I'd say she's unapealing because of all the flirting around, and possible STDs.
I know she's not our PC's sister but I still see her as a virtual sister outside of playing as Hawke, so a romance with her is not an option for me and I think a good chunk of people.
I just hope she wasn't at the Peace Conference

Neither I understand the fascination with stoic jerk characters like Cassandra anyway, yet there she is, an romance. Say do you have an problem with Josephine too? because I think her personality type to be similar to Bethany.

Not really. Our weird hang-ups about sex are more related to legitimacy and religion, which comes back to a lot of complicated factors that don't really involve safe sex.
Considering she's dead in lots and lots of people's playthrough so unlikely to even be in, and they've already announced the romance options for this game that's a month from release, I suspect it's gonna be up to Sten:

As much as I loved Bethany in DA2, I'm not too broken up about her not being romanceable in DA:I. I just want her to show up in DA:I, whether in a cameo or as part of a string of quests. Really, that's all I want to know from the devs about DA:I atm. Sadly, Bethany won't show up in my first 2 playthroughs even if she does have a cameo in DA:I because I went mage Hawke in my first playthrough and she died in the Deep Roads in my second playthrough.

Carver is my favourite sibling to choose from too , Merrill/Carver is just awesome, Sebastian/Bethany is boring.
She may not be the Inquisitor's sister, but she is Hawke's sister. Since Hawke is an avatar of the players themselves (obviously excluding people who haven't played DA2) you, as the player, have been introduced to her as your sister when playing as Hawke. The fact that the new protagonist wouldn't be related to her is irrelevant, IMO.
To use another game series as an example:
What if in Telltale Games' The Walking Dead, sometime several years into the future, you the player are controlling a completely new protagonist in say, season 10. Then you discover that during the game you can put the moves on a now adult Clementine.

If Cullen was gone from the game or never introduced i wouldnt care one way or the other, my inq will be an elf who despises humans, so i have no plans to romance him. I keep telling you that based upon official lore he has far more importance to the story than Bethany does, thats been my original stand point from the get go. The very first thing i said in this thread is that Bethany is completely unimportant to the overarching storyline, something that bioware clearly intended, otherwise they wouldnt introduce numerous opportunities to kill her off throughout the game. I also think its funny that you think the game is bad, but are completely obsessed with a minor character introduced in said bad game, Its only bad when the story doesnt agree with your preferences it seems. Maybe the next game should be named Bethany age 4, would that please you? You seem just as rabid of a Bethany fan, as any of the Cullen fans you keep going on about.
I am not obsessed with Bethany we started this back and forth not because I obsessively like her or wanted to Romance her but because you were demeaning the Character and ripping into people that may have wanted to have a Romance with her.And in regards to the game being bad because it not suiting my prefrences I am not that shallow DA2 was a rushed game that took away the players choice and it was a terrible follow up to Origins period.

Sigh, if only we could keep Bethany with a mage Hawke. I do know how one could mod Bethany with mage Hawke and have conversations recognize that Hawke is a mage (the current mods remove that recognition), but it would be very time consuming to do.
Plus DA:I might just contradict it.
Oh I am sorry when you said wasting resources making a meaningless character a Romance I assumed you meant characters like Cullen.
