Just got kicked out of a Threatening lobby as a level 7. Before we had played a single match together. The other three were between 16-20.

7 isn't 8. People play by the rules.

That said it is quite fun "showing off" in routine and topping the board with a level 1 whatever.

In a crowd of +15 level guys. Gotta love beast equipment.

Is there any common "etiquette" on the gong? I view it as the job of the leader who presumably chose to go after a dragon to make the summoning commitment. When I am PUGing I don't care if I fight the dragon so I have no interest in the gong.

I don´t think there is any special etiquette. If the team looks nice and I have the call, I will use it. If I don´t have the call, I just leave it to luck if someone else feels to use theirs. I so rarely host, I would never even get to smash the gong if I was expecting the host to do it. And why even, I am part of the team so I can very well be the one to "contribute" with dragon call.

Invisible perilous dragon. Reappeared after it ran away once, then went invisible again. I died suddenly from unseen damage. Watched an AW solo. Disconnected from victory screen. This sums up my DAMP. Was about to ragequit 4eva, but then I noticed I had a dragon maul in my inventory.

Well played, biower...

Yeah, you're actually awarded server side before that. The victory screen (and pose) is just cosmetic.

Ah, good to know. The HoK on these dragon weapons is incredible! Plus, the maul has upgrade slots! UPGRADE SLOTS!

Had to solo the last part of zone 4 and 3/4 of the dragon.

Only on threatening though.

Maul of the dragon has impressed me. Can't wait for the Avvar's turn.

Perilous Pug, FC, Storm Dragon (?????????Why??????????)

Myself as a level 20 Elementalist (20 perilous dragons and not a single dragon weapon drop yet btw. Bioware please fix).

Level 14 Duelist

Level 14 Arcane Warrior

Level 19 Keeper

Ya know, going in, I thought we had this in the bag. Then the Duelist (also host who picked a storm dragon) goes down in zone 1.

No big deal, I pick him up while Keeper barriers. Duelist plugs his mic in at this point.

We finish up zone 1 without any other issues. Move on to zone 2 without any issue and enter zone 3.

The three of us pile down at the bottom of the ladder after I run out and aggro everything. The Duelist decides he can take all 400 enemies charging the ladder and immediately goes down. Then I hear this screech over the mic in the squeakiest voice I've ever heard.

"YOU ****ERS BETTER PICK ME UP RIGHT NOW OR I'LL KICK YOU ALL!"

Of course none of us went to pick him up - I was personally trying to keep a fire wall and firestorm going from the bottom of the ladder while laughing at his(?) outburst. He heads into the fade then continues his onslaught.

I've met sailors with cleaner mouths than this kid.

The worst part was when he went down again in zone 4, then immediately against the dragon (landed on him LOL). He started screaming. Like that high pitched banshee type scream.

My emergency barrier sprung up as I was muting him.

Where were this kids parents?

That was the highlight of WTF moments of my day. How did everyone else do?

Looooooool pug life. :D

Just took down another perilous dragon, but this time when I lost connection to the session, it was as the dragon was doing its death spasm, no loot or XP. Still, can't complain, got that sweet dragon maul earlier. My record now stands at 10 perilous dragons killed, made it back to the lobby in 2 of those, the rest were post dragon kill CTDs or disconnects.

Two perilous demons pugs, two disasters. First one had an avvar and duelist just charging forward without helping to clear spawns trailing in the back. Sure, just run on ahead while three terrors rotate their stuns. Bailed on that one pretty quick.

Then the second group thought the zone 3 ladder cheese worked on demons. So that was a pretty quick stomp provided by the despair demons. Bonus points for the katari who thought his charging bull (from far away) > despair demon's freeze ray.

The victory chest earlier today completing my dragon weapons set was the only reason I'm not all too frustrated by pug life this evening.

I'm fairly certain this wouldn't have happened if I used banners, so people could instantly see how cool my mother thought I was.

Shame I cannot seem to find one that no one else ever uses.

I see no reason not to play Threatening when starting a lvl 1.   It just needs a little more care than normal.

What platform are you on? Least on PS3 it doesn't seem to be like this too much

That Katari might have been me, I've seen that situation once before. Enemies have LoS on the ladder from the zone start if they take the long way around. The group had no Alchemist, Assassin, or Hunter to approach from stealth. At least four Despair Demons with a 30-50 meter headstart against the rest of the group cowering in the corner next to the two doors with the ladder. Charging out for an (in)glorious death starts looking better than one might normally think.

Three inexperienced players on their first promotion but "high levels" are struggling, dying, not completing and see a "low level" enter the lobby. They don't know any better and just kick.  Happens all the time.  If at least one of them is slow I can often get in a quick, "Why the kick votes? I have the gear to carry this group on Threatening even at level 1"  some listen, some don't.

I'm still too old-fashioned and/or naive for Internet Country.

I think kicking players by voting them out is a terrible thing to do, except if they really just actively troll by not "playing the game" at all, or insulting everyone for no reason. Even with the first example, I always rather flip on the mic and tell them why some might be annoyed by them and see how they react, before voting to kick.

If I get one kick vote in a lobby I immediately leave and find another lobby.

Oddly I have never been kicked in DAMP. It was a fairly not odd occurrence in ME3MP. Frankly some days it is such an accomplishment to find a lobby that I am amazed anyone is getting kicked.
