Well realistically he knows he is reached the point in his life that anytime could die from old age. It won't be a surpise if they decide to make DAI Bodahn's final moments in his life.

That's why i said that, because it really could be foreshadowing or it could be what any older parent feels in that situation.

Sorry but Sandal is just out of character in the game to me. Like he was some joke character. I can't speak to him and remain immersed in the game world. Course I only met him in DA:O, he may have been better in DA2.

I would set him up with the best quarters in Skyhold (if I am able to choose for him) since he is one of my favourite characters. If he were to work with Dagna I think they could make some cool toys!

Yes I would obviously recruit Sandal. The Inquisition can never have too many Dwarves.
Also, I believe Bodahn will die in Inquisition.
