Did a couple Threatening duos with a guy from Brazil. Took me a bit to realize he had a mic (was listening to Linkin Park at the time) and he was so intent on getting me to promote my level 20 characters (Keeper and Archer specifically, though I never pulled out my level 20 Arcane Warrior, so I still got him) so I decided to go ahead with it.
Anyway, back to the duos. He was playing as a level 19 Arcane Warrior (not a very good one, I might add) and I was using my Keeper, spamming Barrier the entire time. Ended up getting demons twice and extracted both times.
Then I switched to my Archer (tbh, he was telling me to promote but I thought he was telling me to switch to a rogue due to his heavy accent) and barely made it to the last zone. Of course, it was demons yet again and we ended up wiping.
On the upside, I realized that the Keeper is great at surviving zone 5 against demons if you have Fade Cloak. ![]()

Some people shouldnt play Perilous. Some people shouldnt even play threatening.
I finished Greataxe challenge (strangely enough the game REVERTED that last 20 kills and I no longer have a portrait) and switched to Sundering. Ran into some braindead PUG assassin who attracted all the archers in the wave and led them to the rest of the team while we were dealing with a Revenant.
Made me rage at that moron.

Unexpected.
Had a few threatening games with a pug group last night where one guy started playing rather loud music at the beginning of wave 5. Obnoxious, right? Well there's a twist- he was playing some classic Iron Maiden. Slaying demons becomes a helluva lot more intense with The Trooper blasting in the background.

Trolling.
I dropped into a match in progress. The party composition was a lvl 18 Lego, a level 10 archer, and a level 8 keeper on threatening. So me and my AW drop into the match, and I find the archer and keeper in the fade with the Lego standing over their dead bodies with the entire tile's worth of demons blasting away at him. I wade in with my AW and after a pitched battle kill all the demons. Mr. Lego, on the other hand, stood still and shield walled the entire time. A little odd, but that's how some bad players try to use sword & board warriors so I wasn't really concerned. Then on the next section, the Lego takes off and starts running through the map aggroing all the enemies, then bringing them back to the group. That's when it occurred to me the little bastard was trolling. CHALLENGE ACCEPTED. I killed demons as fast as he could pull them, not letting anybody go down until the boss fight. The troll occupied the first minute of the boss fight trying to get trash mobs to kill the other two players, so i put a dent in the enemy numbers and did some damage to the DC. Then after he succeeded in killing the other players, he started taunting the DC, then trying to sneak up behind me and get the DC to groundfk me. I kept an eye on him and started dodging whenever he ran toward me (better than the smoke, lol) and hacking away. Finally, all the mobs are done, and the DC is at low health. I am at 1 health, my guardian spirit on cooldown. I kill the DC by reflecting his range attack with spirit blade. I text the troll, "better luck next time" and leave the lobby satisfied.
People like that are awesome. My find used to blast out don't stop me now by Queen on the last lap of a race on GT lolUnexpected.

I think you might have read in to all that a little too much. How does one make mobs kill other players? Maybe he was just really really bad/new. Good story anyway. Would have been better without the AWTrolling.

No I'm 99% sure he was trolling. He was level 18 with the Lion shield and tier 2 armor, and I'm fairly sure he never swung his weapon. And it's easier than you might think to get mobs to attack other players, if you aren't generating threat (ie never attacking anything) the mobs will only attack you until your taunt runs out, then they will attack the nearest threat. And 100% honest here, I am nowhere near good enough to solo threatening with anything but AW ![]()
Got to run a couple of games with a good group.
Everybody cooperated on the treasure rooms (no spamming stupid "Over here!" nonsense.) Everyone filled their role nicely. The elementalist was doing particularly well, and I managed to level my Assassin up to the point where Flank Attack sends me into stealth (when it doesn't bug out) and: me likey.
As a Reaver you kind of have to commit don't you.
With two Keepers in the party, an occasional Barrier would be kind, though I try not to need one.
Keeper barriers me when the key has dropped and we're heading to the font room...

The Assassin is just so much fun, especially when you unlock I was never here. Congrats on the game sadly, I have been getting terribad teammates lately.Got to run a couple of games with a good group.

It goes up and down. This was a particularly good group. I do find that when I play the assassin, a good group is very helpful (or, at least, a good tank.)
Got paired up in Orlais/Threatening with a nice pair of semi-experienced players** who worked together, and didn't seem like they were just out to raise their scores.
Then we got joined with a fourth guy, an AW, who merrily contributed to the stereotype. Rushed ahead, pulled large crowds while we were checking out a treasure room, and apparently only took the fact, that we barely caught up and saved his behind a few times (including revival), as a hint that this group dynamic is working just fine. The Lego turned out to be a fairly capable tank; otherwise the guy would have had us killed in at least two instances. After we finished, I saw he was lvl 20, while the rest of us was between 8-12. If you're playing to win this hard, why not tackle Perilous; or just play solo Routine and have the escort guy cheer you on?
**(Judging by the fact they didn't rush everywhere, or maybe they were just curious and lazy like me. I gladly adjusted. Poor map designers get no credit)

At stories like this, I always just wonder why someone even bothers to put so much effort towards this instead of trying to play normally. If there at least was a Challenge for wiping....
me (necro), two lego's and a very squishy yet determined to get all the kills assassin... first two rooms i was like "have fun mister squishy" then i got bored and decided to play with him. so i'd see him run for a kill so in i go with virulent walking bomb + winter's chill combo and the explosions were glorious. Think he got peeved so he decided to speed thru room 4, room 5 he was dead and in the fade in about 2mins.
I played on a host who was templar lvl18 on routine who religiously insisted on not opening the zone door and activating the fountain so that we can get free extra healing. It actually was not so bad in the first game and we got full extraction. In the second game he then was running every zone back to the unused fountain which was extra minute. Eventually, one of the pug people got bored with that and opened the door before he was able to run all the way back. "I have enough of this ****", says the host and quits. Some people just must get this freebie and if they are denied it, they rage. Host migration did not happen as my game crashed. Actually, a pity because he was a very good host essentially lag-free. He insisted on me being rogue and opening the locked door to the next level as he thought it is a treasure room. No biggie, I prefer that than everyone dieing on zone 2 and laggy lag all the way.
In another silver game I had host migration 6 times! I think, this might be a record. Finally it ended on me being the host. We actually had full extraction but "there was an error retrieving data from DA servers" and I did not get no money or items. Still got experience though. In this case, I fully sympathize with the servers, they have done an excellent job actually.
Ran into my first level 19 Arcane Warrior in Routine... he was 1-shotting bosses! xD
My level 6 Reaver still managed to get 35 kills towards the challenge, tho'.
I was busy recording and not paying attention to my last several PuGs, for the most part, but I did run into one of those Rambo Reavers that runs ahead, while everyone else is checking Treasure Rooms. Naturally, he died... a lot.
I also tried the Keeper for the first time, and I think I'm officially slightly-above-scrub material as far as Routine goes, now. I was the last one standing against a Demon Commander three times, and not for lacking of casting Barrier on my teammates. It might have been having only 2 powers at level one making it easy to keep track of one of them, but I certainly couldn't help but wonder why most Keepers I run into rarely cast Barrier, since it doesn't seem to me like the cooldown on it is that long.
