'm not going to judge people's choice of romance but when I saw this topic and looked at today's date and the release date of the game I couldn't help but do a face palm?  The game is pretty much finalized at this point and they are polishing it up for it's release 1 month from now.  No amount of begging is going to get them to add in a last minute romance because if they did at this point, it would mean another delay and more late hours for them.

 

Let's NOT ask bioware to delay the game to ask for something as mundane as another romance option shall we?

You say that like there's actually a chance of it happening.

 

I don't see a problem with people asking, though even if she was in it I'm not sure I would trust Bioware's latest character model of her.

I think we will at least get a cameo becase both Bethany and Carver could be organizations that play major roles in DAI. 

 

As beta-tester of a certain tool, I'm sure, they will appear in DA:I.

Uh im not a cullen "fan" im just happy we get to have a handsome blonde man, with a nice voice, joining the group. Besides he has more relevance to the story than Bethany does. He was involved in the storyline of da2 and on top of that, took control of Kirkwall making sure it didnt completely fall apart, after all the drama. What did Bethany do exactly? She was a small catalyst to Hawkes story, just like the rest of Hawkes family, most of whom ended up dead in the end.

Really you are gonna use Cullens DAI Bio to try and make him relevant he had a minor role in DA2 and in fairness his DAI Bio is BS anyway yeah he took control of Kirkwall only because of DA2's bad writing.Hey Cullen Viscount Hawke needs to have words with you.

 

I dont hate Cullen but I can argue the same arguments you can about Bethany but with him.

Not that I disagree with you (Bioware can easily make Bethany/Carver more important in the following games if They Want to, regardless of their role in DA2), but Viscount Hawke probably Left shortly after the events of DA2.
Or maybe they'll make some differences based for Cullen's background based on Hawke being the viscount. I guess we'll see in DAI.

The issue was them pulling a Revan with Hawke it put the final nail in DA2s Coffin to me granted the game wasnt very good anyway in my opinion but the ultimate kick in the balls came in the Vanishing of Hawke give me a break.

you can argue whatever you want, my statements are facts. Most of hawkes family dies? fact. hawke could potentially end up with no siblings? fact.

Cullens' DAI bio is based upon official lore, which means that both devs and writers alike, place far more importance on Cullens' presence story wise, than they do Bethanys, its offical lore, a *fact* no matter what you think about it, being "bs".

I'll wait to see how They handled Hawke in DAI and too see the reason for his/her disappearance, but I understand your disappointment.

While I'd like to see some closure on what happened to the missing Hawke sibling (it could have been Carver, you know) it's unlikely to happen. There are 6 possible outcomes.
1. Bethany alive in Kirkwall - dead in Deep Roads
2. Bethany alive in Kirkwall - made a Circle mage
3. Bethany alive in Kirkwall - made a Grey Warden
4. Bethany killed in Lothering - Carver dead in Deep Roads
5. Bethany killed in Lothering - Carver a templar
6. Bethany killed in Lothering - Carver a Grey Warden

She's even more likely to be dead, because she can die after becoming a Circle mage. This probably occurs about as often as people selling Fenris back to slavery.

But, because I feast on tragedy...

One of my Hawkes spent 9 years trying to appease the templars in order to protect Bethany. By the time Meredith asked Hawke to execute her, Hawke had forgotten how to say no.

I am afraid it is a little late to request a romance. Game will be released in one month. And anyway, I don't think the writers/developers give a damn about requests for romance. Sorry to be blunt, but that is the truth.

We are yet to see how Cullen the Useless somehow turned into Cullen the Awesome, kicking Hawke and Aveline in oblivion in the process.

As for topic, best case scenario is a cameo for Bethany/Carver. Though I understand the appeal of getting someone like Bethany (intelligent, sane, kind and good-looking) as a LI instead of DA2 bunch of crazies.

I think Isabela was attractive. But I do agree that Bethany was prettier. Or at least default Bethany was.

They may give a nod to her or carver's existence or... pre-existence (depending on some playthroughs) when you meet hawke... but I would be beyond shocked if you ever actually saw either of them.

but.. but but Hawke disappeared at the end of his/her own game, it wasn't an additional DLC ending change, or something revealed in DAI early look at's.
