Last night I had a horrible perilous group...Virtuoso who I had played w once before.  He was garbage 2 weeks ago, and is still garbage.  No barriers, running off a lot, dying a lot...I left the group & went to threatening.

Joined mid way through.  At stage 3 FC a guy teleports all at the end before anyone could hit the gong.  2 guys were using mics (not teleport guy), so we partied up.  They were only interested in dragons, so we left him to fight alone to start fresh.  He must have died fast as he popped up in our new lobby...and was booted.

Myself and one of the others generally run perilous.  Other guy's buddy just got the game so he was running lower difficulty.  The 4th that popped in also is fairly new w just 2 character promos.  We partied up and ran 4 threatening matches...gave the new guys some advice on builds, shot the s***...good times.

We decided to give perilous a go.  I used the virtuoso while the other veteran used AW.  The new guys used ele & archer.  New guys were awesome.  They stuck to me like glue for barriers all around.  1 guy dropped fighting the dragon mostly due to some lag (my bard kept getting sent into the air).  The dragon was at a sliver of health and the game wouldn't let us revive our downed guy.  We still won, but should have been 4 standing at the end, not 3.

TL/DR: Even with a couple low levels/promos/gear on your team, perilous can be done with good teamwork and communication.

I rarely find PUG on pc where people talk...and I'm kinda grateful for that.

I think I was on threatening fighting demons , anyway we get the torch event , at one point I pick up the torch , and I sort of got lost and lead us into a dead end.

Yeah I know I should have looked at the mini map , but in theory it's quite hard to get lost ...

That's when one guy who was playing an Isabela started talking A LOT (He was speaking French , ) , anyway this guy goes on and on :"OMG this guy is such an imbecile ah ah".

Great.

He spend the whole match critisizing everyone and laughing.

Of course things couldn't get much better , I sort of  killed the Keeper by accident.

I had the demon boss on me , I just fade step to get some barrier and get away , I landed on the Keeper who was barely alive , the demon commander followed me.Dead keeper.

French guy was having a blast ,laughing to tears and saying I murdered the Keeper....

Anyway we didn't wipe , the only small victory was beating him at the score board.

I didn't have my mic on but I really feel like plugging it in and scream "TA GUEULE!!!!!"

I made a huge mistake.

I was running an assassin against Red Templars in Elven Ruins.  The rest of my team stayed in the middle level between the two staircases where the flag was placed and proceeds to go down. I decided to cloak, kill an enemy on the farthest edge of the map, cloak and repeat until it's just me and the RTC.  I was keeping my distance when not in stealth, then would use twin fangs or hidden blades when one cooled down.  After a bit of this, I had him down to a sliver of health, when he started to take a potion and die, so I went to the fridge for a second and came back to an operation failed screen.  I could have sworn he was entering his death animation.  Waiting three more seconds to see him shrink and die would have been smart.

If they are jerks or obnoxious I'll mute them...unless they are garbage, then I'll just leave for a new group.

Most of the people I talk to are pretty cool folks.

Took a level 1 Keeper to Routine.  Met up with a level 20 AW and level 19 Katari.  And proceeded to outscore them.

The scoring in this game is so out of whack it is nearly meaningless imo.

I was 1 short on my weekend challenge so I thought I could just do a quick routine match to get that last one.

Quick match > Hits a lobby for routine FC. This is not exactly what I was looking for (not fast) but I ready up. There are 3 people in the lobby but the leader doesn't ready up. I sit there for at least 3 minutes with me and the other guy readied up. I get antsy and leave.

Quick Match again > OC map this time. This time there is just the leader in the match. I ready up, it was a lvl15 templar with mid range banner (I think it was fir kills or something) He doesn't ready. We get more people trickle in and and ready up but he doesn't ready. After a couple minutes I get antsy and leave.

Quick Match again > OC map again. I'm the 3rd to jump in the lobby. I ready up, wait. The other guy readies up, and we wait for the leader. after a minute a 4th jumps in and readies up. The leader still doesn't ready up. We wait another minute and the moment I start to move my finger to kick vote he readies up and we start.

