Just joined a PuG match with two top 30 leaderboard players...both went down Zone 4 of NM.

I had to get some tea bagging in...they kicked me.

Just received the following message:

"Your not 1 of us..y u will never b welcomed on these leaderboards and I will make shure this happends..you Proto1089 will never game with us again..I want nothing more 2 do with this gamer..u r bloked and reported..good luck to ya."

Quite right. I think that you should receive a life ban from all online games for teabagging. I would never ever consider doing such a thing (ahem). I am curious as to the outcome of when someone is "bloked", sounds a bit iffy to me, but then again could be interesting

I have to apologize to martin sparks for quitting a game the other day, I joined him playing nightmare, I think he was an archer.  no one else had joined.  I think it was demons on FC.  I was playing a lego, wave 4 he went down but I literally could not get to him I was so surrounded by demons I couldn't get out.  By the time I finally wriggled out he had gone to the fade.  Since it was early in the wave I simply quit the game.  No way I was going to play for 15-20 minutes as a lego trying to clear out that level by myself.

No I literally could not get to him.  I was at that spot just up the wall from the treasure door and got hemmed in by about 10 demons.  All I could do was jump up and down trying to get free.  I felt like a real tool.  On the bright side with the belt of non suckiness equipped my lego was not taking much damage.  I just hate doing any soloing on NM with a non high dps character.  sure I can survive but i hate the ponderous amount of time to even kill a mook.

Martin has made me wait 10+ minutes for him to finish zones in the past. Shouldn't feel guilty. Should have just let yourself die...at least you AND Martin would have gotten the EXP.

Some pugs from yesterday. All played with my Izzy, all played on peri/random.

 

- (Tevinter) Join two Lvl 19 archers midgame. Both keep dying and I fight most of the RTs by myself. We make it to Zone 5 and they go down as soon as Samson shows up. I try to fight alone, but I can't handle the aggro of a full (and now even stronger) Zone by myself and so we wipe.

 

- (Orlais) Join a team made up out of a Saarebas (with Barrier), another Izzy and a Lego. I think the Lego crashed because half through Zone 1 or 2 he's gone and a (Lvl 1) Silent Sister joins. I don't know how the Saarebas was doing it, but she kept dying and instead of realizing that barriering would be better than fighting, she kept using Baqun Barrage. I don't remember how exactly it ended, but I think we wiped in Zone 5.

 

- (Elven Ruins) Join a Virtuoso, another Izzy and a third chara which I can't remember atm. Enemies Qunari. We made it to Zone 5 and mopped the floor with the Commander.

That kind of attitude is not how korbin survived two days fighting the darkspawn!

PUG'd into this particular leaderboarder again. He was on a 19 silent sister carrying a top 12 leaderboarder on a level 1.

I didn't dare risk bringing a high level because I was expecting the boot so I brought my level 3 Saarabadass. Yes, level 3. I had joined a lobby that just wiped and was awarded 3 levels for free earlier in the day. When I joined I received party invites from both of them. But, I was already in a party chit chatting.

We extracted and they did not kick me.

Our 4th PUG leaves as we're readying up for next game. I invite Snakebite who I was in a party with. We get to Zone 5 and the top 12 leaderboarder disappears as we beat the commander.

We get back to the lobby. I was peer-pressured into revenge red-skulking him. Then I was also peer-pressured into sending him the following message:

"You will never be one of us."

Dude. I had a few people that did this to me all the time. VladImpaller would always just leave so he is at least not a dick. Syandra and ThedasEffect would always kick me even if I was the only one that would win the game.

Had an Avvar dude that wouldn't shut up about my assassin running ahead to take out mages/ranges (and only them, I left all the melee doods, I swear)....felt bad, so I treasure sweep for a stage. He still didn't stop whining, so I stole as many kills as I could off him (Korth's Might? *deathblowdeathblowdeathblow*).

 

General question to all: Should I not have done that? Is there another more pug friendly way to assassin?

I mean, if you are not stealing kills he NEEDS for lifesteal there's no reason to whine.

Joined a perilous match, so 3 warriors and 1 rogues (party leader).  Cruising along with the archer spamming "over here" on everything, generally ignored.  Passed up a mage door,3 warriors run by it since no mage.  Rogue spamming and spamming, we port since no mage.  Next zone we get a redskull from the observant rogue.  So the rest of us just ignore him during the torch event since he ran off to due a treasure room.  He died and faded.  THEN he gets on his mic to let us know how we missed some gold.  Course at that point had to point out we have no mage so stop being pi$$ed.  Silence from then out.

