They just figure you got sucked into the Fade.

Huh. I actually knew a stripper named "Fade" several years back...in which case they wouldn't have been far wrong.

Does that even count as a PUG game by that point?  Sounds more like pick up, minus the group.   :P

And it went more smoothly than most.

Hmm... maybe I'm on to something.

Wipe (intentional).

Tried to get a couple of games in cos I woke up early, and I realised during the final game it was time to start getting ready for work. We got to zone 5, and I the others got downed early. I didn't bother to try reviving or solo the zone. Sorry guys.

In my last PuG, I had some lovely "Over here!" spammers, whom I have now reached the point of habitually ignoring.

It was Demons, so of course when we reach Zone 5, they immediately start spamming "Over here!" and "Fall back!" from The Room™. Not only do I have no interest in fighting the Demon Commander in a tiny room with three other people getting OSK'd at the same time as me, but I am now refusing to listen to anyone who spams "Over here!" anyway.

So I fight the rest of the faction while they repeatedly all get downed in the little room against the DC. Even though I'm taking on 3 times as many opponents by myself without going down, they somehow never clue in that mobility is a better survival tactic than "trapped in room."

Of course, I can't solo a DC, and eventually I had to, so that put a fairly quick end to things (even though I had cleared about 75% of the enemies we needed to.) Once back in the lobby, I had 2 kick votes on me.

Ah, PuGs. I suck, but not as bad as they did. :P

If it makes you feel better....last time we played against demons, demon commander got stuck somewhere on the map and never reached us, so we cleared everything else. The pug bled out and we were left, three friends, to finish ONLY the commander. We wiped. On threatening, lol.

Terrible game - Joined an ongoing game with a bunch of moronic pugs. One kept running off on his own, going into treasure rooms and getting downed. I had to clear a few rooms as a result. They started putting kick votes and refused to revive me when I did eventually go down despite the fact tbat I had saved them a number of times. From then on I refused to revive them and just let myself get killed so I could get out of the game as quickly as possible

You would have loved it, we had an ele spamming firestorm, a necromancer who didnt use walking bomb and assassin who refused to use stealth

A lot of Elementalists and Necromancers still do not know that large area effects like Firestorm and Blizzard are a primary cause for the no-key bug.

Loaded into a game in progress, and arrived just in time to see that they were stuck because of the key bug. Then I lost connection to the session.

I'M SO GLAD I DOWNLOADED THE DLC GUYZ

Yeah, I definitely have to stop PuGing Threatening. Even my highest armour characters are killed in one or two hits from any enemy.

Well I finally had a game reminiscent of being the only non infiltrator in a group from ME3 mp.

I was a keeper the other two players were assassins.  I totally got my ears boxed on all waves.  It seems, as I expected that BioWare has used the same dynamic for hide in shadows as they did for tac cloak, essentially meaning any non cloaking character has a bulls eyes on their ass from the start of the game to the end.

I've only ever seen elementalists do it with Firestorm and wall of fire

Actually doing well in a Threatening PuG (made it to the end of Zone 4) and naturally... KEY GLITCH

Why, oh why did I ever install the DLC? Oh right, because a friend asked me to.

WHY DO I LISTEN TO MY FRIENDS  :crying:

Inspired by CrimsonN7's ME 3 MP Thread.

And by "inspired," I mean blatantly stolen! photo-thumb-789135.png?_r=1412192922

Traditionally, one is supposed to describe the PuG in one word, but over in the ME 3 MP forums, we were pretty bad about actually following that rule...

If you're not familiar with the expression:

PuG is Pick-up Game, originally. I believe it comes from street basketball/street hockey and other such gatherings. It basically means that you just grab all the nearest players and start the game.

In the world of online gaming, and in the world of ME 3 MP, in particular, PuG has also come to mean "Pick-up Gamer," or one of those nearest players that you just grab for the game, i.e. it basically means any random gamer that you just meet and immediately jump into a game with.

Of course, this won't be happening for at least a month (unless there's an early MP demo release, like with ME 3, but I have the impression that there are no plans for that.)

Personally, it's been a while since I played an MP game as a complete beginner. Even after a six-month break, I still have a solid handle on ME 3 MP's higher difficulties, but DAMP is going to be my first "fish out of water" MP experience in almost 2 years.

I'm sort of looking forward to being a newb carried by random strangers online, again.

THIEF!!! :P

This just popped up on my newsfeed right now lol I wasn't aware this was a thing here. Carry on, I must get around to playing DAMP at some point but that SP though.

yeah, maybe stop listening to them.  :)

after feeling I'd turn green and smash stuff after many no key drops, uninstalled DLC, and whew... glad I did.  hope they fix it soon though because I really did enjoy the map variations and additions of animals n such.

Just say NO to elementalists.

I wish I could accept Elementalists into my life with the DLC downloaded.

But the truth is, every game in which I got the key bug, there was an Elementalist spamming the big meteor shower power.

I wish the key bug was fixed just by the elementalist leaving. I always feel bad when the leader has to suffer because of them.

There is a plenty of instances when there is no elementalist but glitch is still there. I had it yesterday in solo with AW and I did not have PotA specced yet. And I've seen a glimpse of that dog bugging in the doorway, rushed to kill it but it was already gone by the time I got there.

Also, host does not have to leave the game. He can just disconnect from the internets or go offline in Origin. Not sure, but I think I got the experience back when I did that, at least some part of it that went through heartbeat to DA server before the glitch. That's on PC though, not sure about the consoles.

I have been scaring people turning up with my Ele today in the Threatening lobbies.

Not had a kick once.

It is however, my 100% non-AoE build Elementalist.

(and no key glitches)
