Which modules do you find impossible to complete without dying at least once or cheating?

BR1 - The Fall of Ulud and Endless Nights III I found close to impossible.  I can only complete these two with specific characters.  In the case of BR1 it was an Elf Ranger6/Wizard1/AA5 (I finished level 12), and it was an Elf Bard26/BG4/RDD10 for the second.  Both characters relied heavily on stealth, and the latter required items giving immunity to criticals (most epic melee bosses have devastating critical), and immunity to evocation spells, because you will be targeted by implosion spells from level 11 or so onwards.

Revenge is Bittersweet was just too difficult.  At one point I was pounced on by 3 water elementals, each requiring a DC2) save against death.  Given that I was a Ranger6/Assassin1/SD1 with 12 con, I required three saves of 14+, ie only about a 1 in 10 chance of surviving.  I had saved before that point and after several attempts to get past, even sneaking or being invisible I died.  Eventually I accidentally discovered how to get past them.  My intention was to have them chase me to the last level, and as they arrived on my tail, go back again.  Often that leaves monsters behind.  However, while they did try to run after me, they were held up by my henchmen, who eventually killed them.  By that time, and I had already died numerous times before, I gave up.

I've never finished Wyvern Knights either.  In this case I found it too gloomy and depressing for my personal taste.

Any modules you found impossible or close to impossible?

Are you considering death as part of the plot (e.g. NWN: OC, SoU, and HotU) or just that the modules are very tough? Also is reloading from a save permitted? And are you looking at modules that may give a benefit to players that die?

Thanks for replying.

I'm just talking about tough modules, or those you didn't like.  Reloading from a save is not permitted.

A module that is difficult is very different from a module where you're put against 3 water elementals with 20 DC save or die at level 8.  Even a fighter with 14 con would only have 6 + 2 = 8 plus item bonuses.  Now, theoretically maybe you weren't supposed to fight them at that level or were supposed to get an item with Death Magic immunity...but if not then that's simply stupid, not difficult.

Probably the hardest module I've played that I didn't make myself is Swordflight Chapter 2.  I still didn't find it overly difficult even intentionally playing as the weakest possible character in that module according to the author.  I died a few times to unexpected things like nymphs having a death aura (which I had never seen before) and the author technically designed the module around the assumption that the player would die multiple times.  Being a glutton for punishment I always reloaded and beat every encounter without using death to make it easier.

However, I know that a ton of people complained about the module being way too hard.  I think part of that is I'm better at using things like consumables better than most -- people are often used to just having a handful of healing potions and that is it.  And I'm used to playing games on the hardest difficulty settings (and Swordflight is certainly far more difficult than the vast majority of stuff in NWN).

Swordflight Chapter 1, while a good module and well worth playing (especially as it sets the stage for Chapter 2 which is in my top half dozen modules), suffered from some RNG problems where winning some fights was very luck based -- though that's a typical problem for low level (like levels 1-3) NWN modules simply because your HP is so low relative to weapon damage and things like sneak attack.

I cry a lot, so it's all too hard for me, as I'm unwilling to raise my skills & tactics to the level of mastery required to overcome overpowering foes, and I believe it's far easier to just cry than try.... (end sarcasm)
