Semi confirmed rumor all dwarfs are now male and reproduced asexually?

 

Hopefully not the case and thats just a very poor angle making it look like a bulge in her pants.

You asked for it.  And in doing so, you've doomed us all!

Torso as in the chest and shoulder area? I thought all the DAO female models looked a little... odd there. Like, stretched out in some ways that seem uncanny. I wouldn't mind if they were tweaked to fix that.

DAO's females used the same rig as the males, so that's why all the girls look like football players with boy-hips. Like in NWN1, BioWare attached the normal human arms to the short race (in this case, dwarf), so they could mostly keep the same animations, resulting in gorilla arms.

In DA2, they invested in a completely female rig (one of the few positive things to arise from that project). Now, we didn't get to see how this would work for a dwarf in DA2, since we all know girls are icky and there were no female dwarves in DA2, but DAI dwarves seem to be built to be, y'know, dwarves, instead of some sort of abomination with stitched together body parts and animations.

Say what you will about DA's direction after Origins or how Laidlaw is running it, but the man cares about the feel of the characters, and has steered BioWare into taking some real steps in avoiding the whole male-focused aspect of gaming.

Which makes me think that somewhere in BioWare is an evil genius because I can't see EA getting excited about BioWare investing in female rigs and animations.

The image is all wrong. It looks like a bad photoshop, the head/helm glued onto a male body. I'm not accepting that that is what dwarves will look like in game. It wasn't just dwarves either. Humans had this too, and all races except Qunari had the pasted on helm.

Well, it was only visible on the Dwarf and human rogue, in those images from the site. I didn't notice it on the elf.

I wouldn't worry too much about what Allan said. He's a Bioware employee, its his job, at least in part, to present the game in as positive a light as possible. Even if he really thought it looked like a male 'bulge' he would not admit that to us.

 

As I said, I suspect the pics on the site are rushed photoshops, and are not to be trusted as far as in game content goes. Wait to see how they look in game.

I miss my chunky Dwarf Commoner. The changes to dwarf models and no body customization are big letdowns for me.
