This is a tricky subject as it involves racism, sexism etc. Many people will object to it based on real life prejudices and I am guessing Bioware will not want to upset people on that level. But purely for roleplaying purposes, should we be able to show some level of prejudice? It is not a good thing to promote for the sake of video game entertainment but in a sense it helps craft a character of our own knowing we can place their own distastes in them such as hating the Qunari or Tevinter Magisters.

What do you think? I think we should be allowed to some level of prejudice to some races and others but not going to the extreme. We have been able to show prejudices with the Warden and Hawke and that made for interesting roleplay. One character doesn't mind elves while the other looks down on them. It is these type of traits that can make characters we play to feel more alive in a sense and more different with how they act towards people.

I think DAO offered some change of prejudice? Calling humans shemlens and elfs knife-ears I think..

I'd like to have option to play ignorant Inquisitor, maybe even prejudiced in some ways. Not horribly racist or sexist though and I'd like to be called out on that too. It's just that we have had change to be evil if we want as well and maybe prejudice is part of that hmm?

Personally I'm planning one playthrough as sheltered and thus ignorant noble man. I think he will be prejudiced in certain ways too, towards mages, qunari and dalish.. maybe even poor people too XD

The PC can side with the templars, so it's already inevitable.

I could see them doing that, but with more actions than words since, at least to me, that seems how they prefer to do it. Though I have no doubt you can say at least a few negative things about others.

I want to play a cocky Dalish elf, hatin' on the shems, using whatever slang there is for dwarves, and showing distaste for the hornheads for converting elves.

I want my elf to be this incredibly angry shem hating dude who inevitably falls in love with one of them. So yes for prejudices. My Mahariel and Tabris were very anti-shemlen in the beginning too.

The Saga of the Assquisitor answers this pretty definitively, no? :D

I can never be racist to Dwarves. Elves are perhaps a bit mopey so maybe I'll be a douche to them.
