Two rounds of perilous with a solid group, two wipes.

Zones 1-4 felt like threatening but then 5, close but not close enough.

Aunt Lagatha was visiting a couple of people though.

Got kicked in zone 3.

This was after a 5 minute strategy meeting in the lobby by the other 3, which I did not attend.

They then decided to try ordering me about, I was disinclined to acquiesce.

I then proceeded to annihilate every enemy all the way through 2 zones while they ****ed around with whatever the hell it was they doing back there.

Due to some lag, audio problems with comms made me unable to ascertain what they were saying but I don't think they were being complimentary.

Once I got back to the thing I sent each of them a friend request. No response was offered.

I lol'd heartily for 1 minute and 12 seconds.

Dropped into a match while playing as my Legionnaire for the Weekend Challenge.  Ended up being Threatening vs. Frosty the Snow Dragon.  I loaded into the match with a high-level Keeper as host, another slightly lower level Keeper, and a higher level Necromancer.  Had to fight through the Venatori mobs, but little issues beyond the host Keeper dropping a couple times and taking quite a bit of health damage for some reason.  Zone 3 was a bit tricky to get everyone to follow me to the treasure rooms so that the mobs could come to us, but they eventually caught on.  Zone 4 was trickier, since we ended up camping at the central bottleneck with the Venatori hammering us from all sides.  The host Keeper decided to go around to the route on the left, only to get taken down by a couple Zealots and an archer.  I cut them down and revived the Keeper before getting a large group of Zealots and archers on me.  Was a hell of a fight before the other Keeper and the Necromancer got the hint that maybe I could use some help.  Ended up camping in that area for the rest of the zone, me drawing as much aggro as I could.  Then there was the dragon.

Now, see, we'd been doing fairly well for the most part when we got to the gong, so I rang it.  The dragon itself....... well, the fight was painful.  Lag decided to set in and since I was the sole melee capacity in the party, I was always right underneath the dragon.  Of course, every single time the dragon moved, I'd get thrown all over the place.  It only got worse with the dragonlings.

The host went down twice in the fight (apparently none of the pugs realized that the safest place to be in the dragon fight is, ironically, right next to it) due to the dragon's vortex, the Necromancer soon following after 3 downs and the Keeper deciding it was apparently what they were supposed to do.  At this point, the dragon had about 50% health left.

Cue over a half hour of me chipping away at the dragon's health, millimeter by millimeter, with occasional interruptions by the dragonlings.  Finally, when the dragon was almost dead with only a sliver of health and nearly full Guard, and Assassin dropped in (the other Keeper apparently dropped out).  I was being swarmed by dragonlings and managed to kill almost all of them when the Assassin finally started moving.  The Assassin helped me finish off the last of the dragonlings before we both went to face the dragon.  For some reason, the Assassin decided that now would be the perfect time to prime a catapult (didn't bother with them considering how slowly it took me to kill each wave of dragonlings on my own) and, of course, as I'm hacking away at the dragon's legs, it starts doing its vortex attack.  Needless to say, the Assassin was dragged to death as a result, despite me signalling for them to come to me.  I managed to finally get through the dragon's Guard while the Assassin stayed there, bleeding out.  I was hoping that I could manage to kill off the dragon on my own before the Assassin bled out, but I eventually decided to go for the revive, popping a Walking Fortress right before I patched them up.

They managed to get 2 decent auto-attacks in before the Frosty swiped, instantly taking them down.  Several more swings of my axe later and the Frosty had fallen.  I celebrated my hard-won victory before loading back into the lobby.

I loaded back into the lobby and saw that the Assassin was level 19.  The host had apparently promoted and was now at level 1 and the Necromancer was still there.  After leveling up, I noticed that both the host and the Necromancer had readied up.  I left.  Wasn't dealing with that again...

So, reading through PUG stories, I get the impression that I may be a bit of a freak.

Seems most people despise and/or struggle against the Red Templar Commander and would much rather face the Demon Commander.

Meanwhile, I apparently live in Opposite World, where I actually rather enjoy fighting him and would LOVE to see Samson far more often than Butt Demon Commander and his little minor Butt Demon groupies. And it's not that I don't see Butt Demon Commander's telegraphs... I can mostly dodge him well enough. It's his green frickin' Butt Demon minions that manage to surprise and stun me for about 8 hours while 400 wraiths rain hell upon me every. single. f**king. time.

I wish I could trade sometimes. Y'all can have all the rest of my Demon games from here to eternity and you give me all your hated/unwanted Samsons and he and I will go have a nice little tea party over here in the corner.

I dislike them both equally.  Shadows and multiple despair demons are my most-hated enemies...

Though, none can top a hoard of archers spamming TrollShotTM.  Well, except the mighty druffalo, but that goes without saying.   ;)

Man these pugs. This weekend has created a lot of dps keepers that do not use barrier. At all...

They can't deal damage, can't support the group, can't take a hit. I can't believe people actually enjoy that playstyle!

At least I haven't seen any Guardless Legionnaires in a while.  Those guys make Barrierless Keepers look halfway decent...

