Possible addition in future games: turning into a dragon like Flemeth?

There's nothing I love more in a game than scaled beasts. Dragons especially. Needless to say I love dragons. I'm sure I'm not the only one. Now I'm sure I'm also not the only one who had hoped we could transform into a dragon like Flemeth when it was something you could say in the beginning of Dragon Age II. This idea was something you could do in the game Divinity. It was incredibly fun and a great change of pace.

Now if something like that was included to the incredible game series of Dragon Age, I'm sure this game would be so much better. Not saying it's bad (because seriously, it isn't, it's amazing), but with dragon transformations it could be incredible. Of course it would be limited to large areas where your form would fit. That and aerial dragon fights (or land if you prefer)! And the final boss? The King of the Dragons. Upon beating him and showing your dominance, you will become the Dragon King, and that's where the game would end.

Good idea? Bad idea? Share your ideas on this in the comments below.

PS: I know I said "future" games, but at the same time this could be a DLC since we are in large open areas, and then we could get a new area where it would be the only place you could transform at just as a bit of a teaser (or something similar).

I wouldn't mind that but I think it's more likely we would get a dragon mount rather than turn into one ourselves. For one, it would be for mages only and that seems like a lot of work for something that won't be touched by a chunk of the player base. Not saying no one plays mage, it's just if you aren't playing a mage, the biggest draw to a DLC wouldn't be playable. Something for BioWare to ponder on though, would be interesting.

I would love to be like a Manakete.

Though I doubt it will ever happen.

It's more likely they will invent an airplane first, then to turn into a dragon...

Or what about being a high dragon and shape changing into a human.

Oops.

If you could turn into a dragon that would be cool, but I think it may have a more Breath of Fire vibe. Not that that would be a bad thing. I would be for them making Shapeshifter a specialization again in the future and having some badass forms like a gryffin (I dare to dream) or a wyvern.

Shapeshifter specialization for mage? I'd like that. Or maybe they could have racial specializations, and that would be for the Dalish since they are in tune with nature. They could change into animals such as griffons and small dragons.

Would be nice,  but really OP,  and would give mages an unfair advantage. It would have to be a temporary thing with a massive cooldown.

I don't need to turn into anything, but I'd love to be able to play a warden again in future (doesn't need to be our original warden) and discover a griffin egg that has somehow remained in a kind of stasis until being discovered by the warden, then have the ability to fly around on that at some point in the game. :)

But maybe that's just me..

Become a dragon...Maybe it is an interesting idea to extend game longevity or for a Dlc if you can do it nearby the end of the game.