Played a lot this weekend, servers were garbage but I got a lot of games in.  Had your classic 'am i ever glad you showed up' moment in my last game.  Myself (Templar) and a katari are the only two left on the last wave of dorkspawn.  No way we are going to beat the last wave, katari is not interested in going after the boss.  I am being whittled down then all of a sudden barriers!  Wonderful wonderful barriers.  A Sara bus has joined and bails us out by keeping us barriered to victory.

Hehe if you are on the PC I know who you ran into.  He is very knowledgable with Avvar but he hates rogues running ahead killing things.  When I am in a PUG with him, I just hang back and help the other people in the party.   He helps me a lot with my Avvar, so I could at least not die as much in Perilous.  But I don't feel comfortable in a PUG with him because sometimes he will stop reviving people that stole his kills.   I just don't want to have too much conflicts in a game.  I just want to kill things and have a good time.

I think that could have been me.  Was running with some friends helping carry some other friends through perilous and my (much more promoted) friend convinced me that support is the best role for the Saarebas.  All I had was barrier, but I guess that worked out.  Tried it in a few other pugs with some success.

I would have redskulled after about the fifth or sixth "come here." After that I would have gotten on my mic to tell him what's up.

 

I had a rather bizarre game - playing as Virtuoso, Cool Beats, Belt of Winter Pact. Joined a Perilous FC PUG in lobby, see a leaderboard player in the group, decide my gimmick strategy is likely viable in light of said player. Host and other player are scrubs. Start the match, things are going ok, although I notice the host is a level 19 Reaver not using Dragon Rage  and the LB player is an Alchemist pretending to be an Assassin - no Mines, no Flasks, just Twin Fangs, SS, and IWNH with Silencer equipped. Doing great damage, don't get me wrong, but no AoE. I also notice lag from the host - not unplayable, but he shouldn't be hosting. Zone 3 I get a bit cocky and despite self-rez'ing several times, end up in the Fade around the end of the Zone. We're fighting Darkspawn, so realize I'm going to have to play more conservatively for Zone 4. Proceed to do so, using cover, popping out to cast CB, back into cover. Sadly host goes into the Fade shortly after the Zone begins, and I once again end up in the Fade when LB player decides to kill all my marked targets, denying me self-rez. Zone was nearly over, other two players clear it. Zone 5, plant the flag, I promptly run to the stairs to use cover while playing a few CB along the way. At the stairs, while in the middle of popping a Lyrium potion, I get assassinated, and discover that the LBer has followed me and killed all my marked targets again. Thanks dude. Host goes into Fade in the next 5 seconds. Then player 2 goes down and can't be revived (glitched) due to host lag, presumably. This leaves LB player with his gimmick build to finish the Zone. He kills everything, leaving the EA for last... and dies to the EA. 

 

I entitled that game "The Charge of the Gimmick Brigade."

Also worth noting, as that after this game we ran a few games duo until out friend Martin jumped into our game.  After another round a pug jumps in on a level 12 Silent Sister... and dies on literally the first enemy we encountered (I wish I were making this up).  After this game, we Pronto decides we should play some Heartbreaker with this player (I wish I was making this up).  We bring an Avvar (me), a Katari (Pronto), a Silent Sister (Martin), and the pug brings a Keeper.  The pug fades sometime around zone 3, the rest of us get Immortal medals.

 

After we get back to the lobby, the pug switches to a level 18 Silent Sister and we ready up for another game.  Apparently the pug thought we did so good on our last run that they quickly switch to a level 1 Arcane Warrior and readies up again.  I can understand bringing a level one into Perilous, or even Nightmare if your teammates are strong enough (and tolerant enough), but Heartbreaker?  With people you don't even know?  Really???  I flashed the red skull a few times, and they decided to drop out instead of switching back to get another free win.  Could we have carried them through?  Sure.  But it's the principle of the matter.

I think I know who you are talking about too.  There are some strange characters who still play DAMP on PC, like another guy who is constantly drunk, singing songs over the mic in a slurred voice, and usually playing alchemist.
