How do you tell about a bugged/exploited lobby before the game starts? Heck i pay so little attention to gold and exp in game now that the only time I realize i have been in a double exp game is after the match.

If the leader of the party is the second player and not the first which indicates the host left. Unfortunately this can also happen regularly and not mean the lobby is glitched. Only 100% way to tell is if you get double kills/killstreaks or you see double gold pickups.

I think my husband got quick matched into one last night and the gold/xp messages flashed twice for every pot/kill. Not sure how to tell before the match starts though.

Not gonna get banned for it anyway so what's the use wasting effort to determine if you're in a glitched lobby

we could have a teabagdome.
In that situation, I'd rather be... neither of those guys.

Was leveling up my Hunter on Threatening and I ran into an Arcane Warrior who seemed to be struggling to stay up. There was no warrior in the lobby (me, another Hunter, an Elementalist, and the Arcane Warrior), so it ended up mostly being me and the Elementalist tanking (more-so me, though). After a few more matches, I got my Hunter to level 20 and switched over to my level 1 Keeper. Ended up staying up the entire match until a point at zone 5 where I was getting swarmed by archers and Red Templars and the Elementalist had gone elsewhere (the Arcane Warrior was in the Fade and the Hunter was down). The Elementalist picked me up, though the Hunter ended up in the Fade as well, but we easily finished off the last of the mobs. Got to level 8 and upgraded Barried and put points in to get Guardian Spirit and Clean Burn. 2 matches later, I was level 14 and the lobby had split.
I left and went into another Threatening match with a mid/high-level Templar, a mid-level Elementalist, and a mid-level Archer. We were going through the match and I decided to take on the last mob in zone 3 (Tevinter Ruins) on my own while everyone else went back for the doors (mage and warrior doors). I cleared the mob fairly easily, but more mooks kept spawning. Easily took them down as they appeared, and at the end of it, I had a 32 killstreak.
Well, I was really keeping track of how many enemies were spawning, and they had been spawning for a few minutes, so that seemed sort of realistic to me. I shrugged it off and we went through zone 4 with little issue. Zone 5 appears and I stick with the Archer, keeping him Barriered while I kill things fairly quickly. At the end of the match, I had gotten a 48 killstreak. ![]()
At first, I thought, "Damn, the Scepter of Razikale is OP on Threatening." But then, I got to the scoreboard screen. It showed me go from level 14 to level 16, but it said that I was a level 18 Keeper. "Well, that can't be right."
I go to check and sure enough, I had 4 skill points ready and waiting to be spent. Looks like I found my first glitched lobby. Spent the points to get and upgrade Disruption Field and Static Cage before deciding to stay around for 1 more match so I could get my Keeper to level 20. One match later, I was level 20, so I used my skill points to get a couple passives and dropped out of the lobby.
Afterwards, I switched over to my Templar and played a few Threatening matches with a friend of mine, getting her to level 13. I have Hakkon's Honor on her, and for some reason, Unbowed keeps proccing but it almost never gives me any Guard. The Walking Fortress proc works just fine, but Unbowed almost never works. It annoyed the hell out of me.
Anyway, off to pug Perilous as my Templar. ![]()

Three times in a row, a guy decided it was a good idea to open the doors in FC while we haven't even cleared half the wave yet. I mean, 8 despair demons are not hard enough for you? You need a surprise arcane horror too?

Yeah, that sucked... Wish our glorious leader would have left him to die rather than chase after him.

I want to live the dream of being a developer that makes a game where people play at least 40mins, sometimes over an hour, just to get 101 gold and a bandit tower shield.
Even salvaged hakkon sword to bump up the probably-just-a-lie-to-our-faces chances from 2% to 4%. Bioware being bioware, I bet the next drop I get the night before Andromeda releases will be the sword.

My last PUG was my first, real honest-to-God carry.
Somehow, I'd ended up one chest short of the agent goal for this weekend's challenge. So, I determine to run one Threatening match and be done with it. When three rogues show up to the party, I switch to my barely-played Reaver for giggles and sh*ts. Unless the game trolls us and makes all the treasure rooms mage doors, I'm golden.
Then everyone dies early Zone 3. I decide I'd rather face the dragon than the army of Zone 5 normal boss, so I use a Dragon's Call (also ended up finally being my 15th Threatening dragon, so that challenge is done now). Then on Zone 4, predictably, everyone dies early again. Despite my spamming "come here" a few times to try and encourage them over to the funneling room, but they much preferred dying on the stairs.
Now, bear in mind I was nice and revived most of these folks the first two times they all went down. By the time my video picks up (the last 15 minutes of the match), they're on their last lives so it's pointless. Video is Zones 4 and 5 and basically is a solo with scrubby gameplay and a scrubby Reaver build because I dunno what the hell I'm doing with Tamar. ![]()
But I found it a bit amusing. Low promotions, too, because I'm a weekend warrior. Constitution 24, Willpower 24, Cunning 18. And no, I still have no Superb HoK ring, but at least I have dragon weapons, so that helps immensely. ![]()

Pugged most of the day then bumped into a pal on my FL, nice smooth leveling up games on threat. But before I bumped into him I landed in my first double xp/gold glitch perilous lobby. Didn't realise what was going on till I cracked open my first treasure chest, so umm yeah by that point I joined on wave 3 so I saw it out. Quickly exited the lobby after extraction. I'm just surprised it took this long to land in one, I pug ALOT.

I had a weeeird Pug match today. I had a ~17 lvl AW and couldn't find a Perilous match to join, so I joined a Threatening one instead to grind out my last few levels. Everyone was in their teens - should be a sleepwalk, right? I was being hammered left and right!
Backstab - downed. Rounded a corner and insta-killed by an archer(s?). One-shot by the VC.
Admittedly my play was sloppy as hell as I was trying to eat during it, but still... it was like I'd mistakenly entered NM+ match.
Next matches (same, Venatori), breeze through them without a scratch.

Last PUG wiped on Ferelden Castle Round 3, Perilous. Everyone left, one guy gave everyone a lot of crap about it. This is actually the first time I've encountered particular assholes on DA:I, but I end up with really bad anxiety playing multiplayer games because of this sort of thing. I was basically over DA:I anxiety because of never running into it, but regardless I'm probably done for the night...

Last PUG: ran into someone from FL at 9 AM. It wouldn't have been weird except we said bye about 8 hrs ago before he went to sleep. Now he know I stayed up to play through out the night.

I actually really like talking to people, though I only open up my mic when other people start talking first (they're probably waiting for someone else to do the same, but). Generally I don't have a ton of social anxiety, but multiplayer games bring it out because I'm afraid of doing poorly and being judged. In the case of a party wipe, it's not like I'm the only one who went down, though... and I went down while trying to res someone. But still.
Maybe the guy you were playing with just thinks you went to sleep, too.

It can really get frustrating when your team is incompetent, though. You need to just acknowledge where the guy is coming from and either block him/dont play with him or perhaps maybe learn something from him, depending on whether or not he's one of the people who talk **** and can't back it up.
