So I've only played maybe 3 games today, my last was a wipe...

perhaps I'll play another game or two or just watch some Netflix instead. I'm very meh about this weekend challenge tbh. I should buy a diary.

I rarely talk, having four kids running around my house, but I was in a T-Pug and the players were chatting about how to get the cross class combo easiest. I hadn't heard them mention Luka, who I was playing so I turned on my mic and relayed the glorious message about Luka.

A match later they wanted to switch to Nightmare for a Dragon run, I was like I'm LOW PROMOTES! I've only been playing this summer. Then I offered to drop out of the lobby so they could fill it with a more capable player. They were like NO WORRIES. However even on Nightmare the great RNGeesus only gifted me with a Common. Fun though and they were a good group of people.

Joined a game as my Hunter during a Veilfire event, and the team went down before I reached the area where they were fighting. I couldn't make out which enemies were hiding in the fog as I approached, but I felt confident I could salvage the situation. As I took a moment to plant Fallback Plan, I heard the unmistakable sound of Bolters.

 

I laughed all the way back to the lobby.

My last pug last night.......bolters.  EOL.

 

I thought by hitting my fade cloak i would be invulenerable for a second to get off my pull of the abyss.   They just laughed at me as they said in unision 'Let me introduce you to my little friend.'

 

Oh as an aside, have they upped the aggro on perilous again?  Last numb er of games enemies seem very aggressive, especially if you are pulling a solo to start the game.

I was running a few Nightmare dragons last night with a friend and a couple pugs. They were pretty solid, so after a few Dragon kills I asked them if they would like to do some Heartbreaker. Their answer was an immediate "YES".

I picked a Lego, my friend had a level 10 Reaver, and the pugs brought a Reaver and a Silent Sister. We get Red Tramplers, and make it through to zone 5 with minimal issues (other than me exacting some revenge on my friend who kept flattening us with Mighty Blow and murdering us with Dragon Rage the other night. EAT COUNTERSTRIKE, YOU TEAMKILLER!).

We place the flag and run to the place we chose to defend. Everything is going fine... until the supercharged Horrors show up. Even with a sprit resistance tonic, everyone else drops like flies. Not me though. I sat in the middle of that red-lyrium shower just cycling Walking Fortress and Counterstrike while my teammates left and rejoined.

Rejoin Round 1:
Players join back in, walk into the moshpit of Horrors swarming me, immediately die, and bleed out before the others can make it back in to revive.

Rejoin Round 2:
Players rejoin, I am tanking too close to the door and they get melted on rejoin.

Rejoin Round 3:
Players rejoin and are stuck in wall.

Rejoin Round 4:
VICTORY! All in all, I tanked that group of Horrors and Demon Commanders for about 15 minutes.

Side-note: Shield Bash 1-hit-kills Red Templar Guards through their shields. 38K crits!

Just played with a most thoroughly unpleasant human.  I decided to take a low level, five, Templar into a threatening match to work on mace kills.  Joined up with a group headed by a level 20 Arcane Warrior.  He had already put a kick vote on one of the other players, a level 2 assassin.  Then on me.  We continue to play through against the darkspawn, not too many problems.  When we finished zone 3 he went straight to the gong and spammed F4.  Which me and everyone else completely ignored.  I hit the door for Zone 4 and got cussed out, in Spanish.  And yes, I know what puta means.  We end up clearing zone 4 with only him and I standing upright.  However, we wipe in zone 5, he falls first, in a tirade of cuss words.  Me laughing.  Back to the lobby he is still spinning some beautiful Spanish.  Normally I am happy to ring the gong for people, but not this guy.

Puts red skulls on people, then expects them to spend prescious resources for him. In Threatening. Wow.

Doesn't this guy know that the host is the only one responsible for spending Dragon Calls? Everyone I play with seems to know this.

4th was a perma fade virtuoso 17. Every zone. Poor guy.

He probably got a Hakkon....

Doing perilous, some guy joins. Proceeds to afk for three waves. Tried to kick, the one other guy didn't know or didn't want to. Afk goes down on wave 4. So, lacking any real options, I go to teabag him. You know, for justice. I immediately get downed by a shadow. ****** karma.

During a run of P-Pugs I ran into a neat Templar with Fade Cloak on one of her weapons, the shield I think. The player was good and polite too. In that group however was a Luka being controlled by a very young kid, which was obvious because the mic was on. The kid's Dad was coaching and on that it was the most adorable thing to listen to ever.

Of course they were on Perilous while teaching their young'n how to play so everyone else was carrying them. I could totally get how this was cheesy annoying for the other two players, but having been carried through my first Nightmare match the other day I couldn't help but feel like wanting to help this little kid and dad have their moment.

I was playing an Elementalist, so I did my best to help. I got crazy quick at dropping a fire mine under the fallen Luka, popping Fade Cloak and then tapping revive so they could fight on and I'd survive the revive process.

Apologizing to everyone who had the unfortune do play with my alchemist or hunter on perilous this weekend, was apparently both undergeared and stupid with both. Got a Heartstring bow at the end, which amended some.

 

Then again, I often feel like I'm king of threatening with both of these; there I hardly take a scratch. And with  some classes I go NM. Those gaps between difficulties are ...irritating.

Lag like I've never seen before. Joined mid-match and the Arcane Warrior was down.   He got picked up twice but still showed up as a little skull on my minimap and had press A to revive when  you got near him -- this continued into zone 5.  Zone 5, I finally manage to hop my way to where the rest of the group was engaging the venatori commander and a bunch of other stuff, perform shadow strike -- only to find my weapons cutting through the air back at the banner.  Leap forward again, repeat, air, banner.  Until we were all dead anyway.

Apart from the normal disconnects and being kicked (seemingly) for topping the scoreboard in threatening on my level 1 SS, I found a great group running P dragons. Made friends with a girl named mangoness and ended up running like 15 P dragons. Spent all day with her and another player by the name of dpro (beast archer). Ended up with a bunch of promotes and a Dragon longsword on the last run. Fun times.


OH. And got my second Wicked Grace dagger AND PBtM and Cruel redemption. .. overall, very good weekend


Few more promos and I'll be ready to dip my feet into nm. I'm itching for some hakkons.

Thanks DAMP players!  There is one spot where I always see players leap over a diagonal balcony going down some steps to get to the next area.  Now I do these shortcuts all the time but had never done this particular one so finally my Korbin decides to go for it.  I leap over the railing and get stuck!  I couldn't go to the next part of the map I could short of shimmy part way up the railing and to my surprise I killed off a spawn by doing that.  Was okay after the next door.

 

I feel this was a trap, set up just to make me look foolish.  (Tosses softball towards home plate.....)

There's a spot like that in Tevinter. I once played with a PuG who got stuck and immediately announced "Guys, I did it again!" Then started whining about it. The rest of us took our time clearing the zone. It was great.

I believe it was in the Tevinter map.  I learned my lesson, no more jumping rails in that spot.
