Been seeing more and more unpleasant people in PUGs lately... I never saw them, ever, until recently. I don't know what would have changed... I've also been having really glitchy games tonight, without all sorts of things going wrong. Like, intense lag that takes minutes before it'll snap you back some place/open a door/chest, that sort of thing.

Finally a good match for my last match of the day. Before bed I got my SS up to 17 and decided to do one last match. It was after 3am and I jump into Nightmare Frost dragon. Empty lobby. I wait......empty. Well screw it, I may as well just try it and probably die and go to bed. I run in and see demons.....not so bad, may actually work out. As I am clearing out the first spawn a lvl 18 templar shows up. Well this just got easier. We turn the corner and in popps another lvl 19 templar and shortly after a lvl 18 reaver. Everyone had decent gear and knew what they were doing and went nice and quick for a nightmare match anyway. Only 1 death when the reaver got knocked down repeatedly on room 4. Got crap for loot but at least the run went smooth for a change. Normally when I go into a nightmare solo people decide to bring in low levels and under equipped characters trying to leach. Thankfully that was not the case this morning.

Wow. The dragon still bugs out and becomes unkillable if a mistimed killing-blow trebuchet hits as she takes off. To be fixed in patch 15? 20?
Patch Never, probably.

Stupid people never fail to amaze me. I promote most of my characters and I decide to do a couple of threatening levels so that I don't bring level 1s to perilous. Truth is that I can play most of them on peri too but I like to be courteous to fellow pugs and that's why I usually do one threatening first. Anyway, I run a few games with some nice people - they are good, open rooms, revive each other (and actually mostly don't die). I outscore them but that's because Threatening is easy peasy even on l1 with the best gear and some promotions under your belt. Sadly, I have to leave them because I have to do some stuff around the house.
I log on now and join an threatening lobby. People look ok but suddenly I see a kick vote on me and then I am kicked.
I haven't been kicked out of Threatening for l1s since the armor upgrade and even before it happened like 2 times. Those pugs suck.
And the sad part is that they'd have a nice easy game but noooo, let's kick l1s.

That reminds me of my yesterday's pug. I was running with a group. After one person left, lvl1 archer joins. I think, no problem.
But then I see kick vote #1 on archer... Okaaay... Kick vote #2. At this point I was delaying it as much as I could. Acher left before being kicked, but I don't think I would be able to add that #3 vote ![]()

I don't l1s either, even on Peri.
Now, NM is a different thing because the number of people that will actually be useful in NM for the team is pretty small, mostly leaderboaders. But if I could carry on NM, I bet I wouldn't mind playing with l1s there too.

It'd be nice to be able to see other players promotes in Lobbies (or some kind of ranking based on those promotes) to know if the LL person joining you will be able to handle themselves or not. I've seen whole groups with levels in their mid-teens die in Threatening FC before even reaching the dragon, so I can kinda understand if there are PUGs who are gunshy about bringing in a L1, especially if it's one they don't know...

I understand too, but it's also lack of communication on their part. Had they asked on the mic or let me explain myself on mine instead of insta kicking, they would know. ![]()

Joined a UK peri pug (since it's still pretty early for US) on reaver. Load in and lol there's already two red skulls on the minimap. A lv20 templar is at the end of the zone, I arrive and help cleanup the few remaining mobs. Key drops and the templar beelines back toward a door, spamming F4 along the way.
I stand there thinking to myself, dude (1) we're both warriors you don't need help opening the door (2) you're lv20 you should be okay...
Templar couldn't stop spamming F4 though, so by the 10th signal, I bailed.

Ran into a Necro that loved to use Blizzard on everything. Pot? Blizzard. Treasure door? Blizzard. Team mates? Blizzard. One Hyena? Blizzard. Well, there you go you finally found an enemy to use that on!

Reminds me of that one Lego in an Elven and later FC threatening PUG with me as host. He kept spamming F4 on his way to the door and I kept wishing I had a mic ![]()

Also had a funny-****** moment in a Perilous FC match this morning. Wave 5 I'm sauntering around like an idiot waiting for the dragon to land... and of course no one rang the gong so the rest of the party is getting blasted at the flag site... Oops. ![]()
(we got through it in the end, so it was all good)
But, who doesn't ring the gong on Perilous?!?

I can only think of two reasons:
1. Nobody had a Dragon Call
or
2. Everyone already had all their Perilous dragon kills done for their challenges, didn't care about contributing to the community weekend challenge (or it was already done by then), so they opted for getting more XP by fighting the "normal" Zone 5 boss fight instead.

I had an over-eager player yesterday open the treasure door in the middle of Wave 4 FC, release a Revenant they couldn't handle, who promptly joins the fray outside and starts working the rest of us (starting with me...). ![]()

I had one last dragon call... but I got teleported.
But if you're getting more XP with minions, then... alright, I can see it. Though, I think that may have been the 2nd time ever I've seen a group not summon the dragon on Perilous...

Reminds me of that one person playing Avvar that opened the door and couldn't handle even standard guardians. Since two other players were doing pretty well, I went back to deal with that room (and help our Avvar friend).
What's funny - it wasn't one time thing.

Guilty. At this point, I don't gain anything from doing it. If I'm playing with a friend who needs or prefers dragons, I don't mind alternating gong duty with them. In pugs, though, I just give the other guys a chance to ring the gong before advancing.

Why'd you leave the game!? I recall you being not level 20 and while my friends and I were chain jumping down to the bottom of the stairs to eventually die to fall damage the drakes spawned allowing us to die. You missed the XP by leaving ![]()

Had a group actually say "ugh, it's a level 1 legionnaire" and I said " I believe I'll be able to handle it" -- they didn't kick; smooth game.