We tore through, I got my chest and quit out of DAMP.

I think in the future I'll just start my own lobby and let people trickle into my game in progress. It's way to frustrating to wait for other people to ready up in their own lobbies. >.<

Ok. so 2 pug bashing posts in one day, but this happened. Twice. This guy didn't join a minute before we finished. He did 2 whole runs with us, this was his best score.

I was wondering why you didn't do this as I read your stories. It is what I do, even on perilous. Granted, I'm more willing to solo perilous, or make a sandwich after I start the game.

@graythegeek - it was with no small amount of trepidation that I scrolled down. Whew, I didn't roll a lego this week!   :P

I was going to give him credit for living, but with that score, was he just that bad, or that lazy?  smh

I enjoyed some recent Threatening FC PUGs.

That's a lie, it was terrible.

I usually only Perilous FC, but figured I'd get the threatening dragon challenge.

I finally found out about this "gong dance" you are all talking about though. Holy Sh*t.

I exited at the gong 3 times in a row because the jerkoffs in Threatening were such scrubs I wasn't going to waste a dragon call to help them and solo the dragon for them. Threatening FC PUGs have to be made up of some of the most horrible skill level and general manners players I've ever seen.

Sweet baby Jesus.

Never entering that hellhole again. I'll just duo with a friend.

Had this genius today that ran ahead while we were clearing a treasure room. He was waiting there for us to clear the revenant to go ahead. Good for now? Well, think again. He waits for us to kill the revenant then immediately opens the door before we were able to collect the treasure.

As a small token of revenge, at the next wave (extraction) I ran around the flag area for a minute before going in as a way of revenge. I think the others understood (considering they didn't kick me  ).

Dunno if this counts, because I didn't actually play the game, but I thought it was funny. I join a perilous lobby as a necro with 2 duelists and a virtuoso. The first duelist, who is the host, says "man, get the F*ck out of here. Why would you join a game as a duelist, when I'm already a duelist? What's wrong with you?" The other duelist puts on his mic and says, "B*tch." Then he leaves. The whole thing was so WTF I burst out laughing.

Just had my worst damp game ever.

Storm dragon perilous as an elementalist, slog it out with an AW, zither and a reaver who died fast.  I as usual used the dragon call.  Had the old game slow down and the last wave was worse than hideous and never ending.  I should have quit then but i stuck it out only to go for the dragon level and getting Fing Narnia.  i manage to get up the hill to the game area and can only see the dragon and my team mates.  I should have quit then.  I stick it out and play on keeping alive working on the dragon and barrriering when I can.

The dragon is 3/4 dead and i get bumped off a cliff back to the start area but now there is no way back up, no way to join the fight or die or anything.  I finally quit the damn game after at least a half hour and problably more of boring garbage, slow down crap mode and then Narnia.

I better find another game to work on, will have to get the witcher i guess.  Some of these bugs such as narnia are totally inexcuseable when they have the lame policy of no exp if you leave early.  Just plain and utter bull ****.

1. Ouch (to your post in its entirety).

2. I've only found Narnia once, but the bugs and wasted games are a large part of why I'm getting tired of the game, so I agree on the bull.

To be fair, multiple duelists can be annoying due to the fact that vendetta marks can be consumed by any of them (I just let the other duelist go for primary targets while I take secondary ones). Still, that's some grade A whining you witnessed. The main complainants should be the non-duelists, since they'll barely get the chance to kill anything.

While I'm on the topic: screw the duelist who used Broadsides on the cluster of archers I vendetta'd.

Ran a four reaver party to finish the MP challenge.

Aint no party like a Reaver party.

Mostly we all waited for a mob to get into range, hit Rampage and:

I can totally understand wanting to kick level 1's...

However, if said level 1 is hosting, isn't it easier to just, I don't know, not join the game?
