Is there facial hair for male Qunari? Can the face paint used in place of helmets be hidden or must it be visible like Dalish tats?

The qunari face paint (Vitaar) takes up the helmet slot, so it is probably affected by the helmet toggle. I've seen qunari with goatees and stubble, but not long beards, so I don't know the extent of the facial hair options...

I've asked the facial hair question on twitter a couple of times and gotten no answer. What I want to know is if the qunari will have their own set of facial hair options or if they have the same humans get.
Unfortunately I bet that the face paint will disappear if we have disabled the helmets since they take up the helmet slot for qunari.

Why? I want the helmets to be invisible and the face paint to stay.

Me too. Can't have my Dalish running around sans tattoos - provided the tattoos are decent.
Sten in the Sacred Ashes trailer had a beard and a thin mustache, I've seen no other example of Qunari with facial hair yet though.

I remember bald and stubble, which one has goatee?

MOTA qunari had facial hair (Salit and his friends). Also Stenishock features a beard in comic book.

Ugh... a lot of people were using this guy as their avatar a few days ago and now I can't find a picture of him... ![]()
It's from a character creation demo or something... I'll see if I can find the screenshot...

Ah, yes, handsome one.
I thought that was just stubble though.

Oh, so you now what I'm talking about? I think he had... gray skin and like, a dark goatee... it was kind of thin though. More like sideburns that connected to a light beard and mustache. Not a long goatee.
edit: Whoops, I just found that picture and it is clearly just stubble. My mistake. :s

Well, second picture has "beard" option. They wouldn't add it just for 4 kinds of stubble, right? (Thinks of qunari hair.) Oh, dear... ![]()

Same here. :c I like to see my characters faces so I always toggle off helmets, but the face paint is awesome and I want it to be visible.. choices.

Agh, I hope that's not the case! I really want my qunari to have a goatee of some sort!

If they had just made it an individual toggle, this wouldn't even be an issue... no idea why they went with universal.

Yes, with dwaves and humans featuring epic beards, qunquisitors deserve them too!

I wonder how cutscenes work. Will helmets disappear automatically or you can have them on? But then everybody will have them on... ![]()

Same here, but for my Qunari playthroughs I think I'll put helmets on visible, use the face paint on my Inquisitor (and Iron Bull?) and just not use helmets for any of the other companions.

Yeah, that's probably what I'll end up doing as well, or just be really picky with the helmets, ha

Uh... actually now that you mention it, it would be very strange if the Inquisitor's vitaar disappeared during cutscenes... more so than a helmet, which you could just imagine gets taken off and put back on. But removing and reapplying facepaint just to talk to somebody? ![]()
Maybe it isn't affected by the toggle after all... or the toggle works differently in cutscenes when vitaar is involved.

In Redcliff demo did qunquisitor always had her warpaint on? I don't remember that followers had helmets.

Yes she did... as for the followers... actually they've never shown Dorian, Iron Bull, or Sera wearing any kind of helmet to my knowledge, so I can't say whether or not a toggle was enabled.

I hope vitaar is independent from the helmet toggle.
I want to hide helmets for all companions, but I'd rather I see the vitaar I put on.