I stumbled upon some interesting folks from North Carolina and New Jersey, on of whom kept talking to his dogs.  In our first game (threatening) they all died, and I managed to solo the lightening dragon which those who have stumbled upon me online know is quite the feat, as I am not the world's greatest MP player (this was only possible because I was playing a fairly high level AW).  After a few games I unlocked the Virtuoso, and given the way my fingers felt after the game, I've decided I like him less than most of the people I run into.  The buffs were nice, but I kind of started to feel like I was playing 90s version of Mortal Combat. I think I'm re-rolling with the traditional mage classes moving forward.

You are not alone.  The demon commander is the bane of my existence, especially when I roll with  Keeper or any other class that needs to keep at range.  The only big bad I'm happy to see in MP is the Ventori Commander.

Peri FC (again, I will get that bloody Greatsword to complete the set...) Terrible lag but decent team so decide to ring gong, starting zone 4, crash to desktop.. :( typical, but, for some weird reason manage to load back into the same game, (result, at least not wasted that dragon call..), I race in but can't even see the damn dragon, I then die from nothing, get revived, dragon is stuck inside the tower, then he is walking round in the air as if he is on the ground, very annoying match, kill him, Dragon Longsword..grrr...

Start my own lobby cause I don't understand why people with potato routers even consider hosting.. Normally I get joined by some people in any of the zones but I think everyone was either in other matches or spending gold so I just carry on, doing the Peri dragon on your own is hard work, the dragonlings were my only saving grace, without them my barrier generation and health restoration would probably have meant a trip to the fade.. 20 minutes later and the Dragon has a few % health left and here comes the cavalry, 1 AW, 1 Avvar and a Reaver..hmm, I would say thanks but you guys are a little late! I got...a damn Rune!  All that hard work on my own and I get a Rune, not even a purple one at that ..!?

Try again today I guess..

They're probably not aware of how bad it is, or the host leaves and they don't want to disband. I can normally host games without a problem, but there's occasionally one guy on the team who's clearly lagging. Bad hosts are probably more common than bad connections between two people, but it happens.

I've lost several Dragon's Calls to disconnects as well, and a lot of experience. It'd be nice if there was some kind of check to determine whether the user of the Dragon's Call actually killed a dragon, and xp should be saved after every zone, but I'm good at wishful thinking (and finding purple runes).

Just did a round of threatening with a level 8 necro for 3 zones, my level 15 Avvar carried.

Two more showed up, a 7 and 7 Lego/keeper.

I finish match with a personal best of 7567 points (with Avvar).

Host (the now level 11 Necro) switches to perilous. I gently extended my middle finger towards the screen and aborted the lobby.

I haven't quite got the damage output to be able to carry a round of perilous with an avvar. He needs HoK and at most 2 hit kills or less.

Had some good bad and inbetween games.  One especially grisly match was on threatening with my necro, had an 'offensive' ie barrier less keeper played a few waves, got through  them but the keeper got downed a few times,   An archer shows up and is an 'offensive' archer as in run ahead, draw aggro on him and gets pummeld.  About wave 4 the keeper headed to the fade, the archer playing with just a red sliver forever doesn't use any healing and goes down but only after activating the last spawn of the level.

They come after me and down I go, another player joins just at moment and i can see them doing the valiant run towards me, knowing a whole spawn is going to bslap them.  down  they go, game over.

With my new Longsword of the Dragon and Shield of the Emperor equipped, I wanted to see just how mighty my beloved Legionnaire could finally be with such badass equipment.

Stumbled upon a surprisingly awesome Perilous PUG group. Had a Keeper who made it his mission in life to keep me Barriered at all times, and a Duelist who was good about flanking and backstabbing all the critters I was tanking. The fourth spot rotated each match, but the three of us stuck together and basically three-manned for three straight Frost Dragon matches. We each used a Dragon's Call, to be fair, and it was awesome we did all this with zero mic communication - just paying attention to each other and puling our fair share when the opportunity arose.

Those were my first Perilous dragons, too. Got jack diddly squat from them - no purple cards whatsoever, much less Dragon weapons - but still had a good time feeling utterly invincible and like a valuable team contributor. There aren't a lot of kits I feel that way about on Perilous because I'm still pretty raw there, so felt sooooo gooood to play like a regular, reliable killer.

The team dispersed after the three in a row - which was good timing because I really needed a break anyway, but I was gonna stay and ride that dragon-slaying train for as long as they wanted - and the Keeper even sent me a message afterwards saying "thanks for the group".  <3

Wow, that felt good. Damn good. (And I sent him a thank you back because he was just a total bro healer/buffer teammate to my tank!)

Had some great threatening runs getting back up to perilous capable, but after three runs a level 9 joined with pathfinder, perilous banner, probably a billion promotions, etc etc. The group was good but they all voted to kick him right away. He wasn't kicked but left anyway. I expressed my disappointment on voice chat and left. Really need some sort of promotion shower or equipment viewer like ME3 had.

Two and a half rounds of perilous.

Don't want to talk about it.

Idiots running around everywhere. Not staying together. Rage quit.

None of them were ready, not sure what the host was thinking.

A few matches before that, a level 20 archer host ignoring treasure rooms on routine. Again, what the **** is the point?

You pugs are all racist.
